The bathroom was redesigned to improve flow and add functional storage with a modern aesthetic.
Natural walnut cabinetry brings warmth balanced by the subtle movement in the warm gray floor and wall tiles and the white quartz counters and shower surround. We created half walls framing the shower topped with quartz and glass treated for easy maintenance. The angled wall and extra square footage in the water closet were eliminated for a larger vanity.
Floating vanities make the space feel larger and fit the modern aesthetic. The tall pullout storage at her vanity is one-sided to prevent items falling out the back and features shelves with acrylic sides for full product visibility.
We removed the tub deck and bump-out walls with inset shelves for improved flow and wall space for towels.
Now the freestanding tub anchors the middle of the room while allowing easy access to the windows that were blocked by the previous built-in.

I worked with CAD Development to select the cabinetry and stone/tile for this lovely new construction home in Westchester County. I was then hired by the homeowners to decorate the interiors, It was a great job from start to finish!

The bathrooms as very sleek and modern, with flat panel, high gloss cabinetry, white quartz counters, and gray porcelain tile floors. Hired by the owners to provide interior design services for a complete remodel of a mid-century home in Berkeley Hills, California this family of four’s wishes were to create a home that was inviting, playful, comfortable and modern. Slated with a quirky floor plan that needed a rational design solution we worked extensively with the homeowners to provide interior selections for all finishes, cabinet designs, redesign of the fireplace and custom media cabinet, headboard and platform bed. Hues of walnut, white, gray, blues and citrine yellow were selected to bring an overall inviting and playful modern palette. Regan Baker Design was responsible for construction documents and assited with construction administration to help ensure the designs were well executed. Styling and new furniture was paired to compliment a few existing key pieces, including a commissioned piece of art, side board, dining table, console desk, and of course the breathtaking view of San Francisco's Bay.

Rustic and Elegance combine in this luxurious Master Bathroom retreat. 3D diamond shaped tiles seem to flow down the wall like water into this freestanding Soaking tub by Signature Hardware. Glass chicklet tiles line the 3D tiles and help to provide a transition to the oversized 13 x 40 inch wall tiles. White marble is used for trim around the shower and tub areas. Custom wood counters with shaved live edge dress up the His and Hers separate vanities. Although this room is not without light (sourced from a sky light in the ceiling), a chandelier was suspended from a hollowed cedar beam placed between two walls under the sky light to provide drama and keep the room from feeling sterile.

How To Build A Fish Pond, seems to be a frequently asked question in today's day and age, what with Extreme Home Make Over, HGTV, P. Allen Smith and all of the other "Do-It-Yourself" television programs that are flooding our airways.
Once you finally decide that you want a beautiful ecosystem pond to come home to, the next step is to come up with an ecosystem pond design that works for you. This pond design can be a front yard waterscape with curb appeal or a Backyard Waterfall creating your own private get away. If your having trouble designing it yourself you could always have BJL Aquascapes Colts Neck, Monmouth County, NJ help design and build it for you !

Construction Process

The remodeling process began with a complete demolition of the existing space. This phase was necessary to create a blank canvas from which to develop a space that would better serve patients and healthcare professionals alike. The design team, led by Guil, collaborated closely with the client to envision a modern and inviting environment that would significantly improve the clinic's functionality and atmosphere. By focusing on patient comfort and operational efficiency, the redesign aimed to enhance the overall experience for visitors and staff.
A standout feature of this remodel was the installation of glass doors. These doors not only served a practical purpose but also added a modern touch to the clinic. The use of glass allowed for increased natural light to flow into the space, promoting an open and airy feel. This design choice aligns with current trends in healthcare architecture, where patient comfort is prioritized.
Additionally, the choice of materials played a crucial role in the renovation. The installation of travertine tile throughout the walls and desk created a sense of elegance and durability. Travertine is a natural stone that not only provides a high-end look but also offers practical benefits, such as easy maintenance and longevity. The incorporation of engineered wood floors further enhanced the clinic's design. The warmth of wood can help in mitigating the often sterile feeling of medical environments, thereby promoting a more welcoming atmosphere.
Central to the success of this remodel was the dedication and hard work of the entire team at MDRN Remodeling, along with the collaborative spirit formed with the client.
