Kirk Bianchi created this resort like setting for a couple from Mexico City. They were looking for a contemporary twist on traditional themes, and Luis Barragán was the inspiration. The outer walls were painted a darker color to recede, while floating panels of color and varying heights provided sculptural interest and opportunities for lighting and shadow.

The goal of this project was to create an updated, brighter, and larger kitchen for the whole family to enjoy. This new kitchen also needed to seamlessly integrate with the rest of the home both functionally and aesthetically. The laundry room also needed an aesthetic refresh. What sets this kitchen apart is the laminated plywood edging between walnut cabinetry and the door handle detail integrated within those boundaries.

This is a fun project we did a while back. It features a tube steel Pergola with Ipe Runners. The main structure is 3" x 3" square tube columns and 3" x 6" tube beams. Front sides of Columns were capped with ¼” x 6” flat bar to give the structure more of a squared look. All butt welds were ground clean and polished. The entire structure was chemically treated black and coated with a Clear Finish.
The fireplace panel and trim were added shortly after completing the structure. Panels are ¼” hot rolled steel plate. The Paneling was done so that the middle piece rests in front of the sides, giving it more depth and character. The trim panel around the hearth is made from ¼” Flat bar. These were also blackened and cleared.

This custom aluminum shade structure featuring flat end detail and a powder coated finish also incorporates integrated electrical so students may plug in devices for charging. Providing a sense of enclosure and architectural beauty, this aluminum pergola kit enhances the student common area at this Penn State University Campus in New Kensington, PA. This is a commercial grade, low maintenance pergola kit that will last for years.
A powder coated custom Ipê utility screen, as seen in the right rear of the structure, was built to hide the AC units.

The primary goal for this project was to craft a modernist derivation of pueblo architecture. Set into a heavily laden boulder hillside, the design also reflects the nature of the stacked boulder formations. The site, located near local landmark Pinnacle Peak, offered breathtaking views which were largely upward, making proximity an issue. Maintaining southwest fenestration protection and maximizing views created the primary design constraint. The views are maximized with careful orientation, exacting overhangs, and wing wall locations. The overhangs intertwine and undulate with alternating materials stacking to reinforce the boulder strewn backdrop. The elegant material palette and siting allow for great harmony with the native desert.
The Elegant Modern at Estancia was the collaboration of many of the Valley's finest luxury home specialists. Interiors guru David Michael Miller contributed elegance and refinement in every detail. Landscape architect Russ Greey of Greey | Pickett contributed a landscape design that not only complimented the architecture, but nestled into the surrounding desert as if always a part of it. And contractor Manship Builders -- Jim Manship and project manager Mark Laidlaw -- brought precision and skill to the construction of what architect C.P. Drewett described as "a watch."

Dan Brunn Architecture prides itself on the economy and efficiency of its designs, so the firm was eager to incorporate BONE Structure’s steel system in Bridge House. Combining classic post-and-beam structure with energy-efficient solutions, BONE Structure delivers a flexible, durable, and sustainable product. “Building construction technology is so far behind, and we haven’t really progressed,” says Brunn, “so we were excited by the prospect working with BONE Structure.”

SDC Signature (Space Decor Contractors LLC) completely reimagined this tired, dated den, transforming it into a modern, beautiful, and fundamentally safe living space. The original room suffered from significantly uneven ceilings and an outdated aesthetic that caused the homeowner structural concerns. Our comprehensive scope of work went far beyond simple finishes—we focused on restoring absolute structural integrity and peace of mind.
We executed a precise structural overhaul, reinforcing the main central beam and implementing a custom scissor framing system to safely raise and perfectly level the ceiling joists. By removing all the outdated wiring and installing new, code-compliant electrical for energy-efficient recessed LED lighting, we eliminated hidden hazards behind the walls.
The homeowner was absolutely thrilled with the final result. Beyond the stunning visual upgrade, she now has the security and confidence of knowing the "bones" of her home are expertly reinforced and built to last.
Key Transformation Details:
Structural Engineering & Safety: Reinforcement of the main beam and installation of a custom scissor framing system to securely level and elevate the ceiling.
Modernization: Complete removal of heavy drop ceilings, old wall paneling, and a gas fireplace to create a clean, open, and safe layout.
Premium Finishes: Expertly hung and finished smooth drywall on ceilings and walls, fresh premium paint throughout, and new custom trim.
Upgrades: Installation of safe, modern recessed lighting, dedicated electrical connection prep for a future mini-split HVAC system, and professional floor repairs.
This project highlights our commitment to delivering uncompromised craftsmanship. At SDC Signature, we don't just build beautiful spaces; we build trust and lasting structural security for discerning homeowners.
