Lift & Slide Doors by Marvin Windows and Doors opens the entire wall up from Game Room to Outdoor Kitchen/Back Porch. Phantom Screens lift up and down to ensure a bug-free environment on the porch.

My top design goal was to create a functional workshop for cooking that improved the client's lifestyle. The layout was key: especially using separate food prep and clean-up sinks to create individual workstations. The step-in corner pantry is a very efficient use of floor space and maximizes not only storage capacity but also visibility—the client opens one door and can see everything she has on hand at a glance. This is the feature she likes best. The husband is the primary cook and he loves the high-BTU burner Wolf rangetop. It accommodates his 13-inch All-Clad saute pan with ease and makes all his stovetop cooking faster, better, and more fun. Aesthetically, I wanted to create a sophisticated look that would enhance the atmosphere of the living area while defying trendiness.

Open Plan Dining was updated and made to feel more intimate with the addition of Cove Moldings, Wall Paper and Casually Elegant printed linen Drapery. The Clients furniture was repurposed from their previous home. The Family Room, at the side of the Dining Room is casually arranged and has built-in storage for lots of toys and books for the Grandkids. The Kitchen and Casual Dining is seen in the rear.

By opening up the wall between the two rooms, we were able to create separate walk-in closets and an expansive master bath with steam shower, custom vanities, a makeup vanity and separate room for the loo.

Our clients desired an organic and airy look for their kitchen and living room areas. Our team began by painting the entire home a creamy white and installing all new white oak floors throughout. The former dark wood kitchen cabinets were removed to make room for the new light wood and white kitchen. The clients originally requested an "all white" kitchen, but the designer suggested bringing in light wood accents to give the kitchen some additional contrast. The wood ceiling cloud helps to anchor the space and echoes the new wood ceiling beams in the adjacent living area. To further incorporate the wood into the design, the designer framed each cabinetry wall with white oak "frames" that coordinate with the wood flooring. Woven barstools, textural throw pillows and olive trees complete the organic look. The original large fireplace stones were replaced with a linear ripple effect stone tile to add modern texture. Cozy accents and a few additional furniture pieces were added to the clients existing sectional sofa and chairs to round out the casually sophisticated space.

Comfortable window seats provide quiet spots for family and friends to enjoy the view. Beautiful cabinetry with open shelving provides ample storage, while giving collectibles the attention they deserve.

Like the rest of the suite, the wall in the bathroom are also white. In this case, a larger section this room was accented with the darker wood panels to add drama. The deep soaking tub has room for two, and fantastic views of the backyard. The modern vanity is extra large for ample storage space, and plenty of room for each person to have their own space.
Each sink is an undermount to maintain clean, uninterrupted lines on the counter. The whole vanity is mounted above the floor, which not only avoids subbed toes in the morning, it helps to lighten the presence of this large piece.

This large space did not function well for this family of 6. The cabinetry they had did not go to the ceiling and offered very poor storage options. The island that existed was tiny in comparrison to the space.
By taking the cabinets to the ceiling, enlarging the island and adding large pantry's we were able to achieve the storage needed. Then the fun began, all of the decorative details that make this space so stunning. Beautiful tile for the backsplash and a custom metal hood. Lighting and hardware to complement the hood.
Then, the vintage runner and natural wood elements to make the space feel more homey.
