Community requirements state that each home must have a cedar shake roof. We successfully worked with the builder and client to achieve a contemporary exterior in a heavily traditional community. Situated on the shore of newfound lake in central new hampshire, this outdoor retreat looks west over the spring fed waters toward the mountains beyond. Our design intent was to provide the homeowners with a viewing perspective that captured the feel of lakefront living. The fire pit terrace, situated on a plane aligned with the home’s main floor, uses native granite from a nearby quarry to create a refined campfire retreat. This carefully calculated elevation makes the upper plateau appear to jut out into the lake. A quick walk down a grass path with granite lawn treads brings us to a private beach for lounging and water access. Transitioning from refined to rustic successfully makes the landscape feel cohesive and inviting.

Situated on the west slope of Mt. Baker Ridge, this remodel takes a contemporary view on traditional elements to maximize space, lightness and spectacular views of downtown Seattle and Puget Sound. We were approached by Vertical Construction Group to help a client bring their 1906 craftsman into the 21st century. The original home had many redeeming qualities that were unfortunately compromised by an early 2000’s renovation. This left the new homeowners with awkward and unusable spaces. After studying numerous space plans and roofline modifications, we were able to create quality interior and exterior spaces that reflected our client’s needs and design sensibilities. The resulting master suite, living space, roof deck(s) and re-invented kitchen are great examples of a successful collaboration between homeowner and design and build teams.

Tustin residents can rightfully claim fantastic quality and ambiance while accommodating comfort in their "New Bathroom Remodeling" project. For this Tustin Bathroom Remodeling, the "natural stone look" ceramic tile was desired in the design to alleviate upkeep while keeping elements of a more "Modern look" intact. A Frame less glass shower door was installed with glass liner. The tile is accented with a multi-tone back splash to tie it together. This design utilized the elements of glass, ceramic tile, and raised ceilings, essential to create comfort and space evident in this bathroom remodeling project. This Tustin bathroom remodeling project was an Epic success! The Clients are ecstatic with there new design in Orange County..

This is a new construction built by Lowell Management. Todd Cauffman was the architect. The homeowners were building their last home and wanted to integrate different elements from the homes that they had previously lived in. This home is successful marriage of many styles and concepts. Beth Welsh of Interior Changes worked hand in hand with the homeowners to get the casual feel that they were hoping for.Interior Changes

This beautiful lake and snow lodge site on the waters edge of Lake Sunapee, and only one mile from Mt Sunapee Ski and Snowboard Resort. The home features conventional and timber frame construction. MossCreek's exquisite use of exterior materials include poplar bark, antique log siding with dovetail corners, hand cut timber frame, barn board siding and local river stone piers and foundation. Inside, the home features reclaimed barn wood walls, floors and ceilings.

This 80-year-old neighbourhood character home became a model of environmental awareness when it successfully demonstrated how recycling, energy efficiency and "healthy-home" features could be retrofitted. Several innovative environmental features, not yet in the marketplace were incorporated into this cozy vintage home. Harald Koehn Construction won a British Columbia Home Builders' Association Gold Georgie and a Canadian Home Builders national award for this renovation.

Hill Creek is a sophisticated Southern Estate property located on a quiet cove of Lake Tyler. We were commissioned to develop design solutions that would maximize usable space while considering challenging topography. Early in the project, we worked closely with the builder to set the finished floor elevation of the house and remedy drainage problems throughout the construction process. The primary concern for the client early on was how to deal with the transitional zones above and below the house. We had a 40’ grade differential from the front of the house to the lake and we needed to minimize the impact step transitions and retaining walls would have on the aesthetic. The final product was the successful result of an intense collaborative process that often felt more like a game of tug-o-war. Once the front Parking Court retaining walls were laid out and built, We could move on to designing the back pool terrace and tackle the second grade transition from the lakeside Pool deck to the water. There are so many small details that can get overlooked or lost on a project of this scope. The overall charm and beauty achieved here is testimony to the value of positive and often relentless collaboration between Owner, Landscape Architect, Builder and Architect. Project Vitals Hill Creek was developed through a Design/Build project delivery model with Landvisions providing Landscape Architecture services, Construction Services, Project Management and Construction Administrative services for the now successful completion of this project.
