Constructed entirely in Sherman Oaks, this outdoor renovation combines structural carpentry, precision hardscape installation, strategic plant layout, and efficient irrigation planning to create a private, durable, and visually refined backyard environment designed for modern Sherman Oaks living.

This garden comprises a complex layering of textures and subtle coloring. Also many of the plantings were designed to attract wildlife and the overall design was one of elegance, with a combination of naturalistic and formal plantings. Special attention was paid in the site planning and garden design to the water wise design of this landscape. The brick is unmortared with a sand base to ensure the return of valuable water to the soil and plantings. Plantings are arranged according to water needs, good soil preparation was paramount, plantings are irrigated by drip system and a good covering of wood mulch was used.

Don’t repeat the whole project story on every image. Designed to improve water flow while restoring structure and visual depth.

Collaborated on project development from design and permitting to installation in 2014. Over 10 years, we’ve maintained close communication with the owners and their maintenance provider, RP Marzilli to ensure the landscape is kept in top condition. The sloping yard allowed us to create a stunning infinity-edge pool, while the large evergreen plantings provide privacy and edge habitat.
