The client wanted a brown roof but did not like a mono dark color so we created this multi shaded roof which met his requirements perfectly. We supplied Arris style hips which allows the roof to fold over at the corners rather than using bulky hip tiles which draw attention to the hips.

The shelf's shallow depth also makes the area perfect for supervised water play with toddlers. The bottom is surfaced in grey tile to match the pool's interior, this adds practicality for reduced water levels during winter.

The customer’s requests were common ones included in backyard makeovers: he wanted to enjoy the pool and spa and be able to barbeque and sit around a barwith some shade. He also wanted a fire pit seating area, in which to relax after a full day of fun and sun. The project was a new backyard installation, which gave the designer a blank canvas with which to work. Not having to deal with removing or working around existing items makes construction easier. The custom built pool included many features, including remote controls, automation, saltwater, ozone, a PV3 cleaning system, Pentair variable speed pumps and filters, waterfalls and fountains. The state-of-the-art hardscapes included an outdoor kitchen with a travertine counter-top, a custom ramada and fire pit, lots of bench seating and stone work, pavers, and an acrylic “lace” patio. Meanwhile, the beautiful softscapes included grass, plants and queen palm, sissoo and tipu trees.

This 20 year old kitchen was in desperate need of an update! The original cabinets were still in great shape so we gave them a makeover with a custom faux paint application. The old island was too long and too narrow, so a new island was created and installed adding more storage and function to this space. The gorgeous metallic subway tiled backsplash blends beautifully with their new granite. The popcorn was removed from the ceiling and the walls were textured and glazed. A custom granite-top table was created and comfy leather chairs selected. The pendant lights add a great accent and ambiance to this charming kitchen. 3,800sf, 4 bdrm, 3.5 bath with oversized 4 car garage and over 270sf Loggia; climate controlled wine room and bar, Tech Room, landscaping and pool. THEME There are two priorities in this room: Hockey (in this case, Washington Capitals hockey) and FUN. FOCUS The room is broken into two main sections (one for kids and one for adults); and divided by authentic hockey boards, complete with yellow kickplates and half-inch plexiglass. Like a true hockey arena, the room pays homage to star players with two fully autographed team jerseys preserved in cases, as well as team logos positioned throughout the room on custom-made pillows, accessories and the floor. The back half of the room is made just for kids. Swings, a dart board, a ball pit, a stage and a hidden playhouse under the stairs ensure fun for all. STORAGE A large storage unit at the rear of the room makes use of an odd-shaped nook, adds support and accommodates large shelves, toys and boxes. Storage space is cleverly placed near the ballpit, and will eventually transition into a full storage area once the pit is no longer needed. The back side of the hockey boards hold two small refrigerators (one for adults and one for kids), as well as the base for the audio system. GROWTH The front half of the room lasts as long as the family’s love for the team. The back half of the room grows with the children, and eventually will provide a useable, wide open space as well as storage. SAFETY A plexiglass wall separates the two main areas of the room, minimizing the noise created by kids playing and hockey fans cheering. It also protects the big screen TV from balls, pucks and other play objects that occasionally fly by. The ballpit door has a double safety lock to ensure supervised use.
