These blinds were custom made for sliding doors and pocket doors. Their depth is only 1 1/4 inches and they come with a special swing stop so they don't move while the doors are opened. They also don't get caught in the panels because of their unique installation. The chain also got a special swing stop...The blinds are made for doors up to 9 feet in width and 11 feet in height....ask for more information.

A family friendly garden that, doesn't look like, well, a family garden. That was the assignment. Clean lines, a modern feel, not too much work, enough space for the kids to play and, oh yeah, a cage for the rabbit all in a space less than 50 m2.
The new extension on the back of the house, catty cornered slightly with the original facade and the garden boundaries brought it's own challenges. This diagonal was used to make extra space for different functions but "straightened" in the experience of the inner square. Inside the aluminum pergola (coated in the same gray - ral 7016 - as the woodwork on the extension) house various functions: the rabbit cage, a water and sand table, the swing (steel rod in the aluminum for extra support) and a table where the kids can draw or play table football.

The hinge is offset in two directions so that it stays level in all directions except the necessary uphill direction, and only as it opens. The hinge is made of a stainless steel heim joint system. The gate is solid forged aluminum, painted with a European wrought iron paint, with a dry brushed copper accent. The operators are heavy duty Viking F1 operators, with custom heavy duty, steel security boxes with locks. The safety systems include driveway loops, photo eyes, and obstruction sensors. The special features included a powerful electro-magnetic latch in the middle, interior keypad exit, automatic free exit loop, telephone entry system, and long distance remote entry system.

What kid doesn't love monkey bars, two swings and a slide? If they are the imaginative type, they can also play with the telescope or challenge their friends to a game of tic-tac-toe.

It seems kids grow out of spaces so quickly. This teenager wanted to transition away from her colorful, juvenile bedroom into a more peaceful, serene space she could relax and do homework in. Neutral colors, plants, and throw pillows were used to add to the Zen feel of the space. A textured wallpaper behind the bed adds a subtle, yet interesting focal point. And what teenage girl doesn't want a hanging hammock chair to chill out in?!
