This client came to me with a vision after moving into their new home- they wanted cozy, warm, and livable. At heart, they still love the classic and traditional design of European styled furniture, but knew they needed an update. The crisp white coverlet, and herringbone linen duvet and Euros are fresh, clean, and elegant. This bright monochromatic custom bedding is the perfect balance to the rich dark mahogany woods and deep taupe paint on the walls. This Master Bedroom is a breath of fresh air; the perfect retreat.

Eat-in kitchen - mid-sized cottage l-shaped light wood floor eat-in kitchen idea in Sacramento with an undermount sink, shaker cabinets, beige cabinets, white backsplash, stainless steel appliances and an island

Room was transformed from a "pink parlor" to a peaceful cream and taupe oasis. Furniture was recovered, ornate drapery was replaced with simple pinch-pleat panels, existing art and mirror was grouped together gallery style and it was all topped off with a glass beaded chandelier.

A taupe colored upholstered chair and ottoman make the perfect place to curl up with a good book. Dark, rich woods paired with light upholstery help to create a hotel-inspired retreat. A heavy crystal lamp atop the dresser offers a soft glow or light to read by. The wall-to-wall carpeting is wool with a sisal pattern. Photography By: Grey Crawford

A strong bed is juxtaposed with crisp cotton linens and carpet, and the boy's own artwork is framed on the wall. The curtains are sheer but there is a blackout roll-up shade behind for room darkening. An antique drafting table doubles as desk when needed.
