She initially quotes something and then changes price again midway. She also tends to mix the Staging contracts with Realtor contracts and causes inconvenience to the Clients. She does display attitude also sometimes. I highly suggest going with someone else who is easy to deal with

I was so lucky to work with Shandrika on my recent home update project. The kitchen is the centerpiece of the project, and Shandrika gets credit for the entire design, including cabinetry, countertops, backsplash, hardware, lighting and flooring. (I did pick out the light fixtures, but Shandrika pushed me toward big, bold shades instead of little pendants, and she was so right!) Beyond the kitchen, she was an indispensable design partner on flooring throughout the house, a new fireplace insert, lighting upgrades, cabinetry in the dining room, and bathroom upgrades. I always thought of myself as someone with a great design sense, but I now know that if I had done this all on my own it still would've looked dated. Shandrika not only got my home updated she got ME updated. She showed me how to think differently about home design and pointed me to great resources. I make better design choices now, thanks to her. Another big advantage of working with Shandrika is that she is a realtor. So she makes design recommendations in the context of home value. She understands what kind of upgrades will get a return when it's time to sell, even though that was not my immediate objective. With virtually no idea how to make the cedar wood paneling, redwood stained fireplace panels, wood ceiling, etc. find its way into the new millennium, we contacted Shandi (upon seeing her great reviews on Houzz.com). To our relief, Shandi easily replied something like, "No problem, I can work with wood!" And, so she did! Not only did she transform the old 70's look into a beautiful new contemporary home of 2015, but she did so (at every step of the way) in consultation with us as to what we wanted. Unlike many who are selling a home and just renting furniture, we get to keep much of our wonderful furnishings that we purchased with Shandi's great advice and transfer them to our new home! Shandi transformed (remodeling design) of our kitchen at a fraction of the cost that it would have been had we had to hire a kitchen/bath remodeling firm. And, our new "open concept" kitchen/family room looks spectacular! Moreover, Shandi was there for us - every step of the way - in terms of preparing our home for our first seller's "Open House." I can't say enough wonderful things about Shandrika. First, her taste is impeccable. She has an incredibly eye for understanding how a space should work and how to use details to pull a feeling into a room. She not only takes into account overall good taste, but also my personal preferences, as well as the feeling of the house, staying true to a cohesive feel. Second, Shandrika has a wonderful sense of budget. She is totally willing to work within a budget, to do ala carte projects, consult on a few items, or shepherd a project start to finish. I have used her for a bathroom project and am in the midst of a kitchen remodel and continue to look forward to relying on her!

Where do I start?! My wife and I have three children all six and under and we own and operate a business together. So to say we are busy is an understatement. We purchased a house 3 years ago and had lived in the house for 2 years before we had had enough of our jumbled mixture of furniture, organization, colors, art and overall style (we had none!) and decided to do something about it. I started to research Houzz and other sites/stores for ideas and was going to do it myself when I quickly realized that I had no idea what I was doing and that type of thinking was likely what got me to this point in the first place. We needed a professional! We found Shandrika through some friends whose house looked so well put together we asked for their secret and they gave us her business card. Not only is it their secret but as it turns out quite a few people we know and whose style we admired use Shandi on a regular basis. Now we were getting somewhere. After our first consultation I thought she would never return. My wife and I had two totally different visions and directions for our house and we are both passionate about our ideas. Shandi did return and over the course of the last year has somehow managed to mesh our two ideas into one beautiful house. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the way our house is coming together and have continued to work with Shandi on a regular basis. In fact we had her totally redo our business decor as well and we get comments from our patients all the time about how great our office looks and how it reflects our personalities. Seriously, Shandi is great to work with. She is warm and inviting and listens to your ideas and will give you suggestions without being judgmental. If she doesn't think something will work she will tell you but will also have multiple ideas of things that could work. She has a great depth of knowledge about different styles, colors, furniture, designers, and can work within a budget. She works hard for your business and isn't afraid to redo/change a project if for some reason it doesn't work out the first time(this happened a couple of times for us). She even found time during Christmas to help us decorate our 15 ft Christmas tree even though she was already booked out decorating Wineries and other clients. I could go on and on about Shandi. Over the past year I have worked with Shandi enough that I do, and will continue to, recommend her to anyone needing deign services.

This was my third decorating job that I've used Shandrika on. We were moving into a smaller, older, uglier home and we tasked Shandrika with making it immediately liveable. She took charge on moving day, telling the movers where to place furniture and immediately set into hanging paintings and photos that made our "new" home feel like it was ours. We had a very limited budget, so Shandi set out to purchase decorative items, pillows and rugs that would make the rooms much warmer. Not only did she give me the perfect color to paint the room, but gave me design ideas for the rest of my home. Shandrika is friendly , respectful and direct. She is a magician with colors. I wanted to do a faux finish and I was having a problem with the colors to use in my office. I hired Shandrika, she listened,explored what I was trying to create and presto.....it was done. I then hired her for all my other interior painting and have been delighted with the result. Shandrika Powell went above and beyond for me in my decorating efforts. She helped me find the items that would make my flat my home and she then helped me to coordinate them with the items I would not let go of in a way that brought new life to my older possessions. Shandrika even helped me to choose paint color and also to paint my space well so that I could have a fresh start after a major life change. She was thoughtful of my needs throughout and in regards to every aspect of the project. She saw to it that I used blue tape to demarcate the furniture I planned on adding to each room to determine if it would fit. She saw to it that I purchased the exact right type of paint for each room so the quality of the paint would be right for the space, and she ensured that I got the best deal possible on all of the furniture purchases.
