Over at Luxury Italian kitchen designs, it is not uncommon to see the use of state-of-the-art appliances blend seamlessly. Appliances are not the center of attention as they used to be in the past; they are integrated into a smooth working environment.

We typically meet clients who want to renovate with a need, want or desire in mind. In this case, our client needed to update their full bath as the tub and shower plumbing was leaking into the walls, floor and sub-floor; a complete de-construction was required. Upon investigation, we noticed no mechanical ventilation in place which caused moisture build up and mold to appear. Installing the proper ventilation was ley to ensuring a heathy bathroom environment. All fixtures were replaced along with a wood vanity with drawer for tissue and towel storage. A popular trend, classic Carrera-look quartz countertop, wall and floor tiles created an airy and bright feel. The soft green colored walls was the perfect choice, coordinating nicely with the pretty glass tile mosaic details in the shower area.

The stone selection, the architectural details and the custom drapery make this room, as do the small choices like the throw, the shelf styling and the stain on the wood shelves.

Our Revival House designer was asked to transform this dated condo living area into a highly functional kitchen, buffet, and dry bar that reflects the homeowners' eclectic taste. To accomplish this, our designer chose distinctly industrial fixtures and hardware but mixed in three different door styles, an array of colors, hardware styles, finishes, and countertops with a nod to the eclectic. This is not your average kitchen, and it is stunning. This space incorporates three different cabinet finishes on three distinct door styles by Decor. The kitchen perimeter and buffet cabinetry employ a custom door style with an added detail to elevate the look. The dry bar and island utilize a timeless, Shaker-style door. The light cabinets in Willow paint and Mist stain on clear alder and the dark tone of Black Fox paint effortlessly define the to areas within the space - one for meal prep and one for entertainment. Every design decision and choice of material was purposeful in creating this unique kitchen space. The kitchen cabinetry is adorned with an elegant, polished Cambria Quartz in Inverness Frost, contrasted with the edgy, honed Ebony Granite from the Artisan Group for the buffet and dry bar. This Industrial Eclectic Kitchen transformation is full of unique design elements and attention to detail and will inspire meal preparation and family gatherings for years to come. Material choices such as antique brick, reclaimed granite, and natural-cleft bluestone were all incorporated into the composition to create a timeless beauty all within the context of a bygone setting. Directly adjacent to the driveway and guest parking, the ‘kitchen garden’ was surrounded by a custom-built cedar fence with a self-closing cannonball gate. Herbs and cutting perennials fill the space as well as a small bench for reflection or to take a break from tending to the garden. From a functional standpoint, this has become the most-used entrance to the house, with the original main door serving only as decoration. The arrival sequence is easy to understand and has the guests passing through the landscape on a well-lit path via our hand-built copper lantern atop an architectural post. Planting was purposely kept to a minimum with mostly perennials and a couple of common lilacs — all keeping within the design intent. Existing natural-cleft bluestone was repurposed with a linear approach for a dining and lounging terrace in the rear of the property. Three sides are surrounded by sun-loving plants with grass coming right up to the patio offering a seamless transition to the yard beyond. Simple, elegant, and timeless.
