Maraya Interior Design's own Maraya Droney designed and built home to raise her young family, with her husband, Tim Droney, contractor. Country English Cottage style home with exotic interiors that reflect the travel the Droney's have had, all over the world, from India to Bhutan, to Morocco and Holland, to name a few. Maraya's inspiration was the homes in Holland, where she is from, bringing the warmth and charm as well as gardens to sunny southern Cal where she grew up. From their beautiful resort town of Ojai, they serve clients in Montecito, Hope Ranch, Santa Ynez, Malibu and Calabasas, across the tri-county area of Santa Barbara, Ventura and Los Angeles, south to Hidden Hills and Calabasas.

The owner travels a lot, especially because she loves Thailand and Sri Lanka. These countries tend to mix modernity with traditions, and we did the same in the interior. Despite quite natural and rustic feels, the apartment is equipped with hi-tech amenities that guarantee a comfortable life. It’s like a bungalow made of wood, clay, linen and all-natural. Handmade light is an important part of every MAKHNO Studio project. Wabi Sabi searches for simplicity and harmony with nature.

After a complete renovation of their beautiful home in Boulder County, our client enlisted AWID to take their project across the finish line by designing and furnishing their entryway, family room, dining room, and piano room. The carefully curated spaces were designed to embrace the casual elegance of our clients and their home; a country estate nestled in horse country. The project includes custom furnishings, draperies, and accessories. As that portion of the project began to wind down, AWID moved on to the homeowner's home office. Stunning grasscloth covers the walls and a custom built-in bookcase is the perfect place to display treasures from our client's years of working and traveling abroad. AWID then moved on to the primary suite, designing a sanctuary by installing a new custom fireplace, furnishings, and draperies.

These images and the accompanying letter touched us deeply today.... "Those pieces have traveled with us across the country...A requirement of each of our homes has been that they graciously accommodate the dining room set...We've attached pictures from the New Mexico and Oregon homes so you can see how the dining table has shown off in each setting...We wanted to let you know how your creations have enriched our surroundings and been part of the fabric of our lives." #gratitude #weloveourcustomers #jeffreygreenedesignstudio #custommadefurniture #extensionleaves# peggeddiningtable #woodjoinery #woodworking #customfabricated

When Ami McKay was asked by the owners of Park Place to design their new home, she found inspiration in both her own travels and the beautiful West Coast of Canada which she calls home. This circa-1912 Vancouver character home was torn down and rebuilt, and our fresh design plan allowed the owners dreams to come to life. A closer look at Park Place reveals an artful fusion of diverse influences and inspirations, beautifully brought together in one home. Within the kitchen alone, notable elements include the French-bistro backsplash, the arched vent hood (including hidden, seamlessly integrated shelves on each side), an apron-front kitchen sink (a nod to English Country kitchens), and a saturated color palette—all balanced by white oak millwork. Floor to ceiling cabinetry ensures that it’s also easy to keep this beautiful space clutter-free, with room for everything: chargers, stationery and keys. These influences carry on throughout the home, translating into thoughtful touches: gentle arches, welcoming dark green millwork, patterned tile, and an elevated vintage clawfoot bathtub in the cozy primary bathroom.

Designers gave the house a wood-and-steel façade that blends traditional and industrial elements.Photography by Eric Hausman Designers gave the house a wood-and-steel façade that blends traditional and industrial elements. This home’s noteworthy steel shipping container construction material, offers a streamlined aesthetic and industrial vibe, with sustainable attributes and strength. Recycled shipping containers are fireproof, impervious to water and stronger than traditional building materials. Inside, muscular concrete walls, burnished cedar beams and custom oak cabinetry give the living spaces definition, decorative might, and storage and seating options. For more than 40 years, Fredman Design Group has been in the business of Interior Design. Throughout the years, we’ve built long-lasting relationships with our clients through our client-centric approach. When creating designs, our decisions depend on the personality of our clients—their dreams and their aspirations. We manifest their lifestyle by incorporating elements of design with those of our clients to create a unique environment, down to the details of the upholstery and accessories. We love it when a home feels finished and lived in, with various layers and textures. While each of our clients and their stories has varied over the years, they’ve come to trust us with their projects—whether it’s a single room to the larger complete renovation, addition, or new construction. They value the collaborative team that is behind each project, embracing the diversity that each designer is able to bring to their project through their love of art, travel, fashion, nature, history, architecture or film—ultimately falling in love with the nurturing environments we create for them. We are grateful for the opportunity to tell each of clients’ stories through design. What story can we help you tell? Call us today to schedule your complimentary consultation - 312-587-9184

__ We had so much fun designing in this Spanish meets beach style with wonderful clients who travel the world with their 3 sons. The clients had excellent taste and ideas they brought to the table, and were always open to Jamie's suggestions that seemed wildly out of the box at the time. The end result was a stunning mix of traditional, Meditteranean, and updated coastal that reflected the many facets of the clients. The bar area downstairs is a sports lover's dream, while the bright and beachy formal living room upstairs is perfect for book club meetings. One of the son's personal photography is tastefully framed and lines the hallway, and custom art also ensures this home is uniquely and divinely designed just for this lovely family. __ Design by Eden LA Interiors Photo by Kim Pritchard Photography

Once you open the double doors, a cascading oak and iron staircase are front and center. Your eyes will travel upward to the breathtaking ceiling where gorgeous double paneling encases the entrance and cascades up the oak and metal staircase. A brilliant new matte iron chandler alights the new hardwood floors.
