This small formal patio was created to utilize the existing fountain and concrete pond. Clay pavers nicely encircle the pond to add interest to the patio and stay true to the craftsmanship of the estate. Gardens surround the back property so there is always great views of the carefully manicured gardens from the patio. The lions head fountain tops off the patio experience with the southing sound of water.

After building their first home this Bloomfield couple didn't have any immediate plans on building another until they saw this perfect property for sale. It didn't take them long to make the decision on purchasing it and moving forward with another building project. With the wife working from home it allowed them to become the general contractor for this project. It was a lot of work and a lot of decision making but they are absolutely in love with their new home. It is a dream come true for them and I am happy they chose me and Dillman & Upton to help them make it a reality.

A true challenge...This property had fallen out of escrow several times before it became our residence. Apparently, know one knew what to do with this 1954 California ranch. After several months, my former partner and I decided to blend my favorite "craftsman" and his "clean modern" elements together. Always listen to the home, consider it a type of architectural dance and the home will lead you. Strong use of horizontal warm native redwoods contrasting smooth exterior stucco. Water elements that greet you at the entrance and reappear in the geometrically inspired rear garden. This was personally, one of my favorite projects.

Brass is Back! A north Dallas kitchen with an eclectic vibe. The original kitchen was very small. We combined the kitchen, laundry room, dry bar, under stair pantry and opened up walls to the three surrounding rooms to make this kitchen the true center of the house. The owners entertain a bunch and have events where people are inside and outside on their amazing property. They wanted to have flow to/from their side yard which features a fireplace, play areas, cabana bath, etc...

This stunning Spanish property we recently completed was an absolute dream to design and install. A thoughtful mix of textures and colors, balanced with intentional negative space, has transformed the front yard into a true sanctuary and the backyard into the ultimate retreat. Drought tolerant and fire resistant has never looked better!
