The goals of this project was to create an open, clean crisp space that is still warm and inviting. Designers used high ceilings and great light warmed with natural wood accents to achieve the clients ultimate goal. The island size stood as a challenge since it was larger than any one slab could adequately cover, but it is the perfect proportion for the kitchen. The challenge was deciding the best placement for the seam of the stone. All this planning resulted in a welcoming kitchen that is also open, clean, and crisp. While the home has a lot to offer, the third level master bath has always been a major issue. While small and confined, the design team at Michael Nash Design, Build & Homes felt it had potential. By making better use of its sloped room and finding a bit of added space in an adjacent attic, the new design can truly be called a master bathroom. The homeowner’s wish list included a large shower, a soaking tub and a long vanity with two sinks. With a built-in shower bench, storage niches, and a frameless glass enclosure, the new shower transformed the space. The soaker tub and judicious use of multi-colored tile emphasizes the contemporary flair the design has achieved. The client greatly enjoys her dream bathroom. She has achieved her ultimate goal of large, usable bathroom with lots of amenities.

Our teams accomplished this by extending the living space into the backyard with comfortable seating, a cozy stone fireplace, surround sound and TV all controlled by your phone!

This third car addition to an existing house creates a harmonious addition to the existing house. The owner wished to take a two-car two door garage and turn it into a three-car space with two doors. The ultimate goal was to gain much-needed space and to have an addition that looks like it was originally built with the house. I think it achieved the goal!

The ultimate goal for the comprehensive remodel of this 1920’s home was to refocus areas of gathering so they would engage with each other in a way that may not have been the case before. We used bold and rich colors, a great deal pattern play and a cosmopolitan mix of classic, vintage, one of a kind upholstered furnishings and heirloom pieces to create a home that is beautiful and personal. It is a home that truly brings JOY.

This customer installed our 1x6 Premium Primed Shiplap himself using tips obtained from his Contractor, Patrick Frenking from Frenking Construction. The boards went up easily and the look compliments the salvaged steel windows well! The creative process led him down the road of oak window casements which blend well with the home's 1915 craftsman style and really round out the feel the homeowner was looking to obtain. The ultimate goal was to have a Sunroom on steroids for overall better utilization of the backyard. This homeowner is happy to now have better light for the home, and loves that the shiplap helps keep it a bit causal but also increases the "keep it interesting" factor!

One of our most current plans all began when the owners of a South Charlotte home just off Park Road contacted us to replace half of their HardiePlank siding. The previous owner had added onto the home, and the current homeowners were interested in having the whole left side of the exterior covered in HardiePlank replacement siding to give their home a more cohesive look. The ultimate goal was to make the addition seamlessly flow into the design of to the existing home….as if it was part of the original house plan.
