If you're looking for a distinctive commercial exterior cladding option, Triangle Brick Company's Biscayne Bay is the perfect choice. This Master Bedroom remodel is part of an extensive push out of the existing floor plan. The other 2 projects with this are "Master Bathroom floating wall and Master Dressing Room. A sitting area with temperature sensor gas fire has a custom designed fire surround with flanking display shelves. The swivel rocker chairs allow either reading by the fire or with a turn watching the wall hung TV. The new wall of French doors with flanking fixed panels allows a lot of light in this bedroom as well as the 2 new windows either side of the Kingsize bed.
The tray ceiling has a soft effect as all the walls and trim are in the same color, giving an architectural envelope to this beautiful room.

The Glenview Haus Classic Collection of front doors provides solid wood doors with elegant, archetypal designs. The great room incorporates a living and dining and is open to the kitchen as well as a luxurious back patio. It is the perfect place for entertaining. In this space we used rich wood furniture, including a custom exotic wood scroll bench. Cream and white leather upholstery is predominant with hammered silver nail head trim as accents. An antiqued silver leafed custom bar cabinet in an alcove in the back of the space was custom made just for the client. A floor lamp with crystal accents highlights the gorgeous crystal lamp that rests on the sofa table. A large contemporary art piece on the wall brings in some color and interest. We refinished the walnut strip wood flooring in a darker color for more contrast and placed a custom pony hair area rug to the living room floor for added dimension and luxury. Lots of metal and glass furniture accents are seen throughout. A metallic drapery rod and custom horizontally striped drapery panels over motorized roman shades add a glamorous feel to the space. For an upscale look we used grass cloth and mica wall coverings on the dining room wall. An inlaid walnut sunburst table is surrounded by custom upholstered dining chairs and the focal point is the custom chandelier made with quartz crystal clusters in varied lengths over the dining room table. A player piano in the corner of the room adds to the entertainment ambiance of this new condo. Photography by Erika Bierman

The builders genius addition to the front office room, putting doors as the corners of our space to bring in more light and create a truly unique work space for the family or a games room. It visually is connected but has privacy when needed - barn doors close off the space for quiet time.

Exterior forms are emphasized with glass and fiber-cement panels at the top level, soaring over and sheltering containers clad in tougher, leathery Corten Steel at the ground level. Exposed concrete walls and rock-filled gabion retaining was selected to anchor the partially day-lighted basement level and garages to the land. Materials were chosen to be low-maintenance, relatively inexpensive, and to contrast the volumes that express the interior spaces.

As always searching for the lucky find, the original of this ‘30s Navy spotlight was unearthed in an antique store in Greenwich, England. In a way the light is a wonderful combination of old technology, romantic seafaring and practical lighting.
Perched on its imposing rosewood tripod the light dominates, adding character to a room, an important element in today’s design philosophy. Our replica of 30s Navy spotlight is hand-crafted of brass and aluminum. This is signature for those who value master craftsmanship and technical skills. Coast guard patrol spotlight tripod lamp is a great addition to a now much appreciated collection of spotlights and tripod lamps.

Tucked into a corner of the dining room, this butler’s pantry is small but has a lot of style, with its metal grout joints and oversize antiqued tile. We repeated the brass plumbing fixture – it’s from the same collection as the kitchen faucet. The clean, sleek lines are perfect for this small space.

Fu-Tung Cheng, CHENG Design
• Front Exterior, Del Mar House
Airstream trailers and Quonset huts inspired the design for this house docked against a gentle slope near San Diego. Cheng Design pits hard-edged industrial materials — concrete block, galvanized siding, steel columns, stainless steel cable and welded I-beams — against softer residential elements, such as stained-wood siding and a grid of exposed wood framing that supports the roof.
