Oxford natural thin stone veneer from the Quarry Mill adds elegance to the exterior of this beautiful residence. Oxford is a beautiful buff tone dimensional thin stone veneer with a tumbled finish. The warm cream tones, soft golds and occasional darker browns showcase the natural mineral staining. Oxford is a natural limestone and is 100% bedface. The “bed” or natural bed is the flat horizontal surface of stone that becomes exposed as each layer of limestone is unearthed. Oxford has a tumbled finish creating a softer texture with rounded edges. The thin stone veneer will be delivered on pallets containing a mix of the three heights: 2.25”, 5” and 7.75”.

What a transformation with this cute, bungalow in Glen Ellyn! We removed the old aluminum siding and re-sided with a custom color (matching original siding color that was unearthed) LP. Mitered cedar frames each window with a brown stain. For an eclectic twist, we installed multiple colored cedar tongue and groove on the three sides that face the street, which overtime will start to fade and blend more together. Appleton natural thin stone veneer from the Quarry Mill creates a beautiful accent wall on the exterior of this home. Appleton thin stone veneer is cut from natural Wisconsin granite. The raw stone was deposited years ago as glaciers moved through the state. The stone is unearthed as large boulders the size of a suv and is then broken down via our splitting and sawing processes to make the finished thin veneer. Appleton has shades of soft red, off white, greys and blues. The stone is considered a fieldledge style with its mix of linear type stone blended with mosaic irregular pieces. Appleton is a versatile stone and fits well on both large and small projects.

So much fun doing flip houses! This house was built in the early 1900's and was a full home remodel. Walls were taken down to open the floor plan. I re-worked the layout to accommodate a large island and increase the size of the living room. We clad the walls in shiplap and reclaimed wood to give it the old farmhouse feel. So charming

April Bayne To produce this garden makeover, we trimmed trees and shrubs, removed weeds, transplanted existing hostas and added shrubs, perennials and grasses. In the process, we unearthed a small patio and re-defined the path in the back yard.

What we first came to here was an existing bed with many alien invasives fighting it out. The bed was completely dug out and reshaped/edged and prepared for a whole new planting of Native Woodland Plants. As we were digging, many old bricks were unearthed and later used as border to keep the edge clean and grass out of the garden.

Chip selected our Iron Ore Stacked Stone panels for his kitchen bar remodel and changed out the countertop for a granite one. Chip used LED tape lights to finish off the project, which gives the bar an unearthly blue glow when on.

A one-day makeover to edit, rearrange, re-style and balance the spaces, was all that was needed to shift the energy. This spare room, which serves as a hobby nook is great to have - IF you still enjoy the hobby! Happily we discovered that we could now move the office out of the guest bedroom, and the gorgeous table beneath the clutter was moved to the living room once we unearthed it! This hand-made beauty has pricey "imposters" in high end retail stores and it was just forgotten in a corner until I begged to move it to a more prominent position.

The color of the cypress comes from it being buried under water for over 100 years waiting to be unearthed, stained by the minerals found in the Florida rivers. The concrete sink was custom made by Beton Studios in St. Pete.

As Begg and Baxter pruned and cleared the yard, they were delighted to find that underneath the jungle were the bones of a well laid-out garden. They learned that a previous owner had been a landscaper, and that his schist walls and paths were just waiting to be unearthed. They rescued the sunniest part of the garden for an outdoor patio with a retro cone fireplace.

It’s been my experience that it’s not un-common to discover fantastic tiled floors hidden underneath an additional layer of flooring usually carpet or linoleum. This was the case with this property, situated in the town of Canley, Coventry, where the owner had found a Quarry tiled floor underneath Vinyl tiles which had been stuck down using an adhesive. Quarry tiles are typically hard wearing and very durable and a sensible choice for flooring in high traffic areas of both residential and commercial properties, a tiled floor is of course a difficult to remove so it’s not surprising that tiles do get covered over rather than replaced during redecoration. Taste’s change and like most property owners who unearth hidden tiled floors, my client was keen to restore them as an original feature. Despite the amount of adhesive and the poor state of the Quarry tiles, I was confident that the floor could be restored to new, so we agreed a date for me to come back to the property and complete the work. The process of cleaning the Quarry tiled floor – including remove large amounts of adhesive – took a total of two days to complete. I started by carefully removing the Vinyl tiles using a hand scraper which as you can imagine was a lot of manual effort and the adhesive proved quite difficult to remove. In the end I had to use a combination of a very coarse 50 grit pad fitted to a heavy rotary machine lubricated with water, to clear the area completely of the substance. The resulting slurry was rinsed away, and the floor was then given a thorough acid rinse with Tile Doctor Grout Clean-Up. Grout Clean-Up is a cleaner which contains concentrated phosphoric acid, and is designed to dissolve minerals such as salts and cement left on the surface of the tile. This was followed by a final thorough rinse with water, and the excess moisture was soaked up with a wet-vac machine. After the cleaning process was complete, I left the floor to dry off completely for 24 hours. Upon my return to the house the next day, I checked for any dampness that could have damaged the performance of the sealer, thankfully, the floor was dry and ready to seal, and so I proceeded to apply several coats of Tile Doctor Seal & Go Extra. Seal & Go Extra is a fully breathable sealer that provides for effective moisture transmission. It provides durable surface protection against dirt and stains, and is suitable for most kinds of internal, natural stone tiled floors, including Quarry, Victorian and Flagstone. As you can see from the photographs the Quarry tiles came out really well and it’s hard to believe that this is the same floor. Mick Gayton Warwickshire Tile Doctor

Originally tiled in pink and green, and featuring a rusty old bath, broken washing machine and an unspeakable toilet, the small bathroom now gives off a luxurious vibe! A large walk-in shower, with Grohe Rainshower fittings, terrazzo flooring and Tuscan handmade terracotta tiles is the perfect place for refreshing before heading out to dinner. Combination bidet/WC is Ideal Standard 'Small +' and the sink is by Flaminia. Creamy beige counter tops were sourced from the nearby island of Burano, and the floodlit arch is an unearthed window discovered during the renovation! An antique demi-lune table and gold leaf mirror, together with globe lights from Ikea, complete this well thought out small space.
