Inspiration for a transitional u-shaped kitchen remodel in DC Metro with an undermount sink, glass-front cabinets, white cabinets, stone tile backsplash and paneled appliances

These new homeowners fell in love with this home's location and size, but weren't thrilled about it's dated exterior. They approached us with the idea of turning this 1980's contemporary home into a Modern Farmhouse aesthetic, complete with white board and batten siding, a new front porch addition, a new roof deck addition, as well as enlarging the current garage. New windows throughout, new metal roofing, exposed rafter tails and new siding throughout completed the exterior renovation.

Adding function to this Durham outdoor entertaining space is as easy as adding a few stair riser lights for safety and ambient lighting during nighttime gatherings.

Archadeck of Columbus provided a multitude of custom touches to this low-maintenance deck project. The aluminum railings have an adapter, which allowed for the installation of a low-maintenance decking board top rail. The TimberTech stair includes riser lights and picture framing. The entire deck boasts custom low-maintenance fascia trim. Each small detail plays into the overall beauty of the entire space.

The pergola provides an opportunity for shade and privacy. Another feature of the pergola is that the downspout of the house runs through the pergola in order to drain into this integrated pond. The pond is designed with an overflow that empties into an adjacent rain garden when the water level rises.
