This Mequon master on-suite from the 80's was in serious need of a face lift! While it may be a large bathroom, it certainly was not up to date and did not meet the needs of the client. We designed a complete gut and re-build including the removal of a window that only looked over the solarium below! The result is a timeless design that allowed the homeowner to sell his home, after many failed attempts with the old bathroom, and meets the needs of the future buyers!

This family had recently purchased this dated Mid Century Modern for it's location and view. They were hoping to open up and brighten the space to give an updated, fresh, clean contemporary feel. I was able to incorporate tons of storage into the home by moving the laundry room and incorporating a butlers pantry and built in custom buffet area. The kitchen is now light and bright and open. This homeowner loved her home, loved the location, but it needed updating and a more efficient use of the condensed space she had for her master bedroom/bath. She was desirous of a spa-like master suite that not only used all spaces efficiently but was a tranquil escape to enjoy. Her master bathroom was small, dated and inefficient with a corner shower and she used a couple small areas for storage but needed a more formal master closet and designated space for her shoes. Additionally, we were working with severely sloped ceilings in this space, which required us to be creative in utilizing the space for a hallway as well as prized shoe storage while stealing space from the bedroom. She also asked for a laundry room on this floor, which we were able to create using stackable units. Custom closet cabinetry allowed for closed storage and a fun light fixture complete the space. Her new master bathroom allowed for a large shower with fun tile and bench, custom cabinetry with transitional plumbing fixtures, and a sliding barn door for privacy.

A young family moving from NYC to their first house in Westchester County found this spacious colonial in Mt. Kisco New York. With sweeping lawns and total privacy, the home offered the perfect setting for raising their family. A beautiful lake home with an out-dated kitchen gets a make over. Custom inset Shaker cabinetry keeps the classic feel of this home. The custom island features two spice pull outs, an induction cook top, a small prep sink, and plenty of seating. The white granite top plays off of the two-tone kitchen. The perimeter of the kitchen is painted white with an espresso glaze and the green granite top mimics the color of the lake seen out of the large windows. Adams Architecture and Prestige Residential Construction collaborated to realize this dream with timeless touches and advanced home technology. The entire great room, including the wet bar, is fitted with traditional custom cabinets serving a variety of functions including always needed extra storage. With wide French and bi-fold doors open, the space welcomes the outside in with views of the lake and Mount Rainier. Of special construction note: the homeowners wanted to utilize the latest technology in their home without sacrificing design.
