The large bathtub offers plenty of space for comfort, making daily routines simple and enjoyable. Soft, calming colors were intentionally selected to create a peaceful environment that feels clean, bright, and welcoming. To elevate both design and practicality, large-format tiles were installed to minimize grout lines, making maintenance easier while visually expanding the room and helping the space feel larger and more open.

Shweta envisioned transforming the small guest bedroom into a serene escape. Her aim was to create a tranquil and inviting space that offered both comfort and practicality. To visually expand the room, she opted for a DIY board and batten wall treatment in a soothing green paired with off-white accents. For storage, Shweta incorporated a compact dresser, nightstands, and utilized the existing closet. A cozy reading nook, complete with a chair, was nestled by the window to make guests feel at home. Layered patterns, textures, and lighting were incorporated to enhance the room's ambiance, resulting in a peaceful retreat.

Located in a small backyard, the cabana, pool, terrace and landscaping were designed to be one seamless composition. Building upon the seamless design, glass panels located on the south and west elevations glide back into marble clad pockets, allowing individuals to experience the entire backyard with uninterrupted ease. Modern interiors and a white palette were selected to visually expand the spaces while enhancing the natural light. The landscaping is minimalist and structural to compliment the architecture. The outdoor transformation didn’t stop there. The deteriorating decks required a complete rebuild, and the homeowners envisioned a detached art studio tucked into their nature-filled backyard. By embracing the site’s complexities, we crafted a design that connected the elevated outdoor living areas to the pool and studio, creating a cohesive, functional retreat. Every detail was executed with precision. Linear decking and cable rail demanded meticulous planning, while IPE wood was chosen for its natural beauty and durability. Thoughtful design elements—like the IPE wood cap that unifies the pool’s edge and art studio wall and a horizontal privacy fence that visually expands the space—elevate the project beyond a renovation. This is a space built not just for beauty, but for lasting enjoyment.

Created with the homeowner’s long-term lifestyle in mind, this transformation proves that functional spaces can still feel luxurious and refined. The layout was completely reimagined to feature a single-level floor with no shower threshold, ensuring seamless wheelchair accessibility and safe movement throughout the space. Strategically placed grab bars provide added stability without compromising the overall aesthetic. The condo originally had a large den next to the kitchen. and by removing the den we were able to create an open floor concept that visually expanded the space tremendously!

The washbasin is made in the form of a cylindrical marble pedestal, and the planting is a bright corrugated red countertop. A large arched mirror visually expands the space. Martin King Photography -- The Project: To take a dated and dysfunctional bathroom and transform it into a grand and stylish Master Bathroom complete with Tudor elements of design. The Challenge: The original ceiling height was not consistent with the rest of the Master Suite and made the space feel extremely closed in. The layout did not allow for a sense of luxury and spaciousness. The Solution: Raising the ceiling and continuing the exposed beam element from the bedroom area visually expanded the space and connected the room to the rest of the Master Suite. Custom designed and crafted cabinetry increased the beauty of the space along with much needed storage. A new layout created the space needed to give the room both volume and function. The Result: A beautiful Master Bathroom that provides every opportunity to relax and enjoy the pleasures of a sophisticated well thought out bathroom.

The island is a dark charcoal with cool undertones that coordinates with the cabinetry and transom work in both the neighboring mudroom and breakfast area. White subway tile, quartz countertops, white enamel pendants and gold fixtures complete the update. The ends of the island are shiplap material that is also used on the fireplace in the next room. In the new mudroom, we used a fun porcelain tile on the floor to get a pop of pattern, and walnut accents add some warmth. Each child has their own cubby, and there is a spot for shoes below a long bench. Open shelving with spots for baskets provides additional storage for the room. The Entry offers a spectacular first impression and sets the tone with a large skylight and an illuminated curved wall covered in a wavy pattern Porcelanosa tile. The chic entertaining kitchen was designed to celebrate a public lifestyle and plenty of entertaining. Celebrating height with a robust amount of interior architectural details, this dynamic kitchen still gives one that cozy feeling of home sweet home. The large “L” shaped island accommodates 7 for seating. Large pendants over the kitchen table and sink provide additional task lighting and whimsy. The Dekton “puzzle” countertop connection was designed to aid the transition between the two color countertops and is one of the homeowner’s favorite details. The built-in bistro table provides additional seating and flows easily into the Living Room. A curved wall in the Living Room showcases a contemporary linear fireplace and tv which is tucked away in a niche. Placing the fireplace and furniture arrangement at an angle allowed for more natural walkway areas that communicated with the exterior doors and the kitchen working areas. The dining room’s open plan is perfect for small groups and expands easily for larger events. Raising the ceiling created visual interest and bringing the pop of teal from the Kitchen cabinets ties the space together. A built-in buffet provides ample storage and display. The Sitting Room (also called the Piano room for its previous life as such) is adjacent to the Kitchen and allows for easy conversation between chef and guests. It captures the homeowner’s chic sense of style and joie de vivre.
