Since the laundry originates primarily on the second floor and the area above this space was acceptable to a Laundry Shoot, careful placement of the cabinets allows the flow of laundry into a center cabinet on the back wall with a stationary top door. All cabinets on that rear wall were made 28” Deep for the Stackables and to house more laundry. Detergents and Laundry Items are stored on Pull Outs below. The sink cabinet had to be narrower than most drop sink requirements but the clients were able to find the perfect smaller version to enhance the area and provide the ability for the occasional hand washables with a rod above for drip drying. The outdoor dining room leads off the indoor kitchen and dining space. A built in grill area was a must have for the client. The table comfortably seats 8 with circulation space for everyone to move around with ease. A fun, contemporary tile was used around the grill area to add visual texture to the space.

"Cozy coastal beach house, coastal cottage beach house, coastal living,
simple and coastal, beach home, beach style, casual coastal, slipcovered furniture, jute area rug, beach style".

The soaring cathedral ceilings and warm exposed beams were the only features to speak of in this non-descript open landing. Off the hallway near the kids’ rooms, its small size and open layout made it something in between a hallway and a room. While most might consider a TV or office nook for this space, its adjacency to the children’s quarters inspired the designer toward something more imaginative. Inspired by the bright open space, this design achieves a sort of Balinese treehouse aesthetic – and all of it is designed specifically for fun.
Playful hanging beds swing freely on sisal rope, creating a beckoning space that draws in children and adults alike. The mattresses were filled especially with non-toxic, non-petroleum natural fiber fill to make them healthy to sleep and lounge on – and encased in removable, washable organic cotton slipcovers. As the children are young, the floor space (finished in non-toxic lacquer) is kept clear and available for sprawling play. Large storage benches topped with walnut seats keep toys and books well organized, and ready for action at any time.

Our goal with this project was to create a family friendly space that was still a calming master retreat.
Light wood-look tile, laid in a herringbone pattern, allowed durability while not sacrificing style.
Casual, low-maintenance bedding in a neutral palette accented with pops of natural wood, green, and brass create a muted coastal feel.
Patterned runners on either side of the bed were a special request of the family. Small and lush washable rugs are a stylish alternative to a large, and hard to keep clean, area rug.
Practical storage and seating created needed function on a previously blank tv wall.

Our client sought to modernize their classic 1970s home while preserving its original charm. This full-home renovation prioritized openness and functionality. We transformed the kitchen into a bright, welcoming space, leveled the sunken living room to expand the living area, and designed seamless indoor-outdoor connections to showcase breathtaking south-west facing golf course & ocean views. The result? A beautifully updated home that harmonizes mid-century character with contemporary comfort.
The architecture was fun to work with, featuring dramatic roof pitches, a striking two-story double-sided fireplace, and thoughtfully designed room-to-room connections. Strategic wall cutouts and varying floor levels added interest and character, making this home a truly unique and dynamic space.
The kitchen connects to the exterior, dining room, and living room, and features a peninsula and a cozy morning nook for gathering. Thoughtful flow was essential for this busy space, creating distinct yet harmonious spaces to enjoy throughout the home.
Texture was thoughtfully incorporated using natural materials, including quartzite with cloud-like movement, woven light fixtures, and high-variation ceramic tile. The oak flooring, rich with knots and striking grain patterns, adds warmth and character to the space.

In the Kitchen Nook, my vision was a comfortable and casual space for the family to come together. The banquette offers flexibility in seating a whole group, or one person lounging with your feet up and a cup of coffee.
Function is always top of mind with my designs. The back cushion is necessary for a comfortable banquette. By suspending the cushion on leather straps, there is no crevasse where the cushions meet for crumbs to collect. I’ve selected durable family-proof fabrics that are resistant and washable, while still providing loads of pattern, texture and style. You really can have it all!
To soften the black, we’ve incorporated organic elements like natural woods, handmade backsplash tiles, brass and the flowing, organic patterns of the fabrics.
