We call this dining room modern-farmhouse-chic! As the focal point of the room, the fireplace was the perfect space for an accent wall. We white-washed the fireplace’s brick and added a white surround and mantle and finished the wall with white shiplap. We also added the same shiplap as wainscoting to the other walls. A special feature of this room is the coffered ceiling. We recessed the chandelier directly into the beam for a clean, seamless look. This farmhouse style home in West Chester is the epitome of warmth and welcoming. We transformed this house’s original dark interior into a light, bright sanctuary. From installing brand new red oak flooring throughout the first floor to adding horizontal shiplap to the ceiling in the family room, we really enjoyed working with the homeowners on every aspect of each room. We maximized the space in the white and chrome galley kitchen by installing a lot of custom storage. The pops of blue throughout the first floor give these room a modern touch. Has multiple gables, dormers, arched doorway with a curved gate leading to a charming dutch door. This elegant home exudes old-world charm, creating a comfortable and inviting retreat in the western suburbs of Chicago.

This living room is packed with upscale design features - from the red brick fireplace wall to the two-tone light blue and white kitchen. Black and crystal lights hang above the breakfast room table space.

The kitchen was completely gutted and redesigned to give the homeowners a more functional space. To maximize cabinetry and countertop space, the owners decided to remove a small walk-in pantry and closed off an entrance. The old brick and the original sage green chandelier were painted a fresh white to brighten up the space. The cabinets, hood, and island were designed by Michaelson Homes and crafted by Riverside Custom Cabinetry.

A simple facelift to this existing fireplace by painting the brick and adding a raw wood mantle. We kept the accessories simple to showcase the beautiful black and white photography.
