This New England farmhouse style+5,000 square foot new custom home is located at The Pinehills in Plymouth MA. The design of Talcott Pines recalls the simple architecture of the American farmhouse. The massing of the home was designed to appear as though it was built over time. The center section – the “Big House” - is flanked on one side by a three-car garage (“The Barn”) and on the other side by the master suite (”The Tower”). The building masses are clad with a series of complementary sidings. The body of the main house is clad in horizontal cedar clapboards. The garage – following in the barn theme - is clad in vertical cedar board-and-batten siding. The master suite “tower” is composed of whitewashed clapboards with mitered corners, for a more contemporary look. Lastly, the lower level of the home is sheathed in a unique pattern of alternating white cedar shingles, reinforcing the horizontal nature of the building.

Don't be surprised if customers want to come back and chat a few times in a WoodHaven office like this one. The walls are done with our custom 8" knotty pine and stained with a semi-transparent green so you can see all the knots and character of the wood. Check out the 4" inside corner. It's custom accents like this that make a room special.

This rustic cabin is located on the beautiful Lake Martin in Alexander City, Alabama. It was constructed in the 1950's by Roy Latimer. The cabin was one of the first 3 to be built on the lake and offers amazing views overlooking one of the largest lakes in Alabama. The cabin's latest renovation was to the quaint little kitchen. The new tall cabinets with an elegant green play off the colors of the heart pine walls and ceiling. If you could only see the view from this kitchen window!

This is an example of a large transitional brick porch design in New Orleans with a roof extension.

This knotty pine ceiling was lightened with a semi transparent stain. This lightened up the whole room but changed the colors in the whole house. It was an easy fix: we just needed to find a color that had atad of reddish in it to go with the ceiling. The previous wall colors were tan that had a green undertone.
