This kitchen remodel was designed to deliver a clean, modern space that feels warm, functional, and well balanced. Custom light-wood cabinetry paired with sleek white countertops creates a timeless look while maximizing storage and workflow. The oversized island serves as both a prep area and casual seating, making it a natural gathering point. Recessed lighting, integrated appliances, and wide-plank flooring complete the space, resulting in a bright, open kitchen built for everyday living and long-term durability.

With today’s multi-functional workspaces, peninsulas seem better suited to bodies of water than to kitchens. An invention largely of the 1970s, peninsulas are great for smaller, simpler floor plans, but they can trap workflow and create dead-ends, especially when the expansion is needed for counter space and storage.
In this particular case, our client also tired of the dated dark oak at every turn. This goes under the heading of “The 80’s called and they want their cabinets back.” So we returned them—to the dumpster—and redesigned the kitchen completely.

We recently got a call from our homeowners who were ready to completely transform their space. Their existing kitchen felt cramped and dark, and their goal was to open up the footprint and create a brighter, more functional layout that better suited their lifestyle. As a busy working couple, they needed a remodeling team who could manage every aspect of the project — from design and planning to installation and finishing touches. We used our Kitchen Solvers Classic Snow White cabinetry to bring in a fresh, clean aesthetic and paired it with an Ironsbridge quartz countertop for a touch of timeless elegance. To enhance the brightness even further, we integrated LED lighting throughout the. Every detail was carefully planned to improve workflow, maximize storage, and elevate the style of the home. The result? A beautiful, open kitchen that truly reflects their taste and enhances the way they live every day.

This luxury modern kitchen remodel in West Palm Beach, FL was designed to deliver a bold, elegant, and highly functional space.
The project features high-gloss black flat panel cabinets that create a sleek, contemporary look, paired with a stunning waterfall quartz island with dramatic veining that becomes the centerpiece of the kitchen.
We optimized the layout to enhance workflow and storage while integrating modern appliances and clean lines throughout the design. The contrast between dark cabinetry and light quartz surfaces creates a sophisticated and visually striking environment.
The result is a high-end modern kitchen that combines luxury finishes, functionality, and a strong architectural presence, perfect for both everyday living and entertaining.

Custom white kitchen cabinetry designed with decorative glass display doors, full-height stone backsplash, and refined brass hardware accents. This layout balances visual openness with functional storage, allowing display areas to elevate the overall space while maintaining clean, modern lines. Integrated planning ensures efficient workflow, making the kitchen both practical and visually refined for contemporary Burnaby homes and surrounding Lower Mainland projects.

The focus of this kitchen was to open up the workflow, creating a space for the family to work comfortably while also creating a beautiful and inspiring space. Placing a large refrigerator at the edge of the kitchen, adding a beverage refrigerator, using a Galley Workstation and having the island at a slightly lower height makes it highly functional for the whole family. It is rare to achieve a long line of symmetry, but with a feature wall created around the range top we were able to do so. We created an antique armoire feel with the panel ready refrigerator and custom panel design above.
A mixture of hardware was used, the gray stained hickory cabinets were paired with matte black hardware, while the designer white cabinets were paired with brass hardware. A very custom refrigerator cabinet was created that emphasized the armoire feel. A long wall of 9” deep tall cabinets created a very beautiful as well as highly functional pantry space.

Emma Gerancher from Reico Kitchen & Bath in Charlottesville, VA, partnered with Luis Dorta of LED Construction to design a transitional kitchen featuring Masterpiece cabinetry. The kitchen includes the Barton door style in a Cottage finish for the perimeter and a custom Sherwin-Williams Mount Etna painted finish for the island.
The space also features MSI W Calacatta Safyra countertops, along with a Frigidaire canopy hood and microwave.
The client shared, “Gutting our old kitchen to reconfigure the space for better flow, workspace, and storage was a challenge. Emma listened to my needs and offered helpful tips and options, which made the process work. The layout followed the workflow, and my habits and style guided the final details. Reico gave me the options and confidence to trust the process, and the outcome is seamless and beautiful.”
Emma explained, “This kitchen is one of my favorites. The homeowners wanted to replace the peninsula with a custom painted island in Sherwin-Williams Mount Etna, which paired well with the Cottage perimeter cabinets, Calacatta Safyra countertops, sea glass backsplash, and honey bronze hardware. It was a pleasure working with both the homeowners and the contractors throughout the remodel.”

The newly remodeled kitchen creates a better workflow for a family of five. Now updated this kitchen is brighter with the focus on function. To eliminate clutter and create a workstation, the new design expanded the pantry from a single door to a double door walk-in pantry, a command center for schedules and communication, as well as plenty of storage for canned goods and groceries. Now everything can be tucked away behind closed doors, but is still easily accessible and well organized.

Every kitchen remodel is rewarding, but when we saw the skylights go in the new vaulted ceiling on this job it was a STUNNING improvement! So much spaciousness and natural light, we love it. Also featured are the fantastic custom cabinets, and new appliances. A better workflow, an island table for extra workspace and an improved view into the dining area were part of the project as well. The clients tell us that many days, they don't even turn the lights on until evening. LOVE it!

This modern kitchen remodel features clean-lined gray shaker cabinets paired with white quartz countertops for a bright and contemporary finish.
The U-shaped layout maximizes storage and workflow efficiency, making it ideal for compact kitchen spaces. Full-height upper cabinets enhance vertical storage, while brushed nickel hardware complements the stainless steel appliances for a cohesive look.
A window-centered sink brings in natural light, highlighting the soft gray cabinetry and marble-look backsplash. The white quartz countertops provide durability, low maintenance, and a seamless surface for everyday cooking.
Designed using ready-to-assemble (RTA) kitchen cabinets, this project demonstrates how high-quality cabinetry can deliver both affordability and modern style without compromising performance.

Megan Alderson from Reico Kitchen and Bath in Salem, VA, designed a modern kitchen and powder room featuring Ultracraft cabinetry.
The kitchen includes Ultracraft cabinets in the Adriatic door style with a Shark finish, paired with Cambria Portrush quartz countertops and a full-height backsplash. The powder room features the same door style in an Edgewater High Gloss finish.
Megan shared, “We reworked the layout to improve workflow by removing an island, relocating the range, and moving the refrigerator. The selections were beautiful and perfect for a lake house!
They wanted a focal point on the back of the peninsula, so we used molding to create an architectural detail. Ultracraft didn’t offer this type of panel, so we got creative to achieve a reeded panel look. The clients had a clear vision, and we worked together to bring it to life. It was a labor-intensive process, but the result was worth it!”

This custom kitchen remodel in Vienna, VA was designed to feel timeless, functional, and welcoming. The homeowners wanted a space that balanced clean lines with natural materials, while improving lighting, workflow, and overall comfort.
A key design decision was using Taj Mahal quartzite for both the countertops and the full-height backsplash. Carrying the same stone throughout the kitchen creates a seamless look and allows the soft veining and warm tones of the natural stone to become the focal point of the space.
The cabinetry was selected to complement the stone without overpowering it, offering ample storage and a classic profile that will age well over time. Updated lighting, including under-cabinet and recessed ceiling fixtures, enhances both task functionality and ambiance, while behind-the-scenes upgrades to electrical, ventilation, and HVAC ensure the kitchen performs as beautifully as it looks.
The result is a refined yet livable kitchen designed for everyday use and long-term enjoyment.

Completed in partnership with Elkins Interiors, this Fall 2025 renovation transformed the main floor of a South Park home with a beautifully redesigned kitchen, dining area, and custom bar space. The goal was to create a more functional, inviting, and cohesive environment for everyday living and entertaining.
The kitchen was completely reimagined with improved workflow, custom cabinetry, premium finishes, and thoughtful design details that blend style and practicality. Adjacent dining spaces were updated to encourage gathering and connection, while the custom bar area provides the perfect setting for hosting family and friends.
By carefully integrating each space, the renovation created a seamless flow throughout the main floor, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality. The result is a sophisticated and welcoming home that reflects the homeowners' lifestyle while offering timeless appeal and exceptional craftsmanship.

Millennials—the 77 million-strong generation born between 1981 and 1997--this past year surpassed the Baby Boom as the United States’ largest population cohort. This burgeoning generation currently represents one of every three homebuyers and we expect that this new and emerging demographic will reshape economic, business, and geographic marketplaces for decades to come.

The Responsive Home project, a collaboration between TRI Pointe Group’s Pardee Homes and Hanley Wood’s BUILDER magazine, is a discovery lab for research, design and building practices to understand and activate the Millennial home buyer, now and over the next several years as they become of home-buying age.
As a result of this collaboration, two concept homes, located within the Inspirada master-planned community in Henderson, Nevada were unveiled at the IBS show in Las Vegas in January 2016. These innovative homes are fun, quirky, and positively ooze personality, thanks in no small part to architects Bassenian Lagoni, landscape architects Anderson Baron and celebrity creative director Bobby Berk, who infused the designs with youthful energy.
By design, the Responsive Home answers present and longer-term ownership living needs, providing a new home that young buyers can attain, personalize, adapt to their needs, and live in a connected, accessible way. Available in two floor plans, the Contemporary Farmhouse and the Contemporary Transitional blend livability with modern function catering to the most important request according to younger buyers – more space, specifically outdoors.
Both home choices offer evolution-over-time floor plans with powerful indoor-outdoor workflow, technology-enabled automation, energy performance and bold design finishes. Homeowners can personalize their space in multiple ways including options for additional bedrooms, office or fitness room, casita and studio living spaces inclusive of separate home entrances, among others.
