A welcoming kitchen design perfect for family-friendly interiors! The goal was to bring modern freshness to their traditional interior design with a more functional layout and design. We opened up the kitchen floor plan to allow in an abundance of natural light and make the space more welcoming. Soft yellows on all the walls really hone in on a homey feel - which is exactly what this Chicago family was yearning for! Traditional aspects still act as the guiding influence in the design, showcasing classic shaker cabinets, vertical wood panel accents, and traditional styled bar stools. To add a more updated feel, we added built-in appliances, glass pendants, all-white subway tile backsplash, and a floor-to-ceiling wine rack. This master bathroom was long overdue for a makeover. The family of 4 (plus 2 dogs) needed something practical and not going to break the bank in case they sold their home in a couple of years. The changes we made only added value to this once dark space. Because both parents work, they are very busy in their day to day life and wanted a bathroom that would accommodate their lifestyle. The gray granite is both practical and beautiful. The porcelain tile both on the floor and shower walls is easily maintainable and a soothing light cream and gray. The tint of green on the walls, LED backlit frameless mirror, and framed ocean print give this bathroom the luxurious spa feel our clients yearned to escape to from their busy lives. This is not your traditional bungalow! While it shares some of the hallmarks of this historic home style, this bungalow brings the classic single-story design into the twenty-first century. The black-and-white facade shows a simple, but incredibly well thought out design consisting of mostly straight lines and glass. Modern architecture is all about simple designs where less is more. Clean and uncluttered home exterior trends have gained popularity over the years, as many homeowners are yearning to live peacefully without excess. Clean lines, basic forms, single-use of colour, repetition of structures and strategic use of metal, stone, stucco and glass materials are defining characteristics of this custom home in the upper-scale, inner-city community of North Glenmore Park in Calgary, Alberta.

This stylish family of four came to us yearning for added functionality with flair. The couple recently updated other areas of the home on their own quite beautifully, but realized they needed the help of professionals when it came to the kitchen and mudroom. The new kitchen plan enlarged the island with additional seating, eliminated soffits for extra storage and an updated look, and swapped out the desk for a message center with a hidden charging/drop area. A cozy banquette was designed for the eat-in area of the kitchen. Drawers below the bench add storage to this gathering spot. Aesthetic elements with a soft industrial feel to compliment the new interiors were desired. Beautiful island detailing with tall brackets, panels and base molding in a lovely grey paint in contrast to the white perimeter create a focal point for the space. The homeowner sourced a fun light fixture to top off the island. This along with a stainless chimney hood and appliances add to the overall industrial appeal. Grey cabinetry in the mudroom flows with the kitchen while adding cubbies and a bench with lockers above. A cabinetry surround for the washer and dryer integrates the built-ins in a space that works hard while looking pretty.

We took a long time to decide on our final design but Kerry and his design team were patient and respectful and waited until we were ready to move forward. There was never a sense of being pushed into anything we didn’t like. They listened, carefully considered our requests and delivered an awesome plan for our new bathroom. Kerry also broke down everything so that we could consider several alternatives for features and finishes and was mindful to stay within our budget. He accommodated some on-the-fly changes, after construction was underway and suggested effective solutions for any unforeseen problems that arose. Having construction done in close proximity to our master bedroom was a challenge but the excellent crew TaylorPro had on our job made it relatively painless: courteous and polite, arrived on time daily, worked hard, pretty much nonstop and cleaned up every day before leaving. If there were any delays, Kerry made sure to communicate with us quickly and was always available to talk when we had concerns or questions." This Carlsbad couple yearned for a generous master bath that included a big soaking tub, double vanity, water closet, large walk-in shower, and walk in closet. Unfortunately, their current master bathroom was only 6'x12'. Our design team went to work and came up with a solution to push the back wall into an unused 2nd floor vaulted space in the garage, and further expand the new master bath footprint into two existing closet areas. These inventive expansions made it possible for their luxurious master bath dreams to come true. We loved this project! The transformation was incredible. Our client came to us asking for a master bedroom that created a space for them to retreat to at the end of a very busy day. They moved into this beautiful estate overlooking a Connecticut vineyard that yearned for a design to compliment the architecture of the home, yet personalize the transitional taste of this young couple. We wanted to bring them elements that included clean lines with some updated tradition. Gray has been the new neutral in design lately but to set it aside from the typical use of this hue, a favorite by many today, we added a touch of gold for warmth and elegance. The client's desire for a place to read and relax allowed for a seating area where they can transition to a doorway that leads them out to a beautiful stone veranda.
