Location: Nantucket, MA, USA This classic Nantucket home had not been renovated in several decades and was in serious need of an update. The vision for this summer home was to be a beautiful, light and peaceful family retreat with the ability to entertain guests and extended family. The focal point of the kitchen is the La Canche Chagny Range in Faience with custom hood to match. We love how the tile backsplash on the Prep Sink wall pulls it all together and picks up on the spectacular colors in the White Princess Quartzite countertops. In a nod to traditional Nantucket Craftsmanship, we used Shiplap Panelling on many of the walls including in the Kitchen and Powder Room. We hope you enjoy the quiet and tranquil mood of these images as much as we loved creating this space. Keep your eye out for additional images as we finish up Phase II of this amazing project! Inspiration for a french country living room remodel in Minneapolis

The powder bath doubles as a lake bath for guests coming from swimming. The custom vanity has opebn shelving for towels and bowl vessel sink with Signature Hardware faucet. The sconces are Visual Comfort. The shower has navy blue subway tile with white grout and the ceiling has an amazing blue wallpaper. All the walls are shiplap in Benjamin Moore White Dove. Bathroom - 1950s bathroom idea in Portland

The aesthetics of the kitchen were critical because it is centrally located in the great room of which it is a part. The challenge was to integrate the kitchen into the larger space while making sure it didn't dominate it. We accomplished this by using a restrained color palette of cream, gold, gray-green and gray-blue with touches of deeper chocolate brown. The same colors repeat in the quartzite counters, arabesque stone mosaic back splash and stacked slate accent wall (also used in the fireplace in the living area). The uppermost cabinets feature glass doors and lighting to showcase a collection of crystal inherited from the client's grandmother. This feature is beautiful but also makes good use of cabinets too tall to reach conveniently. The glass doors add sparkle and the cabinet height enhances vertical lines of the space and draws the eye toward the vaulted ceiling. Photo by Lane Barden

Beautiful white Medallion cabinetry brightens up this kitchen remodel. The book case at the end of the peninsula provides cook book storage and the raised bar allows room for gathering while hiding the cook top and working surfaces from the dining area.
