I'm a general contractor who has worked with Kristen on numerous occasions. She designs for the clients, not just what she wants. Her ability to identify the clients style and needs is a true gift. I've seen too many designers do what "they" want to do, not what the client wants. Her designs are current, yet timeless and unique. A constant professional that does what she says she will do and always follows through. I've witnessed her creativity and design skills first hand and I'm always excited to help being them to life. Whether it's a huge project she's designed or a smaller one, all have the same level of well thought out plans with stunning results. She is one of the Greats!

We had a very dated 1980's kitchen in our 1923 California bungalow. As you can see from the pictures attached, Kristin gave us our dream kitchen which honored the era of our home...something we've waited over 20 years to make happen! Both Kristin and Ivan at Anne Rae Design were so aware of our design ideas and just amazing to work with. Kristin lead us to period specific tile, colors, lighting and suggested a lovely bench seat and arches that made our breakfast room and prep kitchen rooms of their own. I cannot say enough glowing words of how beautiful everything has turned out and how much we love our kitchen!

Kristin was instrumental in our home remodel, we couldn't have made all the necessary decisions without her. We are so pleased with the outcome. She was always available when questions arose and was helpful in keeping us within our budget.

We hired Anne Rae Design to design our living room and entertainment room. The agency was easy to work with, highly responsive and really listened to what we wanted. Kristin, the principal designer, is extremely talented and worked within our budget and timeline while giving us a design that fit our taste and lifestyle. Some of the pieces she selected for us are unique and special and we would never have found them on our own. We would highly recommend Anne Rae Design and plan to use them again in the future.

Anne Rae Design was recommended to me and after the first consultation I knew I had found the company that I wanted to deal with. They were very upfront, personalized and conscientious about the things and ideas that mattered to me such as style, my input and costs. The contractors that were used were top notch, and were on time and within budget. I only wished that I had the funds to actually complete my whole house with Anne Rae Design. Kristin, of Anne Rae Design, is insightful, creative, and innovative. She took our idea and went with it! We were beyond thrilled with the results. Our idea was to incorporate river rock into our master bathroom, Kristin, found it and the design continues to impress us daily. Our master bathroom is a calming, relaxing, oasis (as it should be!). Working with Kristin is easy and fun. She is a pleasure. Her team and resources get the job done with efficiency and ease. Everyone was a pleasure to work with and the finishing product is top notch. Kristin was a personal referral from friends of ours-I choose to do business only with people who are personally referred to us. Kristin has spent a lot of time with us both thru emails and personal attention at our home, her office, and by meeting us at other locations to help on fabric/furniture/fixture choices. We interviewed with two large named all in one companies in the San Diego region and I strongly believe that the personal attention we have received from Kristin would not have been on par with those companies. I highly recommend her if you are looking for design (both structural and/or decorative) help/advice/opinions.

I was lucky enough to have been introduced to Kristen, through a friend who I will be ever so grateful. Kristen helped me with the Desighn of our beautiful beach house. She did our lighting plan, light fixtures, tile choice, siltstone choices, paint, kitchen and bath Desighn. Basically everything. Kristin was amazing to work with. She helped us with the selection of cabinet pulls, granite and quartz counter tops, tile back splash and wood and tile flooring for both our kitchen and 3 bathrooms. She also helped with the selection of material and the styling of our window coverings. She truly listened to our ideas and the styles we liked and helped make the end results better than we expected. She was always available when we had questions and she worked well with our contractor. I highly recommend Anne Rae Design.

Kristin Kostamo-McNeil was our designer in 2013. My wife and I decided to remodel our home in San Diego and after interviewing several contractors and designers we decided to hire Kristin. The remodel turned out to be a whole house remodel including adding 2 bathrooms, gutting and remodeling the kitchen, gutting and remodeling out master bath and creating a new entertainment area. She was truly exceptional in every area. She designed every aspect of our remodel including the lighting plans, all the cabinets, the kitchen layout and all bath. She was even able to save us a considerable amount of money by introducing us to her tile guy who did an amazing job. This project was very large in scale and Kristin was extremely professional and her input and design ideas were incredible. I would not hesitate to use her services again and have already referred her to my friends who have had similar experiences.

My husband and I have been working with Kristin since 2010. We started with new carpet update for our 10 year old home. She then helped us update paint colors, choose some new furniture and designed and installed new window coverings. We loved working with her and decided to hire her back in 2012 to work with our contractors and design an outdoor room addition. The room turned out beautiful! She is currently helping us with all aspects of a new home we are building out of state. She has drawn interior elevations, designed fireplaces, designed and drawn all the bathroom, kitchen, bar, outdoor barbeque tile and granite. She is helping us select all of our lighting, furniture, window coverings, area rugs for our new 7,500 square foot home! My husband and I love working with her!
