Basis Design Build

My wife and I were living in the US, we bought a house in Toronto that we wanted to renovate before moving back to Toronto. We asked around with friends in Toronto and 2 of them recommended John at Basis Design Build. We liked the idea of having someone who not only could handle the design aspect of the project but also handle all the day to day issues that would come up and had access to a team of professionals. I was initially worried that by not being in the country we would have problems getting the reno done the way we wanted it but John was outstanding. He is a very knowledgeable architect, has a very reassuring manner, listens well, offers suggestions that always seemed to be in line with what our vision was. He kept a tight hand on costs, got all the permits needed, and his team were very professional. He has since helped us redesign our cottage, helped my brother in law completely gut/renovate a beautiful old house he purchased, and provided us with help whenever we have a minor crisis at our house.
