Brent's workmanship was exceptional, as was his management of the site and numerous sub-contractors. Brent and his crew transformed a 'builder's basic' townhouse into a lovely, high end executive residence. He was a pleasure to work with and responded to all questions quickly. I would recommend him for any project without hesitation.

Brent and his team of employees and subcontractors really impressed us. We underwent a kitchen reno this past summer and felt like the work was being done by people who were working on their own home. The attention to detail, friendliness, and professionalism of everyone who entered our house minimized our stress level and kept us excited through the whole process. We felt like we'd tapped into a secret team of reno superheroes (corny, but true). We'd very happily work again with Brent and can confidently recommend his company to anybody looking to embark on a reno.

BHC and Brent Henderson are the best of the best. They leave their egos at the door, are focused on problem-solving, and put their clients first. I wish my words could describe the positive feelings we have for a company that brings imagination, and execution to the project. A left-brain, right-brain that fires from a giant heart. We have nothing but good things to say about BHC Solutions, Brent and his entire team. Brent oversaw the full gut reno of our kitchen this past summer, which also necessitated some changes to the exterior of our house. We have worked with contractors on renovations in the past. Based on our experience with Brent, BHC is the only contractor we would use again in the future. We believe we could possibly have found a cheaper contractor, but our experience is that you get what you pay for and we also believe that we could have paid a lot more, and still not received nearly the same level of quality service and workmanship. Renovations are stressful, and Brent spent a lot of time answering our questions up front (and throughout the process) to make the experience as painless as possible (and we had a lot of questions). What also made the experience great was how much fun Brent and his entire team was to work with. As much as were glad to have a completed kitchen and have life return to normal, we genuinely had so much fun working with Brent and his team that we felt a bit sad when it was over (and promptly hired them for a new project). Brent’s budget was very thorough and detailed, so at the end of the day the only real overages were on items that we had decided to upgrade part way through the process. It is a huge relief (and not necessarily the norm) to know that the budget you were told is what you are actually going to end up paying. The project did run past its original completion date, but that was because of a materials issue on the countertop we had sourced, not because of Brent or his team, and it was in part through Brent’s intervention that the situation was ultimately resolved. Brent was very good at answering questions that were of a more technical nature in a way that we could actually understand. And if he wasn't available, Alex, his second in command, was. Brent pays quite a bit of attention to all his projects and was frequently on site. We both work from home and it was rare for a day to go by without us seeing either Brent, Alex, or the site manager, Dave. Brent made a point of personally being there for major milestones (for example, to check how well the site was prepared/protected before allowing demo to begin). He is extremely exacting, so his presence was always comforting. If you are not prepared for something to go wrong with your reno, don’t do one. Something unexpected will always happen when you undertake a major reno. What makes the difference is having a contractor who does not hesitate to address issues, and who doesn’t make you feel like you are being demanding or fussy. We talked a lot over the course of the project and it was clear to us that he takes the same meticulous approach to all of his projects that he did with ours. Brent was also very thoughtful, and cared about the impact the reno was having on our day-to-day life—when it became clear the countertop was going to cause a significant delay (but our cabinets were already installed) Brent made sure a temporary plywood counter was installed and had his plumber come in to hook up a temporary faucet and sink for us on the Friday afternoon (before a long weekend, no less!) so that we wouldn't have to keep taking dishes upstairs to wash them in the tub. Now that it is finished we are thrilled with the final product. It’s our favourite room in the house. This was our third kitchen reno and sixth significant construction-y kind of project and Brent is the only contractor we've worked with that we would use again—and recommend without hesitation. It would seem foolish to even consider anyone else at this point.

We hired BHC to do our full gut masterbath reno after we saw the breathtakingly beautiful work BHC did for friends who gutted and reno'd their entire condo. Brent and his team bring a total dedication to detail, quality and excellence. From the earliest stages of planning and estimating through to full completion (right on time), we never had to worry about anything. Brent and Dave and Alex were always either on site or directly in contact to manage every step and advise us anytime a consult was required. Brent uses top drawer suppliers and we received the best possible treatment and assistance from every one of them as we chose our materials. BHC even helped ensure all materials were delivered and on site exactly when they were needed for the project. Before the work started I worried that a full gut reno would be arduous and stressful, but thanks to BHC it was not--progress was swift and smooth. Every single tradesperson was a total pro and a pleasure to deal with. We will absolutely be using BHC for future renos and are happy to recommend them with a 5 star review!

We have undertaken 3 complete renovations and 1 new build in the last 20 years...all as our principal residences. BHC is in a class by itself. The quality, timeliness, cost effectiveness and client consideration were of the highest standard. Best we can say....we are looking for our next project so we can engage BHC again.

Brent was attentive to our needs and budget throughout our project. He was extremely easy to deal with, and had a good network of contacts for different trades. His project at our house was fairly extensive - from structural work, to electrical, plumbing to flooring. A full service provider.

Our experience with BHC was first rate. We were against a very tight deadline between the time we took possession of our condo and our move date to customize our new living space. Brent was able to muster the appropriate resources to bring the project in on time/budget; this required the ability to contract/coordinate diverse trades and accommodate multiple third party suppliers. His trades and customized work were high quality. Throughout he was visible on site, accessible at all hours/short notice and diligent in following up. He quickly understood what we were endeavouring to create - all of his "on site" real time decisions supported our objectives. We would strongly recommend BHC.

We bought a 33-year old 1300 square foot condo in mint original condition. After working with several designers, we arrived at a design that captured our vision and fit our budget, which was large but not decadent. With drawings in hand, Brent Henderson Contracting completely gutted the entire condo back to its concrete exterior walls, floors and ceiling. This meant removing all interior walls, studs, closets, flooring, wires, pipes, doors, cabinetry, fixtures, ductwork and HVAC systems. With board approval, we even replaced the balcony sliding doors. It was a massive job with challenging logistics juggling a condo board, condo management, condo neighbours, picky clients, and a downtown job site. We did this project for ourselves; it was not a flip. Working with Brent and his team has been a fantastic and enjoyable experience! Not only is their workmanship professional, careful, and on-time, but everyone on his team is personable, thoughtful, well spoken, tidy and invested in getting the job done beautifully and to high standards of finishing. We know people who have spent seven figures for brand-new condo units, only to find disappointing finishing and shockingly poor workmanship given the price and prestige of their condo locations and branding. If you've found your dream home, but find the place needs some TLC, do yourself a favour and hire Brent. It will be the best experience you'll ever have working with a contractor!
