We first engaged them to update the first floor of our home and redesign our kitchen, and the overall experience was remarkable! Sharon, Lisa, Linda, and the work crew were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. They listened carefully to what was important to us, helped us see possibilities we hadn't considered, and guided us through the design process with creativity, patience, and professionalism. One of the many things that impressed us was how well Calming Spaces worked with our schedule. We were planning to be out of the country for six weeks during the renovation, and they took on the challenge of coordinating the project so that the work would be completed before we returned. Somehow, they made it happen. We stepped off the plane and into a transformed living space that exceeded our expectations; a beautifully redesigned kitchen and first floor that felt both completely new and perfectly suited to our home. The kitchen is not only beautiful and modern, but also thoughtfully designed for the way we live. Features like pull-out spice racks and an appliance garage make it incredibly functional, while the overall design reflects our values, feels warm and inviting, and is filled with natural light. More than two years later, visitors to our home still regularly offer unsolicited compliments on our kitchen. Sharon and the team at Calming Spaces are truly exceptional. This was my first remodeling project, and I couldn't be happier with the experience or the results. Communication was excellent from start to finish. There were no surprises with the timeline, and Sharon and Lisa kept me informed every step of the way with regular updates. Every morning I enjoy getting ready in a bathroom that's more beautiful than I ever imagined, and every evening I appreciate ending my day in a peaceful, luxurious space. I cannot say enough nice things about the end to end process and this team! We get stressed out making selections and Sharon, Linda and Lisa made it so easy for us. The recommendations that the team provided for our first floor remodel really made our vision come to life. Last but not least, the QUALITY of the work is outstanding. I intentionally waited to send my review. It has been 6 months since the work was complete and everything (cabinets, floors, doors, lights, molding and paint) all look the same as they did when project was complete.

I recently had my master bathroom and bedroom completely remodeled in addition to other small things and it turned out great! This was the second time I chose Calmly Spaces because in my first experience 8 years ago they did such an amazing job! I have come home everyday and felt relaxed and calm after work. The owner, Sharon, is extremely helpful. And has taken care of me after the job was completed. They are amazing designers, but they have also been there after the project was done and taken care of it with no additional charge. I chose to use this company twice because they are great at what they do.

Sharon and her team at Calming Spaces were amazing to work with. Her designers helped guide decisions and help make choices throughout the process, esp. during the beginning phase. And, her crew that worked in our home were very polite, honest, trustworthy and easy to work with! They were also very fast (about a month for a kitchen remodel and breakfast area touch up) and very responsive w/ communication. Our kitchen is very beautiful and we love it!!

Calming Spaces has done remodeling and design work in my last 4 houses. Always very thorough, neat, and excellent craftsmanship. Sharon has an eye for color and design. In my current home they built a gorgeous tiled wall to incorporate my fireplace, with a bench/seating area of about 15'. Everyone has commented how striking it is. They removed the closet in the front bedroom to create a huge office with a bathroom, where I spend much of my time. They have also replaced designer sinks as well as double ovens and other appliances. Going with Calming Spaces will not disappoint you!

Oh my gosh!! I think I discovered the absolute best decorating team out there! Y'all did a wonderful job and to be honest...I am sad that is is over. We've worked with Calming Spaces on multiple projects and have always been amazed at their creativity and professionalism. Most of their work involved remodelling or landscaping. This project was unique, since we had been using part of our garage as a home gym and decided to go all the way in turning the former garage into an awesome home gym and building a new 26'x26' garage that would be accessed through mirrored sliding-glass doors from the new gym. We had to involve another contractor to build the add-on garage, since it involved structural engineering and special permits. Sharon's team did all the interior work on the new garage and completely transformed the old garage into an awesome, climate-controlled space with wall-to-wall mirrors that make the gym look fantastic while allowing us to see the big TV from any direction while working out. Involving multiple contractors was challenging, and it was great to have Sharon's trusted team on hand to help fill in the inevitable gaps in the work agreement with the other contractor. We highly recommend Calming Spaces for anyone who wants to make their home look fantastic while being a space that meets your lifestyle.

I absolutely love my new kitchen and living space. Sharon and her crew did a wonderful job remodeling my home. My kitchen looks better than I could have even imagined. My corner fireplace was always a sore spot with me and I thought the only way to improve it was to have it removed altogether but, Sharon managed to make it so beautiful that now it's the focal point of the room. Sharon has her own crew that does all the work. No subcontracting out to others (which was a huge plus for me). They were prompt, professional, friendly and possessed every skill needed to complete the job. At the end of each day they left my home clean and tidy. Sharon was hands on the entire time and came by frequently to inspect the work and talk with me. She gave me a time estimate for completion and they completed it on time even though I added a few additional tasks to the original plan. I am so grateful to Sharon, Lisa, Linda and the crew for making my home simply beautiful and for making this whole process an enjoyable experience.

Calming spaces has helped us remodel our Flintrock Falls home when we moved in 4 years ago. The 18 year home was beginning to look outdated so we needed help to give it a fresher and more modern look. Sharon and Lisa listened to our requests and worked within our budget. The last projects they did were a Master Bath remodel. The redesign of the shower,tub and vanity tops were spectacular. Finally with most of our home remodels we decided to update our old tile floors. She was able to install the new wood looking luxury vinyl without removing the old tile floor. It really finished off our home and now looks like the new model homes. After finished with the inside, we received notice that we were under a restriction for one day a week watering. Amazingly the staff was able to change our yard by adding drought tolerant plants and stones in order that our current plants would not die and we would not get a fine. Calming spaces does amazing work on time with a professional staff. I have worked with many design companies in the past and Calming Spaces is definitely the best

I have used Calming Spaces twice now within the same year for two separate projects, and both far exceeded my expectations. First off, the design team was incredible and came with such great and innovative ideas for small spaces that I never would have thought of for myself (turning an empty storage space into a bar!) The crew was equally as amazing, as they were efficient and incredibly quick. My entire kitchen and bar was done within 5 weeks, which was much faster than I even expected! They also cleaned after each day and moved everything so I was able to live in my house the entire time and didn't need to get a hotel. The design team was incredibly hands-on, and checked in with my via text and in person to send suggestions, check on progress etc. All in all, this team was fantastic and I now have the kitchen and bar of my dreams. If I ever do another remodeling project this is the ONLY team I'd call to work with!

Incredible work from the team, and the crew was here at 8 am every day and worked until 6. My whole project was done in 3 weeks and looks absolutely amazing!!!

We had a fantastic experience renovating our whole house with Calming Spaces. They guided us through the process and it really took away the stress that can come from renovation. Sharon helped us with selections and was very patient listening to our needs and concerns. The entire crew is amazing - great quality of work and very organized. Having Calming Spaces work on the design through implementation made for a seamless (and stress-free) experience. One thing I really appreciated, is that they always show up when they say they will and they always do what they say they will do - this might sound trivial, but I often hear horror stories of contractors that do not have that kind of professionalism and I do not have time and mental energy to deal with flakes. It’s been a few months since we moved in and we are really enjoying our home. There has been a few things we reached back out to Calming spaces for over the months and they always followed up. I highly recommend Calming Spaces!

The absolute worst experience I've ever had working on a home improvement project. Very disappointing. Absolutely would not recommend.

This team is beyond phenomenal! I met them in August and they had my 4k sq foot house entirely designed from rugs, to art, paint, to furniture by Thanksgiving (4 bedrooms& office) ! I should say, we had just moved from Costa Rica and had ZERO items. They did EVERYTHING, all I had to do was click what I liked and what I didn't. They made our move STRESS FREE. They feel like family to me ! These women were the first people I had met moving to Austin. One day my 10 year old had a bad day and Jen one of the workers brought over her teenage daughter to cheer her up! This team of women are so personable and so easy communicate with. I could go on about how amazing they are! If you are considering a team, look no further! I would be happy as well to let any prospective clients see my home! We went from nothing to a house that goes WOW when anyone walks inn! It looks like a model home. Wonderful people and exceptional company!

Sharon and her wonderful crew were awesome. We started out just doing a kitchen remodel, but it turned into getting all new flooring and paint throughout our entire living area. We also added a new wine bar to our dining room. Sharon helped with all the selections, she even pushed us a little out of our comfort zone, with our countertop and backsplash, and we are so glad she did, my wife and I love it! I am a lifelong surfer, and she was able to bring elements of the ocean, using colors & textures that remind me of the sand and water, right in my own home. We love how everything turned out. Sharon was able to accommodate all the new add-ons, and we are so happy we did them. We actually had someone who came to the house the other day to work on our internet and he made a comment that our home was so cozy, and it made him just want to sit down an relax. We took that as a very high complement coming from a complete stranger. Sharon and her company totally lived up to their name. They created a beautiful, calm, relaxing place that fits our style, we could never have achieved this result on our own. We highly recommend them!

Sharon and her team more than exceeded our expectations on updating kitchen—time, cleanup, communication, and quality of product. The quality of workmanship is 9.5 out of 10 stars. The project was finished on time and the communication with Sharon and the crew made the process seem seamless, we knew exactly what to expect. The project was done while we were away, so the crew completed a kitchen remodel in 3 weeks’ time! This was our second project with Sharon and her talented crew! We will be using them for our next project in December to remodel our master bath while we are gone. We highly recommend them for interior design and remodeling. The Greens

We had waited approximately one year before we could get an appointment with Sharon since she was so busy but in the end we felt it was well worth it. We remodeled our kitchen and entertainment room and wanted to go bold on the colors, so we picked blue and white because it is such a classic color. Sharon was so creative and helped to fulfill our dream project with perfection. The crew also (Saul and team) is amazing, they are very meticulous in prepping the areas before they started any work to ensure the cleanliness and they were timely, accountable and had a keen eye to ensure things were done properly. One of the best things working with her is that you have one contact to take care of everything - that includes design, electrical, plumbing, masonry or anything you name it. It's like a one stop shop , everything is timely and everyone was professional.

I had high hopes after hiring Sharon, and paying $2,500, to provide me with a design, project scope, and materials list for a 2-bath & kitchen remodel. I told her I had a $106K budget for all three rooms. It's been almost a full year and I have received A couple of CAD concept renderings and she has stopped responding to my requests for any updates and I'm out $2,500. Good luck, but I can't recommend her at this point.

Highest marks for quality service, reliability, and competence to Sharon and her team! Most recently I used Calming Spaces to stage my home for sale. The results were dazzling and the house sold in only a day with multiple offers and substantially over asking price, to an extent that even surprised my real estate agent! Sharon and her team knew exactly where to embellish the existing decor and features to make the house shine to it's greatest advantage. I've used Sharon and her team several times over the years for various projects (kitchen remodel, bath remodel, general decor) and the result never disappoints!

Sharon Miller and the Calming Spaces crew did a great job of transforming a very bland fireplace into a lovely centerpiece of the living room by extending the brickwork up to the ceiling, painting it and adding a handmade block wood mantle. Additionally, they painted the room and created a combo credenza-curio cabinet at a greatly reduced price than a typical furniture store. Sharon opened up the room by moving furniture around and adding a new area rug. The result is a warm and inviting seating area using traditional as well as antique furnishings.

We just moved to Lakeway and found Calming Spaces on Houzz. Sharon Miller helped us furnish and decorate our new home quickly and within budget. We were amazed at her access to furniture that was from many sources that we would not be able to find on our own. She knew where to go to find gorgeous items that fit our home perfectly. Not only did she find the perfect furniture for us, she also found art for walls, lamps, plants, etc that created a beautiful finished look. She worked very hard to finish the job on time and furnished and decorated our whole home in two short weeks before our family came to visit. I have worked with many designers before while living in California and Sharon and Lisa of Calming Spaces are the best I have worked with. They are great at assessing your needs and working within your personal budget. They is very professional and they met and exceeded our expectations. Without the help of Sharon and Lisa our move to Lakeway would not have been as pleasurable. We now have a beautiful comfortable home and can welcome family and friends.

She used existing space in our house to add a laundry room and upgrade our guest bathroom. She used materials and colors to create a calming space in both rooms. The laundry room came out great. We are grateful to Saul and the rest of her crew on our new space.

Sharon and her team were just what we needed for our remodel! We knew we wanted an updated look but didn’t have much in the way of specifics. Sharon managed to peer into our psyches (after some pins and likes on design sites) and suggest just the perfect tile, wood floor, cabinetry, lighting, etc. She always presented 2-3 options, and helped us visualize the finished look. All 3 bathrooms were completely remodeled, and each has its own look. All the rooms flow. Her team is professional and VERY good- artsy even. Details are not overlooked. Not low budget but she provides regular cost reports/projections. We’re delighted with the finished product!

The initial contractor we had was behind on schedule and made several errors. Sharon brought sample tile, flooring, fixtures, etc for us to choose from. Calming Spaces came in and not only made the repairs, but totally gutted two bathrooms, tiled the shower, installed new vanity, floors, lighting, paint, and plumbing fixtures. All in a week!!!! Work was superb, everything was done to perfection and neat. We had them redo the outdoor kitchen and Sharon came up with some very creative ideas that are wonderful. Could not be more pleased. Would not consider anyone but Calming Spaces for remodeling or decorating in the future!!

I didn't know where or how to start with my home's interior makeover but I knew I wanted o incorporate feng shui principles as a foundation because of its common-sense-decluttered-good-vibe reputation. Paralyzed by the different types of feng shui approaches, not to mention bedding, paint, furniture, and style options, I hired Sharon and her team to help me find a direction and create a plan. Sharon took a lot of notes as we walked through the house, while I explained my vision for a fresh, bright, happy decor that incorporates both calm and fun while also being clean and sophisticated. My plan will take at least a couple of years to accomplish according to my budget (includes hardwood floors and some bathroom remodeling), but even changing the bedding in the master bedroom has had a wonderfully positive affect on the energy in our home. And, for the believers out there, I *highly* recommend the energy clearing as well. The house no longer feels stale and sad. I'm grateful to have found Sharon and Stacy and am looking forward to completing the next phase of the plan!

Sharon helped me transformed my master bedroom into a relaxing, calm retreat. She made all of the selections, new paint, wood wall treatment, drapes, furniture, art, rug, bedding, decor, everything! She just has a way of putting everything together, with color and textures that makes it a space you want to be in. I could have never done it myself. She is an awesome person to work with and can do wonders within whatever budget you give her. Sharon is all about how the room will make you feel when you are in it. My bedroom is by far my favorite room in my house. Love it!

Sharon did a complete remodel on our Activity Center last year and we still get compliments almost daily. Any new resident who comes through our doors are completely impressed with the beauty of our center. Sharon is personable and so talented. She gave me choices which she recommended which allowed me to be a part of the design element. As we were on a strict budget, she even shopped resale shops for some of our furnishings and repurposed older furniture to make it look like new!
