I have known Selma for several years and I have admired her eye for design and her devotion to detail in her projects. Finally, I was looking to hire Selma for an update in the main floor of my own house and I must say that wish I hadn't waited so long! Selma is easy to work with. She aims to please and she takes the time to listen and understand her client. She totally understood my request and she exceeded my expectations. She came in budget and with enthusiasm too! Not only did Selma bring a new and updated beauty to my home, her work makes being home feel happy and pretty again.

We have used, and continue to use, Selma Hammer Designs for both of our businesses, an Acupuncture Clinic (Perinton Family Acupuncture) and a Wine Bar (Cork49 Wine Bar). She is both professional and a pleasure to work with. We are very pleased with how our projects turned out. In both cases, she managed all aspects of the project, from design through the completion of the build out. It was great that she also has existing contractor relationships to draw from, which made the entire effort turn-key for us. Our customers regularly comment on how much they like the design.

I have not only had the pleasure of working with SHD personally, but have witnessed her design work with other clients as well. First and foremost, Selma listens to her clients, observes and absorbs her clients taste in both likes and dislikes, and works within the budget allotted. Her sense of color, textures, and placement of décor is brilliant. Highly recommend SHD for a consultation and ultimately hiring her to transform any room. Beautiful work!

Selma is so easy to work with and I felt completely comfortable placing the design in her hands. She listens to what you need and want and then formulates an idea and plan around that. She doesn't compromise functionality for design, but rather creates a perfect marriage between the two.
