Farwest Landscape Design - Boise

This was the 3rd time I had done a large yard project since 2009 and the first time I have used Farwest. No hardscape was used in my project. I will never use another landscape company again. My project was extensive and included new beds, turf removal, boulder placement, plant placement including trees and reworking the established irrigation system. From the first meeting when we discussed the scope of the project until the project was finished, the team at Farwest was professional and knowledgeable. During the design phase, I felt like the design team truly listened to my vision for the project and helped me to achieve that. The crews on site were professional, polite and helpful. The caliber of the work was top notch. At the end of the day, the site was "tucked in" for the night without a mess. Since the project was finished, the Farwest team has continued to be responsive and helpful to optimize the irrigation and assist in maximizing the health of the plants. I would absolutely recommend Farwest to anyone considering a landscape project.

We recently finished a backyard landscape project with Farwest. The employees we worked with were professional, knowledgeable, and quick to find solutions for our backyard problems. When their crews came to complete the work, they were hard working, well trained, and completed the project quickly. I highly recommend their services, and will use them for any future landscaping projects we have.

I recently had some landscaping done at my house by Far West. Everyone involved was very professional. Emily was excellent at picking and placing the best plants and flowers so they compliment each other. I loved the fact that they completely cleaned up afterwards. Everything looked excellent before they left. i had great response from Emily on the limited issues i had. i would definitely recommend Far West for any landscaping needs you might require.

Lindsay Alsup and her team did an excellent job. They transformed my back yard, which had NO landscaping whatsoever, into a pleasant environment. My front yard had a lot of dead shrubs and non-desirable plants. They dug, pulled and replaced the entire front border. They planted trees, bushes and flowers and installed a wonderful brick border. The crew were very professional and detail oriented. When they were done, they cleaned up completely, and left no litter or debris behind. What a great job! I love it! Looking forward to the next job!

We moved into a new home last year with effectively no landscaping. After looking at our options we chose FarWest and could not be more pleased. They worked with us on a design, plant choices, and placement after listening to our likes, dislikes. That lead to a detailed line item estimate that gave us the information we needed to make choices while staying in our budget. Once the plan was drafted, the work was scheduled and began within a couple weeks. Their installation crew was fantastic. We had a lot to do and Farwest brought out a crew that was efficient, hard working, courteous and respectful of our home. Along the way as new issues arose, they informed us and made sure we knew if any changes were made to our original plan. We want to thank Ashley for our original plan, Cody for managing the installation, and Adrian and his crew for the exception end result at our home. Highly recommend FarWest and the people they employ to get the job done!

I am delighted to now be acquainted with FarWest Landscape and Garden Center! We have lived many years in the Treasure Valley and have missed this gem until recently. Truly, FarWest offers a wide breadth of knowledge (botanists!), service, and offerings (in addition to landscape, they also specialized in hardscape design and installation--i.e. patios, fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, retaining walls, etc...). We had the joy of working with Lindsay Alsup, a landscape architect (and botanist), who chose six trees to replace and supplement our current landscape design. The crew who removed and installed the trees did a phenomenal job--they were professional, efficient, and had great attention to detail (it is my understanding FarWest's crews have been with this locally-owned company for many years--which says a great deal about FarWest as an employer in an industry which typically sees much attrition). I highly recommend FarWest and am happy to have finally found them!

I am so pleased with the results of my new front yard! Lindsay and Salvador were exceptional to work with. Lindsay answered all of my questions with professionalism and worked with me on plant selection and changes that I desired. I am so excited to see my landscape this spring as everything starts to re-emerge. And I really like that I don't have to mow! I call it my no-mo yard.

Lindsay offered a plan that gave me the privacy I needed and an attractive appearance in my backyard. She offered a clear plan with associated costs that I could use to make a decision. She was one of three landscapers I contacted for bids and she provided the most professional service from design to implementation. The team came in and did the work with precision and professionalism.

We moved into a 1949 Colonial several years ago; the yard lacked pizazz, to say the least. When I contacted a landscaper in our neighborhood and told her my ideas, she said the job was beyond her scope and recommended Far West. I called and was lucky enough to get Stacy Shafer to do our job. I wanted to work with some of the existing plantings, but wanted to add both landscape and hardscape that matched the 1949 character of our home--no boulders and grasses, please--but one that was also easy to maintain. Stacy was patient in working with my ideas and gave great advice. She also was aware of our budget concerns and would guide us when we decided we could complete a task. Her crew was a pleasure to have around our home, and she and the crew were reliable--there when scheduled and always leaving our yard as neat as possible during the process. Since then, we have used the crew for semi-annual clean-ups and have been equally pleased. We now have the second loveliest yard on our street, second only to the spectacular garden of our next door neighbors. I can recommend Far West without hesitation.

Lindsay was a professional in every way offering excellent solutions to my landscaping needs. As I recently moved to Boise, she helped me understand native plants and offered suggestions on what plants would thrive in my clay filled soil. I appreciated her expertise and would highly recommend her for any landscaping project!

Lindsay at FarWest did an amazing job on our project! We had a design drawn up for our yard by a separate designer and we were looking for a landscape company to install the design. The design had taken months to complete so we were looking for someone who could focus on our project and get it done in an efficient manner. Lindsay and her team said that they could do this and they did! She did suggest some design changes as she was implementing the design. She was very easy to discuss ideas with and listened to us. The Farwest team did all of the brickwork as well as the flower beds and grass. We are very happy with how our yard turned out!
