JMorris Design LLC

They helped make our basement into a livable and fun room foe our preteen daughter and the adults in our household. We couldn’t have done it without their guidance.

I bought my first home this spring and wanted to get some input from a professional to make sure it was everything I always dreamed of and more by time we moved in. Working with Jennifer was fantastic, she provided me with options for tile, wallpaper, and lighting that I never would have been able to find on my own and that I am absolutely in love with. She also designed the kitchen island of my dreams, customized to exactly what we needed and connected me to a builder who can make it a reality. The island is gorgeous and the perfect focal point of my new home and again, never would have been able to achieve this without her input and expertise.

Jennifer is truly the best at what she does. There are no shortage of creative designers in NYC, but working with Jennifer is a special experience that only she can provide. She took the time to understand the elements of our home that we wanted to maintain and what mattered most to us. Working with our architects and us she was able to keep the things that make our space unique. She highlighted the historical details we wanted to keep and made our space feel modern and bright at the same time. She also is a genius at picking paint colors, fabrics, and wallpaper! Jen understands beauty and practicality. She helped us make our dining room functional and elegant, giving our sons a place to do school work and for us to have family meals. She makes everything easy and her confidence in her clients and designs makes a sometimes overwhelming time painless. She breathed life into our home through the use of color and the selection of pieces in every room. I’m thinking of her suggestion to keep a navy sink and tie it all together with painted stripes in our boys’ bathroom. She is creative, intelligent, fun, and a true collaborator. She not only was able to help my husband and I blend our sometimes opposing styles, she also navigated and built relationships with our contractors and architects that extended well after our remodel was done. She also has fantastic resources and is our go-to for all our home questions. Thank Jen for making us and our home feel so special!

Jennifer is great! She’s a pleasure to work with and has an amazing aesthetic. Jennifer has worked with us on several projects in our home and almost single-handedly transformed our dark and drab living space into a bright, happy, and welcoming place. She was super mindful of budget constraints and creatively incorporated existing items/furniture when necessary. We’re looking forward to working with her again very soon- we’re not done yet!

Jennifer and her team consulted with me on my UES apt and provided an extensive list of recommendations that suited my style and budget. I was looking to refresh the decor of a two bedroom rental on a set budget. They shared ideas and perspectives that I would never have thought of on my own including suggestions to maximize space, improve room layouts, repurpose furniture pieces, create interest in a “cookie-cutter” apt and illicit a cohesive feel. They provided guidance on items I wished to purchase like diameter for lamp shades, size of rug, and paint color to complement existing finishes. They also helped me prioritize my improvements. They knew what was most impactful and guided me on where best to invest. Within 48 hours of the consult, they provided a detailed outline of all recommendations, including links to merchandise and vendors discussed. I was extremely pleased and would highly recommend this experience working with JMorris Design to anyone who needs a design consult. It was eye-opening and fun!

We had an excellent experience with Jen Morris. Jen has an amazing eye. We wanted to optimize an unusual space in our home, and she came up with the perfect solution! She was sensitive to our needs and tastes and worked quickly to provide great ideas and options. Perhaps most importantly, she was flexible and patient with our own decision-making process. Kudos to Jen!

Jen is simply an incredible designer at the top of her field. This is our second time hiring her to design an apartment and we could not be more thrilled with her work specifically. Her aesthetic sensibilities are incomparable. Jen gets to know you and your style and conceives a vision for your space that is beyond beautiful. She is a chameleon that can discern what suits you and adapt to it, divining a vision for your home that is pitch perfect, original, out of the box, and comfortable. Her vast knowledge of materials, spacial organization, and technical design underlies her creativity with smart and grounded choices. Her designs are never run of the mill or cookie cutter, are always extraordinary defy expectations. Your space becomes an original work of art. I would recommend to her everyone I know. Absolutely love her!

Jennifer is creative, thoughtful, and a great listener. She clarified our barely formed design ideas and brought them to life. The result is a beautiful, bright living space that came in on time and budget. We can’t thank her or recommend her highly enough!

The first time I met Jennifer, I knew I was going to love working with her on the remodel of my house. Not only does Jen have exquisite taste and an impeccable eye, but she approaches design with a sense of whimsy and fun. She is able to see new roles for old pieces and imagine small changes that make a big difference. I appreciated Jen’s attention to pricing and the way she updated me with different options at every point. Our bedroom is now my sanctuary; I am in love with our new dresser and chairs and the whole feel and color scheme of the room. Working with Jennifer has been a total pleasure and a great gift I gave to myself and my family.

JMorris Design is the best! I have used this business for multiple projects, both at home and in my office. First of all, Jennifer always comes to the project with enthusiasm and creativity. Secondly, she always has multiple ideas to choose from, which helps if you need to compromise or coordinate with people sharing your space. This includes offering things at different price points, depending on your budget, as well as different aesthetics The outcome is always modern, vibrant, classy. If you use JMorris, you'll walk into your space and breathe a sigh of contentment.

Working with Jennifer has been a terrific experience! She has a great eye, truly invests herself in the project and is incredibly responsive, not only in terms of answering emails/calls and sharing status updates, but more importantly, in terms of listening to client taste/needs and tailoring design choices to reflect that input. Thanks to Jennifer, our home has been transformed into a comfortable and attractive living space. In addition, her team -- plus everyone from the millworkers to the wallpaper installers to the rug layers she's recommended -- has made this process extremely smooth. I can't recommend JMorris Design highly enough!

Working with Jennifer was the best decision we made when renovating our home. I immediately loved Jennifer's style and her collaborative approach. It was so refreshing to be able to give Jennifer our budget and then review 3-5 options that she had carefully selected to be cohesive, stylish and within that budget. Jennifer advised us where to splurge and where to save and listened attentively when we shared our lifestyle priorities and idiosyncrasies. Jennifer has an excellent eye for mixing high and low finishes and furniture and designed our whole house with a look and functionality that works for our family of five. Jennifer liaised directly with our contractor (who was also fabulous) to realize our collective vision and it was a huge relief not to have to worry about technicalities like how much tile we needed or whether the couches would fit. Whenever a hitch arose (and they always do), Jennifer was honest, solution oriented, and worked with us and the contractor to make it right. And she always did!

Jennifer has a wonderful creative eye and took the time to understand my tastes. Jennifer helped me renovate a bathroom, construct and decorate an addition, and decorate several rooms in my home. I highly recommend her!

Jennifer helped us find the right vision for our project, which included gut renovation of kitch, bath and dining room. She finds the right balance between listening and guiding. Her technical skills in drawing up plans and a huge plus. The project far exceeded our expectations and we are thrilled to be living in it!

Jenn is the best designer. She really knows how to match high end with with economical choices- spending money in the right places!

Jennifer was amazing. She came to our first meeting with great ideas about how to make use of what had been useless space in our kitchen (ultimately creating a beautiful eat in kitchen area with a built in banquette that easily fits our family of 5 and then some) as well as ideas for an entryway area to ditch jackets, shoes, and bags. Jennifer then followed up with comprehensive plans that included two or three different variations to choose from. Finally she stayed on top of the project every step of the way - coordinating deliveries, contractors, etc. In the end we have a beautifully remodeled master bath, office, powder, entryway and dining area. Jennifer was professional, creative, and committed to the project.

Jennifer is a pleasure to work with. We worked with her on our kitchen renovation this past summer. She was able to make our small space more functional and beautiful. In addition to being an excellent designer, she is an excellent project manager. Our renovation was finished on time. We are so happy with our new kitchen. We plan on working with her again for future work in our home.

It has been an absolute pleasure working with Jennifer in designing our home. She is creative and insightful and has a wonderful ability of pushing us out of our comfort zones to make amazing design choices. She is organized and lovely to work with. I would recommend her without reservations to anyone looking to hire a true professional with amazing style.

Jennifer is such a delight to work with! We remodeled our whole apartment and she had such a good eye for design, keeping in mind what we requested and our tastes. She was attentive to detail and managed every step of design from start to finish. I feel very lucky to have found her to work with and hope that everyone looking for a designer gets to benefit from her expertise and wonderfully warm personality.

We had the pleasure of working with Jennifer for a Commercial project in Brooklyn. She was extremely pleasant and provided great customer service to her client. Her client was very happy with the finished product and Jennifer was definitely played a pivotal role in the process. We would love to work with her again & recommend her to anyone looking for a Interior Designer.

We had and still have the pleasure of working with Jennifer over the past year during the renovation of our Brownstone in Brooklyn. The design project included the design and ordering of all new furniture and lighting, as well as floor, wall, and window coverings, for the 4 bedroom, 4 1/2 bath, kids play room, formal dinning room and 2 living spaces in our Brownstone. Jennifer was in one word, Amazing. She came into this project with a passion for design that was easily contagious to both my partner and I. Thankfully she was able to push us just outside our decorating comfort zone and the result is a home that is beautiful as well as comfortable for us and our 2 kids. She is the ultimate professional and brings with her, design experience that I don't believe we could have found with anyone else. From the initial presentation of design and budget, she worked endlessly to bring us products that fit into our tastes, but pushed the boundaries of what we were comfortable with. And the results have been beautiful and always within budget. She worked with vendors she trusted and counted on in past jobs for an exceptional product delivered to our home. She was there for installs and some deliveries that I could not be there for to make sure everything turned out as expected. I would not hesitate to work with Jennifer again.

My husband and I really enjoyed working with Jennifer. She is a true professional with a lot of passion for her work. Jennifer helped us on many levels from making sure the design of our renovated home was not only beautiful but also functional and would last through time. She had a difficult task to come up with designs that were appealing to both of us which I thought was nearly impossible. Jennifer brought a tremendous amount of creativity and suggested ideas/layouts/colors that we never thought of or imagined before....and while it sometimes took us a while to get comfortable with some of these out-of-the-box ideas, we were very happy we implemented them. The risks she had us take paid off. We are incredibly happy with the way our home turned out and would hire her again in a heart beat.

Jennifer is a consummate professional. She is creative, energetic, and unstinting in enthusiasm and ideas. We started out with a meeting to create a design for a 1-bedroom prewar on the UWS of Manhattan with beautiful views and unusual architectural features. She immediately had a vision that encompassed the interior and external space, and made specific recommendations on arranging original furniture, which immediately made a difference in the home, and followed through with a design plan, involving very good vendors and craftspeople who helped bring every aspect of the project to fruition, and with whom she coordinated and directed beautifully. The thread throughout was HER vision and commitment to seeing it through at the highest aesthetic level. She is very respectful of me as the client and my ideas, and together we made a good team, but none of what we have accomplished so far would have been possible with out her steadfastness and endless supply of specific ideas, fabrics, design and furniture options, and sense of humor. I am very grateful, and would refer her without hesitation.

Jennifer did a fabulous job! She not only came up with a beautiful design, she was fantastic to work with. Jennifer was flexible with our firm's sometimes frequent changes and worked with the building management to abide by their union terms. We are beyond thrilled with the end result!

Jennifer has been a joy to work with. She first helped us reimagine our apartment as we made room for a new baby. She made thoughtful suggestions for our older daughters' room, providing options that were space-efficient, age appropriate (with room to grow) and very stylish. She helped us reorganize our living space to accommodate the fact that we lost our former office to become the baby's room and has improved the feel and flow of the room beyond all recognition. She looked at our entry way and turned former "dead space" that was a dumping ground into useful storage space that we use to corral the kids' shoes, coats and backpacks. Now we are in the process of remodeling our apartment (by adding on a neighboring studio). She is providing excellent and helpful input as we work with the architects to expand our current living footprint. Most importantly, Jennifer listened carefully to what we were looking to do, our style and our lifestyle and made thoughtful choices for us taking all that into account. Highly recommended.

I had the pleasure of working with Jennifer Morris on a project in Manhattan this past spring. Her design ideas for the fireplace surround were spot on, her direction was concise and because she had such a good working relationship with her client, our job went smoothly. Her client understood the design, knew about our material (cast concrete) and was happy with our work in the end. I would gladly work with JMorris again.

We could not have renovated our apartment without Jennifer. She suggested a new and much improved floorplan, and had ingenious ideas for the use of space - I never imagined we could create two walk-in closets, a pantry and an office in the room we had, but she did it all without making the rest of our living space seem any smaller, just by thinking efficiently and creatively. She was flexible with all of our worries, mindful of our unique personal style, and attentive to detail. She worked with us to get bids and select a contractor, and then managed the project, respecting our budget and keeping things moving. She literally turned our dark and gloomy apartment into a place I am thrilled to come home to. I will always be grateful to her and could not recommend her more highly!

Jennifer did an excellent job designing our small space to work more effectively for our growing family. She came up with creative solutions to our space issues, and was respectful of our budget constraints. She is a very talented designer and a pleasure to work with!

I hired jmorris to provide design consulting for our new brownstone. Jennifer provided very tasteful advice and also spent time understanding our tastes and incorporated that into her recommendations. Jennifer was respectful of our budget both in the way she worked with us and the pieces she recommended. She was always available to provide feedback and advice and through her services we have ended up with a gorgeous house. Jennifer is also very pleasant and easy to work with and she really cares about her clients and her results. At one point we had an issue with one of her vendors and we weren't satisfied with their work and she quickly got involved and resolved the issue to our satisfaction. I highly recommend Jennifer if you are looking for someone to help you turn your home or residence into a beautiful environment.

I highly recommend Jennifer Morris. She is a talented designer and a pleasure to work with. Jennifer has a special ability to strike a balance between beautiful interiors and the practicality of family living. She turned our apartment into a stylish yet comfortable, warm and family-friendly home. I greatly appreciated Jennifer's work style. She was respectful of my vision for our home but gently offered more design options and improvements. Jennifer provided several options, when needed, and often came to my apartment to help me make final decisions. She worked very efficiently and is, thankfully, detail-oriented. Jennifer is a very effective communicator and consistently followed through on any open items or issues. Additionally, Jennifer was trustworthy and forthright with regard to all purchases. Working with Jennifer was very enjoyable. She is friendly and pleasant. Jennifer was always considerate of time and budget. Several friends have also worked with Jennifer and have had equally positive experiences.

A friend recommend Jennifer to help transform my apt in to an open airy space. I wanted to create an attractive, functional home with a sense of style. It was just pieces of furntiure thown together from my previous apt. I did not trust myself to pick new pieces and desperately wanted a new look. She gave some good ideas and then proceeded with furniture recommendations that were absolutely perfect for my family and budget..Her ideas were refreshing and practical and now I feel at peace in my home. Jenn is a talended interior designer - I would absolutely recommend and plan to use her again when we move to our new apt.

Jennifer is a delight to work with. While she is easy going and calm in nature she attacks projects with an energy and focus I wish I could possess. She thinks practically and creatively drawing on her experiences to bring the best fit to your home for you. Jennifer indulged some of my more crazy ideas and then dropped them without resentment when I decided not to do them. Her turn around time is fast and she is very efficient. She designed, ordered and managed the installation for most of my three story home. We are working together again on what remains and I am equally happy with her service.

Jennifer helped me focus my pile of ideas and expand on them. I have small children and she was very knowledgable about ways I can get the look I want but in kid-friendly finishes. She was also mindful of my budget and I always felt our meetings were productive and professional. Highly recommend!

My husband and I were referred to Jennifer Morris through a friend and client of hers and immediately felt a connection. She is very down to earth, warm and made the process what we were looking for. We were on a strict budget and we also had ideas we had wanted and then had to re-think certain ideas and she was always and is always very patient w us. She is very knowledgeable on stores and product to look at. She is very thorough and honest in her thought process. She is not just very skilled with design and styling - she is very skilled with archicture and has an eye for understanding spaces.

Jennifer is an amazing interior designer! She really listens, works quickly, and has undeniable talent. When we bought our new apartment, I needed some help with choosing the right paint colors and finishes since I was overwhelmed by the options and wanted to make sure our new place had character and warmth. Jennifer took a look at my new place and helped me plan where all my existing furniture would fit and then we discussed goals for what new pieces would be needed. Then she got paint samples which she tested in different parts of the apartment with different lighting. In addition to those choices, she gave me a good sense of what to look for in case I went to the paint store myself for additional colors. She also recommended a painter to do the actual painting. Everything turned out wonderfully and she pulled together some unique colors & looks that hadn't even occurred to me. After the painting job was completed, I hired her for advice and some general help in choosing the right kind of carpet, furniture, window treatments, etc. Again, she presented great picks for my budget. I also liked that she - being a mom herself - knew a lot about products that are safe and suitable for a family with children, while not compromising on the look. Jennifer was great with my crazy schedule (a toddler, job, moving, etc). She is very diligent, follows up and you will never wonder when something will be delivered or completed. I have recommended her to several friends and everyone has been thrilled.

When Jennifer first came to my apartment to help me completely redo my bedroom the first thing she did was talk to me about what I wanted. Since I could only think about it in broad terms - what I wanted it to feel like - she sent me lots of photos. She really knows what is out in the market. I had a cabinet maker and she worked really well with him - she is very detail- oriented and exacting. She was respectful of my budget. She really helped me to try new ideas and broaden my thinking about what I wanted. I am very happy with the end result - Jen designed a beautiful bedroom and she made the deliveries easy and set up appointments to see different vendors. I will be using Jen soon when I do my living room.

Jennifer Morris is an experienced professional who provided us with advice, ideas and wonderful options when we wanted to update three rooms in our apartment. She was always flexible in her suggestions in cases where we wanted other choices. She was never wedded to one way of approaching the design. She worked with the pieces we wanted to keep and made them look fresh and fit in with the new pieces we acquired. Her color sense is great and the wall colors she chose just enhanced the furniture choices and curtain designs, all of which she did. She is punctual, hard working and organized. She will work within your budget whether your choose from West Elm or places in the D&D building.

Jennifer Morris is amazing! During an immense gut renovation to two floors of our brownstone, we were completely lost about everything--how to lay out the rooms, what furniture/accessories we should buy, paint colors, fixtures, etc. Jennifer guided us through all of it. We told her that, given our busy schedules, we needed her to give us just a few options per area (color, lamps, etc.) and she did all of the front end work so that we were able to choose from a few final top picks. She was always incredibly patient and considerate of our aesthetic, but also encouraged us to try new things and get out of our color/design rut. And we are so happy we did! Jennifer is also great on the budget--she asked what we wanted to spend and worked with us to make it happen. Her work ethic and design aesthetic are impeccable. Best of all, she is one of the nicest people I have ever worked with and cares about how your home turns out virtually as much as you do. I continue to contact her whenever we are thinking about a new purchase--because I trust her opinions that much. She is the best!

Jennifer did an outstanding job with our 4 story brownstone. We were moving from an apartment in Manhattan into a Brooklyn brownstone and JMorris Design put together a thoughtful layout for the entire house including 4 bedrooms, children's playroom, basement storage & gym, dining & parlor room. What impressed us the most was Jennifer's ability to walk into a room and bring a clarity of vision. Our parlor floor was the most challenging and in our first meeting in the new home, Jennifer assessed the light in the rooms to find textured wallcovering that brought warmth to the room. She helped with paint colors and wallcovering and was able to incorporate existing furniture pieces but also helped us quite a few more signature pieces including carpets from varied sources. JMorris Design not only managed the process with painters, wallcovering, furniture acquisition, but also helped us design a walk in closet and brought in contractors. We are absolutely delighted with the outcome and Jennifer was wonderful to work with. She understood the challenges of a growing family and made our move into our new home go as smoothly as possible. We also found that Jennifer was flexible with our budget and had the capacity to work with a range of design stores to create a very cohesive vision.

I cannot say enough good things about working with Jennifer Morris. From the beginning she had a tremendous shared vision for my apartment and was able to execute it flawlessly. From initial consultation and prep work to working directly with the contractors to manage the workflow to follow-thru I was consistently in awe of what Jennifer was able to accomplish. She was able to work with my own thoughts for the apartment but consistently elevate my sense of style. I am beyond thrilled with the end result and would recommend Jennifer to absolute anyone (have already done so to my sister). She is a Rock Star in the design world and consider myself lucky to have worked with her.

Jennifer was amazing to work with - professional, respectful of budget, flexible and spot on with design aesthetic and creative sense. I've already recommended her to friends and will continue to do so.
