Lee designed a bathroom addition for us in an awkward space on a historic house and it worked out beautifully. He was flexible and understanding, highly knowledgeable and full of good ideas, and he handled the infuriating city permitting process with patience and persistence. I couldn’t recommend Lee more highly. He’s a fine architect and a great guy.

Lee Shaw has helped me with two projects. He is thorough and demonstrates a sincere desire to give his clients what they want. He attends meticulously to details and gives important advice to assure a lasting satisfactory result. Lee has integrity and delivers excellent quality work.

We found Lee to be attentive, genuinely interested in our thoughts, and flexible in working to our schedule. He was well engaged not only with the General Contractor but also the material suppliers. I met Lee while walking my son's dog Teddy. We chatted and I found out he is an Architect. He provided me with an as built preconstruction survey that was fabulous. and from there we designed a home remodel and garage. The best thing about Lee is that he understands what you are really after. I have been a successful general contractor in several different states for 30+ years. Lee is a consummate professional. When I asked to design a "Batcave Garage" he understood what I was talking about and created it. We had to redesign due to County and Feng Shui constraints and he did it again! Hidden staircase, a stage, great windows etc. He also had grand ideas to incorporate the house and yard into the new design. I would HIGHLY recommend Lee Shaw Architecture to everyone.

As a licensed general contractor and home owner, I have hired Lee Shaw Architecture for two additions to our home in Tucson Az. The first project was a a cantilevered porch addition to our guest house and the other was a free standing garage and studio addition . Lee brought his years of knowledge and a meticulous work ethic to our collaborations. He was essential in getting both projects off the ground from ideas on a napkin to finished structures. Starting a home remodel is a daunting task. I had never done it before and wasn't quite sure even where to start. Having a partner like Lee Shaw made everything come together and eased my anxiety. With Lee’s help we completed plans for a significant remodel of our 1960s home in Tucson. Looking at everything we wanted done, my husband and I realized what we were embarking on was a major project. Lee’s insights and responsiveness enabled us to approach the remodel in phases instead of all at once, which eased our budget (and my anxiety). Lee is a creative and insightful architect who is very attune to his client's styles, preferences and wants. He listened to me and made every effort to understand the things that are important to me and my family then used that information to put together comprehensive plans for our remodel. He came up with some ideas I wouldn't have thought of on my own but now couldn't live without. I can't say enough good words about Lee's work style, professionalism and deep client connection. I felt bad about coming to him after we had finalized our plans to ask if we could make some changes. Lee jumped right in and embraced my request and without hesitation or resistance and came through with exactly what I wanted. Lee is undoubtedly one of the nicest people and most talented architects in the greater Tucson area. I can't recommend him enough. Thanks for a successful project, Lee. I love my new kitchen. I love my two new walk-in closets. I love my new living room with all the big, beautiful windows and all the light that comes in, and I love how I feel every day in my lovely home.

We hired Lee to help us design a guest casita for our home in Oro Valley. Working with him has been a wonderful experience. Starting with the initial consultation, Lee took the time to get to know us and truly understand what we wanted to create, in terms of both functionality and design. He met with us regularly through each stage of project development, always maintaining excellent communication, and efficiently managed the scheduling of needed engineering consults, soil analysis, etc. But beyond his professional knowledge, talent, and skills, Lee is simply a great person. He is kind, patient, and thoughtful, and clearly cares about the people he works for. And while we have decided to hold off on starting construction, we take great comfort in knowing that Lee will continue to support us through every future stage of the project. We worked with Lee Shaw on a large addition to our home, which included a brand new kitchen, bathroom, and more. Working with him was absolutely fantastic. We could not recommend him more strongly. We had met with a few other people before we found Lee and everyone else seemed to either not offer enough creative ideas for us or they seemed to immediately push us way past our budget. Lee struck the perfect balance -- his creative vision is truly amazing and he presented us with incredible designs and ideas we never could have possibly thought of. Yet he also remained mindful of our budget and respectful of our own unique style. Lee worked with us every step of the way -- designing, overseeing the construction, offering advice on the interior, etc. The addition Lee designed and oversaw turned out to be more than we had dreamed of. It blends in seamlessly with our house but also gives us a new, modern, gorgeous kitchen and living space. (We have had strangers walking by the house stop to tell us how great it looks!) In addition, Lee is just a kind, warm, and caring person. We were so happy to get to know him and to get a chance to work with him. We are grateful that he played such an integral role in our home remodel. We have recommended him to multiple people and will continue to do so.

My wife and I hired Lee late in 2017 - when we first met Lee it was clear that he was a partner that we could work well with, so we waited for him to finish some other projects before he started work on ours. Our initial impressions of Lee have only been amplified as we have worked together to achieve an elegant vision for our very large project - remodel, new building, you name it we have it. He has created a beautiful space that will begin construction very shortly. He is patient, he listens and is receptive to and creative with alternative ideas when working through the many choices, compromises, and discussions that are part of the creative process We wanted to work with a smaller firm where we weren't just a number - and Lee has delivered in spades. I would not hesitate to use him again and strongly recommend him and his way of working with clients, suppliers, and the county to create elegant and functional designs.

Lee Shaw designed a beautiful master suite for us including a two-door entry, vestibule with a 6" tall window facing a garden, French doors and a walk-in closet. The bathroom included a large window over the tub facing the mountains, a sky light in the shower, separate toilet room, double sinks and many more amenities. He had to overcome multiple challenges and not only overcame them professionally, but excelled beyond our expectations.
