J.T. McDermott Remodeling

JT McDermott finished the lower level basement in our home. We couldn't be more satisfied with the final outcome. It's beautiful and exactly what we wanted. The entire process of working with the team at McDermott was easy. Brittany listened to what we wanted and her final design was perfect. Our lead carpenter Brian was a perfectionist with his carpentry skills. Also, his constant communication with us during the entire process was excellent. We were always informed on what was going to happen next. Thanks to everyone at McDermott for making the whole process seem so easy!!

Through every aspect of our basement finishing project, we felt well cared for by McDermott Remodeling. In our initial planning Megan and Ron listened to us, helping us to discern what we wanted and needed for our project and offering alternatives and suggestions about how to best accomplish our objectives. Throughout the construction phase, Rob worked with us daily, seamlessly scheduling sub-contractors, making sure each one did quality work in a timely manner. He also kept us informed each and every day and was always concerned that were satisfied with that day's efforts. Even as we added some changes through the project, Rob always greeted us with a smile and accommodated our needs. Owner Josh McDermott also checked in periodically to make sure we were satisfied with the project. In addition, the office staff was always professional and very helpful. The price was fair, their work was excellent, their concern for their customers outstanding. We could not be happier. I would recommend McDermott Remodeling without hesitation.

JT McDermott Remodeling completed a kitchen remodel for our new, old house. We are thrilled with the final project and grateful to have had trustworthy professionals guide us through the entire process. We worked primarily with Megan Gerdes (for design) and Rob Ledee (on-site lead contractor). Both were accessible, easy to talk to and offered solutions to the requests we had. Megan created the digital mock-up to allow us to visualize the final product, sourced my ideas, and offered suggestions that stayed true to the house, but also were in my tastes. Rob juggled the sub-contractors schedules and main construction tasks with open communication, and respect to our family while living through the renovation. We had a significant support-wall removed with our remodel, and we were not nervous at all about the process, and care that went into removing almost 100yr old bricks. The peace of mind that came with working with JT McDermott was worth every penny! We would not hesitate to recommend them!

Work done: Room addition and house upgrades. Josh and his Team are 100% the real deal!!!!! They will perform well beyond your expectations and do so in the most professional manner. Mark Schmidt the Lead Craftsman assigned to our job was all that anyone could ask for....I'm not kidding. Mark is a master at home remodeling as well as the most down-to-Earth individual you'll ever meet. He's so easy to work with and you can tell his Team enjoys working with him. Add to that his workhorse attitude of getting the job done as well as getting the job done right and you have the perfect combination of skills and demeanor of the person you want doing the work on your home. It's been over a year since the project was completed and my wife and I enjoy our new room and upgrades every single day. Our home is so much more opened and we so enjoy the brightness of the outside coming into our home. The materials and workmanship have held solid...every thing is 100% perfect. It looks and feels great. All guests to our home have loved it and were extremely impressed with the project and its results. The entire McDermott team was outstanding throughout the process of our extensive remodeling project, and we couldn't be happier with our final results. We were impressed with the attention to detail and support we received in all phases of planning, implementation, and completion. From the very beginning Ron Mifflin and Megan Gerdes "heard us" and worked above and beyond to make our vision a reality throughout the extensive planning period. A strength of McDermott is the in-house designer. Megan was with us every step of the process and made picking out materials for our new spaces seamless and enjoyable. She provided excellent support, suggestions, and advice. Our Lead Craftsman Rob Ledee was excellent. His work ethic and attention to detail was phenomenal and beyond our expectations. He kept us constantly informed and never left for the day without cleaning the remodeling space, giving us a progress report, telling us the plans for the next day, and asking what he could do for us before he left. McDermott has an excellent online customer program that keeps an up-to-date calendar and resource for us, but to be honest we rarely had to use it because Rob kept us so well informed. The trade partners McDermott used to support our project were also excellent. Rob provided excellent leadership with the myriad of people involved in every phase of the construction. We were also very impressed that the owner, Josh McDermott, took such an active role in the process and assuring our satisfaction. McDermott's 'after project' support is also reassuring and a strong selling point. From the office support staff to the president of the company McDermott did not disappoint! We have already had them back for another smaller project and will not hesitate to use them again. Anyone considering a remodeling project would certainly get a thumbs-up referral from us! We had the first floor of our two story home remodeled. This included a kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room, powder room and hallway. We had all the windows and exterior doors replaced as well. This was a large project and it was completed in a very timely fashion, with all project deadlines met. From the initial estimate to the walk through at the end, everyone with JT McDermott Remodeling were wonderful. They're very knowledgeable, respectful and professional. Ron, our Project Estimator, helped us stay on budget and even presented us ways we could save money by offering alternate options. Brittany, our Project Designer, made the material selection process very easy and gave us confidence in our selections. Rob, our Project Manager, was on site daily, always kept us informed and took care of any questions or concerns we had. We lived in our home during the process. The workers kept their mess to a minimum and cleaned up every day. We are extremely happy with our new first floor. We are very pleased with our new master bath. God is good. A friend at church referred us saying Mcdermott does remodeling the right way. Our 25 year old house needed to be safer as we aged. We had a small tub/shower combo and worn vanity and toilet. We wanted a shower only as we don't take baths. The process of a major renovation was scary what if when they opened up the walls (floor electrical) there were problems? The estimated range took all of this into account. The attention to detail & design advice was spot on. We loved working with project manager Dennis. He kept us fully informed every step of the way, addressed all concerns and or offered suggestions or solutions. When the work was done for the day it was as if they hadn't been here they were sensitive to our schedules The promised time frame was met.

i meet them at the Home Show in Belleville , I was looking to redo my kitchen and laundry room , they were very help full in help me with the process I didn't have to worry about permits and hiring any contractors . I love the finished product and wouldn't have ask for a better experience. Was done in the time frame that we discussed . The contractors were very polite and respectful of my home and cleaned up every day .
