This small space was leftover from the existing doorway to the stairs. We added floating shelves for a display area at the entrance to the finished lower level.

Room for the pool table is located at the back end of the lower level near a wall of windows. We installed a countertop with curved ends on the wall to serve as a drink rail. Beyond the pool table is room for a small game table.

Two posts became an architectural focal point in this basement. We wrapped the posts in drywall and built a half wall in between. Beadboard paneling and quartz tops that match the bar finish off this space. This feature provides another row of seating with a perfect view of the TV.

This family room is located on the other side of the half wall. Crisp white built-in cabinets house the TV and media equipment and offest the dark finishes in the bar.

This lower level has a bar perfect for entertaining. It features open shelves, a wall-mounted TV, full sized refrigerator, beverage cooler, sink, and microwave.

The bar is the first thing you see when you enter this lower level. We used darker, moody finishes and a lower ceiling to make it feel cozy and separate from the rest of the space. Smoky stained cabinets and reclaimed wood plank tiles are masculine and durable.
