Renovision Road

My husband and I couldn't be happier that we found Michael and the team at Renovision Road. We fell in love with a unique loft in the South Loop of Chicago, but needed professional help (as well as creative ideas) on how to make it safe for our cats. Michael and Chunjie both came to the table with open minds and a willingness to help. They were professional and friendly, often working around our crazy schedules to make it happen. In addition, the project was completed quicker than the projected timeline. We will most definitely be using them again in the future, and would highly recommend to anyone else seeking assistance!

Renovating a home can be really overwhelming, but Michael made the whole process way easier than I expected (and have experienced with previous contractor services). From start to finish, he was always on top of keeping us updated and checking in regularly, which was a huge relief. Plus, his creative design ideas were spot-on and really helped move things along smoothly. The whole Renovision Road team is incredibly detail-oriented. They put a lot of thought and care into every step of the process, which is something we definitely didn't experience with previous contractors. Renovision Road was a real find! We had a rather complicated renovation project on our kitchen, dining room and family room area that included, among many other things, wall demo, moving plumbing, electrical and removing/replacing brick to install sliding glass doors. I have had renovations done in the past, but never to the scale where architectural drawings were involved and where there were so many unknowns. This is an 84 year old house and we knew we needed to find a crew that would understand the bones of an old place like this. Renovision Road was straight with us from the beginning. They gave us a very detailed quote and also let us know some of the issues that might arise once the walls started coming down. They had a firm grasp of the structural issues of an old house like this and the types of things they might find (like frayed cloth wiring). Needless to say, several issues did arise; insufficient electrical to install our induction stove and convection oven, a leaky flat top roof over the family room, an issue that escaped the house inspection but was confirmed by owners previous to the ones that sold us the house (long story). In any event, Renovision Road met the challenges at every step of the way and were very transparent about the costs, which I shamelessly researched to make certain we were be dealt fairly; and we were. This was a 6 month renovation and given the issues of supply chain during this time (starting summer 2021), it was nothing short of a miracle that it was finished in this time. As we were living there during all of this, there were certainly moments of high stress. There were even times when things didn’t always go as planned, but when I had an issue with work that had been done Michael and Chunjie responded in a timely manner and made the situation right. They had a solution for every problem and were committed to making the finished job match the vision. I enjoyed my dealings with both of them immensely and would highly recommend them to you if you want honest service, an impeccable eye for detail and a real ownership of the project. They come to care about your house as if it were their own and they revel in the finished product with you!!

I purchased my first home earlier this year and hired Michael and his team to make updates to the space. They refinished the floors, rebuilt my fireplace, updated the kitchen, added carpet, built out a laundry room, and so much more. Michael was great at answering all my questions, keeping me up to date on what was happening, and staying on top of the project. Everything was delivered on time and at a very high level of quality! I will definitely continue to reach out to Renovision Road for any future projects!

Turning a half bath into a full bath in a pretty confined corner of a city apartment is no easy - or cheap - ask, but Michael and his team came in with creative, affordable ideas. We were very pleased with his hands on approach, and I always felt my concerns were being heard. It was a weird year for all project renovations, so there were delays based on the market and supply, but Michael kept us up to date as soon as he knew timing or schedules had to change. When inevitable issues or unexpected changes came up, we felt very supported and informed, and the team made updates as needed and as requested. We love the final product and are very pleased with our new laundry and bath.

We did a project with Michael and the Renovision Road team. The work they did was super high quality and they actually finished AHEAD of schedule. As an example of their problem solving, the kitchen configuration was problematic, limiting the size of appliances. We had our heart set on a large oven, somehow Michael's team made it work.
