This landscape company is very professional and does a great job. They are not the cheapest but they are the best that I have found

Carlos Contreras from Torrey Pines Landscape has managed the installation and maintenance of my outdoor landscape (everything from plants to low voltage lights). He and his team have done an excellent job. I would highly recommend Carlos and Torrey Pines Landscape Company.

I have been a client of Torrey Pines Landscape Co., Inc since 2004. They have been responsible for weekly maintenance, occasional special projects, including installation of some hardscape. The work is performed in a professional manner and my yards and garden are left clean and tidy. Supervisors are knowledgeable and always responsive.

Torrey Pines Landscape Co designed and installed my landscape over 10 years ago and have maintained it since. They've consistently done an excellent job for me.

TPL is as far from mow and blow as you can get. We have just over one acre of landscaping that they care for. not only supervisions, but employees are very plant knowledgable. they test water content of soil to adjust watering. they reset timers for daylight savings and time of watering for seasonal sunset time changes. they diagnose and treat fungus. they use fertilizer as needed. plant and/or replant annuals or perennials as needed. They test the watering system and adjust or replace sprinkler heads and valves as needed (we had to do that ourselves with the former mow & blow guys). they are the 4th landscaper we have had over the last 26 years; when we found them about 16 years ago we knew we'd not need to worry or change. They were more expensive than mow and blow, but so worth it. Over 16 years we have very rarely had to make any requests about landscaping beauty or care. they have done a few major landscape/hardscape projects we wanted done as well, all with the highest level of professional work: repaved our 200 foot steep driveway (badly needed) and put in a beautiful retaining wall. they put in a paved walkway

We had a wonderful experience working with Torrey Pines Landscaping from our first call to their office through the last plant going in the ground. The owner of TP; Harry is knowledgeable, helpful, experienced, creative and honest. He understood our vision for our front yard and helped us make it even better than we expected. He really went above and beyond with every detail, so that our yard was beautfiul and functional and represented our taste and complemented our home. The entire staff at Torrey Pines was great to work with. Lei did an excellent job communicating and helping us select all our plants and trees and overseeing the placement of them. Marcos, Javier and all the crew were wonderful in their execution of all the work from leveling our yard, to building the garden wall and patio, as well as the putting in all of the irrigation and lighting. Landscaping is the first thing guests and people passing your home see, so it is a very worthy investment to hire the experts at Torrey Pines!

Torry Pines Landscape Company Was highly recommended to us. If you want the best this is the company to use. When we met the owner Harry, we immediately felt very comfortable working with him and his team. He is extremely knowledgeable, many years of experience, passionate and has a great personality. We had a lot of fun working with him. His team is top-notch. Lei, his Architectural designer and John, his Supervisor were excellent. Always available, very professional, and dedicated. It was impressive to watch how hard and efficient his crews worked. They were always accommodating and helpful. Harry and his team have high standards and want the customer to be happy. We at all times were welcome to share in choices and decisions. So ultimately, we now love our new courtyard, hardscape, landscape and driveway. We enjoyed the journey and are thrilled with the results. It filled our expectations and more.

I hired TPL to do an extensive whole yard renovation that lasted 7 months last year and I could not be happier with the work and the results. For starters, the owner is responsible, responsive, reliable and does everything he promises to do all of the time! It is very rare to find that level of service in our world today. We worked with a phenomenal landscape designer who helped make our dreams a beautiful reality. The foreman and workers were all exceptional, and truly minimized every negative impact there is on a significant construction site. Every day our outside areas were clean and tidy when the workers ended their day. Challenges were met head on and TPL owner Harry Thompson even completed work that was supposed to have been accomplished by another source who dropped the ball on our project. Harry and his staff made certain we were thrilled with the results of their work. It was such a great experience that I have referred many friends and neighbors to Torrey Pines Landscape and I look forward to doing my next project with them when we downsize from our current home. If I could give TPLC 10 stars, I would. Why? Because I love my front yard remodel SIX YEARS later. And this company stands behind its work. For the last 3 years a number of tiles fell off the walls that they created for me... And they have come back 3 times to repair ALL the tiles. GREAT work and the value is that the company is HONEST and has INTEGRITY.

Torrey Pines is the 4th company , starting over 10 years ago, we have had for landscapers. We had two mow & blow companies, and one other professional company but weren't happy. TP fantastic. Our site supervisor is a true horticulture expert, the employees have an educational 1/2 day every other week, we NEVER have to worry about anything and our 1 acre+ of landscaping is a joy and pleasure. They just did a major needed driveway and retaining wall replacement; they are excellent hardscape contractors as well. They asked to copy and paste the note I sent them, but it wasn't sufficient to communicate the quality of their work. Hi Torrey Pines guys, Thank you for doing such a wonderful job on our wall, driveway, and landscape. The replacement landscape is growing in beautifully. Very pleased with the quality of work! Doug Dilworth was wonderful to work with. His design really took to heart our vision for the project, and he was able to incorporate changes as the work progressed to make it even better. He did an excellent job shepherding the project through to completion, providing great attention to detail and communication at each step. The team of Mark Van Milligan and Doug Dilworth came out and planned a beautiful new landscape concept for our Coronado home. Everything was executed timely and efficiently by Joaquin w lighting by David and including an app on our phones to remotely program by Ian. I installed one of my Moon Gates for Torry Pines Landscape in a beautiful garden they'd created in Old Town, San Diego. Their project manager Mark Southern made it easy for me by pre-digging the two holes I needed and supplying the concrete. By the looks of their website and the 1 garden I've seen, they do some very nice work!

Torrey Pines Landscaping was by far the best landscaper we have ever used. From the beginning Doug our landscape architect and project manager was dedicated to our project. If he said he would do something it would get done. The entire crew was at our house every morning until the project was complete and made multiple return visits to make tweaks to get things perfect. We have been so impressed and really enjoyed working with Doug, Dave, Marco and their entire crew. Our backyard was nothing special before, but now with TPL’s vision and attention to detail our backyard is amazing!!

Our backyard garden remodel just recently was completed by Torrey Pines Landscape and we could not be more thrilled with the execution and the final result! Harry Thompson and his crew designed our dream backyard and made it a reality. Our space is on a city-sized lot in the Banker's Hill area and he addressed every challenge our space presented. The entire crew was completely respectful of our privacy, maintaining our security of our yard and keeping the site neat and tidy at the end of each day. Every day, either Harry or Mark would come and check in on the progress of the project and Harry had the crew rebuild part of our custom fountain because he was not satisfied with how it looked initially! Dave, the project supervisor was fantastic to work with and provided valuable insight for things concerning the BBQ island and how the layout would work best. Every single detail was considered, from dog-friendly plants to lighting. I can not recommend them highly enough, they are true craftsmen and if you can dream it, they can create it!

I chose Torrey Pines Landscaping by looking through their website. After meeting with Doug Dilworth I knew I wanted to go with Torrey Pines. He was very easy to talk to and listened to what we wanted to have done in our yard. He came up with great plans and during the whole process was involved via phone and in person. They designed our waterfall and fire pit structure which we really enjoy. Doug has a great disposition and made sure everyone and everything was moving forward. Always could call him for anything or text him at anytime and always got back to me. The whole crew was professional and cleaned up everyday after the day ended. Even the owner came out to introduce himself. We are so happy with our project (and it was the entire yard) and are enjoying it everyday! We would highly recommend Torrey Pines Landscaping.

I asked for and was promised many things by Doug Dilworth of Torrey Pines Landscape Co. and he and his company lived up to every commitment and exceeded my expectations in every way. pricing was very very detailed and supervision was on site every day. Clean up was done everyday. Workers wore company logo shorts and showed up every non rain day and even on rain days to check any possible bad drainage. If you want the very best , these folks are the answer. The ultimate of professionalism!!

We always felt well taken care of, and the usual hiccups along the way were dealt with in a completely professional and timely fashion. Harry and team did an outstanding job in a complete re-do of our front & backyard landscape. They started with a very detailed and well thought through design & plan, and then executed on it with some audibles along the way. I had the pleasure of working with Doug Dilworth with Torrey Pines Landscaping in December of 2016 and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. I called Doug in after my parents had (unfortunately) worked with another company who did a terrible job for them. Doug came in, rolled up his sleeves and came up with an excellent plan to get their yard, drainage, irrigation and planting done right and we could not be happier with how it came out. Doug was involved in the project from start to finish and always available when needed. He listened carefully but provided solid input and expertise at all the right times. Doug is honest, trustworthy and just an all around pleasant person to be around. I cannot recommend his services highly enough and strongly encourage his services. You will not be disappointed.

The Team from Torrey Pines was exceptional to work with. From the first consult with Harry Thompson to the 'final product', we couldn't be happier. The quality of everything they did is great. They transformed our back yard from something we didn't want to look at to something we want to use every day. They were here on time, same time, every day. We purchased a home in Fairbanks Ranch, Rancho Santa Fe and it came with a yard that had been neglected for years. Unfortunately, we made a mistake and did not hire Torrey Pines Landscape Company when we started working on our yard... but we rectified our mistake and couldn't be happier. We had a yard that was overgrown (and what wasn't overgrown was dead), a watering system that wasn't working correctly, and a lighting system that needed to be rewired. They came up with a design that not only met what we wanted but addressed what we needed. A path was added for easier access to our fruit trees and garden and what a great job they did on it despite the pitfalls of working on a steep slope. Doug and his team are true professionals. They kept us informed every step of the way so that we knew exactly what was happening and what if any problems arose. They were very respectful of our property and made sure everyday tools, and debris were cleaned up. When they were finished they did a walk thru with not only us but made sure our gardener knew how everything worked. We used them for our initial project and called them back for Phase II. A great company that we would highly recommend!

Torrey Pines Landscape Company look after our yard on a weekly basis and we are beyond satisfied with them. They are very professional but we have built up a personal relationship with them also. They really 'care' for our yard. We have also used TPLC for projects in our back yard over the past 8 years and have been very happy with their consistently great work. We recently started some drought tolerant work in our backyard and from beginning to end, the project ran smoothly. The work was carried out in a timely manner and came in below budget. The new area looks great and we are enjoying it. I could highly recommend this company and we look forward to working with them in the future.

The scope of the project included grass removal, plant, rocks and drip removal; new plants, construction of small wall, installation of imitation grass and install drip and electrical systems. WE had a hill that was eroding, a yard that was neglected, not updated and they corrected everything with the right plants in the right location. Torrey Pines Landscaping was wonderful to work with. We loved the design, installation crew was very knowledgeable, great attitude, everyone was very professional. The design created a dream landscape for us. The team as a whole was very professional, thorough and they stand behind their work. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone that has a landscaping project.

We hired Torrey Pines Landscaping for our design/build patio project in October of 2015. We worked with the owner, Harry Thompson, and we couldn't be happier with the experience and with the outcome of our beautiful patio. Harry is a true artist and has an impeccable eye for patio and landscape design. We love his design for our outdoor living space and whenever we wanted to add or change anything, it was never a problem. Harry and his crew were very attentive to our needs and wants, and they worked hard and efficiently. When we saw the quality of work TPL provided, we decided to do our front yard and as well, and we didn't have to be "rescheduled" for our late-project decision for a front yard design. We always received quick responses to questions and Harry was accomodating, approachable and available throughout the whole 4 month project. Not only is the hardscape top-notch, but the landscaping and plant selection is perfect for our yard. Harry knows just about every plant by its latin-name, and, thanks to his knowledge, we have some interesting and lovely shrubs, trees and flowers (I'm in love with the tibouchina and abutilon) that seem to be growing well, so far. The quality of the work is fabulous and the outcome simply stunning. I highly recommend Torrey Pines Landscaping if you want a high-quality project and experience, and most importantly, a beautifully designed outdoor living space.

Torrey Pines Landscape designed, installed and is maintaining all of the landscaping at our home. Our job included hardscape, reuse of existing materials, new irrigation, new lighting, soil preparation and new plantings. The irrigation and lighting are state of the art, saving natural resources and money. Harry Thompson studied the property and understood its microclimates and exposures and selected plants accordingly. We worked together to ensure that our project was exactly as we envisioned, the team even came at night to see the landscape and ensure that the lighting was perfect. The Torrey Pines crews were able to troubleshoot any and all issues which arose. Harry and his team are professional, knowledgeable, and courteous, they have earned our highest recommendation.

If you want creative people and excellent workmanship then these are the guys for you. We wanted an outdoor area that we could use year round. We got this and much more. The area TP built for us is absolutely beautiful and the craftsmanship second to none. We had a covered patio area built which has given us an additional room in our backyard. The whole team were professional and worked tirelessly until the job was done. I must admit I am a little on the fussy side but nothing was too much trouble or an effort for them to do. The creative team worked seamlessly with the team on site as well as with me and my husband. Dave and his crew were fabulous to work with and Doug and Harry are a creative force to reckoned with. We now use this area all the time and will, I am sure, for many years to come. We will be using them again for phase 2 of our backyard remodel which I look forward to with great anticipation.

Torrey Pines Landscape did an amazing job making my dream landscape come true! I met with Doug Dilworth the Landscape architect, and gave him my ideas. He made a beautiful plan for me and incorporated everything I asked him to. My goal was water wise and also lots of drama, beauty and color. Once they stared they never left. The team was here everyday until the job was complete and the crew were the best ever!. All very capable, talented, creative and considerate. They cleaned everything up everyday and my neighbors were in awe just watching it all come together. Being a corner home, it got lots of drive by attention, and the finished product was better than I had hoped. I almost hated to see them all leave. And yes, it was expensive but you do get what you paid for and they took care of everything. I would highly recommend this company for landscape design and construction.

Harry and his company turned my average looking yard into a wonderland. Originally I was only going to redo an unattractive side yard, but once it was finished it was so beautiful I decided to redo the back and the front, because they looked so plain in comparison. Now everywhere I look is wonderful.

We were very pleased with Torrey Pines Landscape. From the beginning of designing to the final product, the team we worked with was very professional. Doug worked with us in detail during the planning stage and was very open and flexible in making changes throughout the process. The team that was working at our home on a day to day basis was very respectful to us and to our neighbors and made sure that things were clean at the end of the day. Our project included designing a few "entertaining" areas including a fireplace and built in BBQ as well as a putting green area. From our first encounter with staff at Torrey Pines Landscape Co to the last work day we were extremely impressed with the knowledge, skills, work ethic, and willingness to work with us. Doug, the landscape architect, listened to us, recognized slight expressions of concern, and even came on the weekend to make changes in the plant selection as a result of our concerns. "We love walking by the front of your home" is what we hear almost every time we step out in front of our house in Point Loma, San Diego. This is thanks to Torrey Pines Landscaping, who from design to completion have been experts in the field of landscape design. Our contemporary design home was totally lacking in curb appeal due to our large slope front yard that was basically a mound of dirt with trees on it. Our consultation with Harry Thompson lead us to believe we were in great hands because of his understanding of both the hardscape design and the plantings that were necessary to give us the cohesive design within the budget that we allocated and give us the result we always wanted. TPL built terracing walls that elegantly carried the design of the home.Dave Telle and his crew showed up when promised and executed the design on time and with care and thoughtfulness, including waterproofing the walls for longevity. Lighting design for night viewing is awesome. The watering system functions perfectly. Even 10 months later, they have returned to follow up on small repairs; a mark of a great company who stands behind their work. The garden has grown in beautifully and we could not be more pleased.

Torrey Pines Landscape redesigned our garden in the front of our home and "tuned-up" our back yard in preparation for a wedding at our home. Torrey Pines was excellent to work with, they had wonderful ideas that reflected our home's architecture and they listened to our concerns and ideas. Torrey Pine's staff installed fountains, lighting, redid our sprinkler system, crafted beautiful brickwork, planted shrubs, flowers and trees that we love! AND everything was finished on time. After the wedding we hired Torrey Pines to maintain our landscape. They could not be better to work with. The crew trims hedges, maintains our lawn, addresses any pest or disease issues, mends sprinklers, plans water conservation, rotates annuals in the garden and keeps everything looking beautiful. WE have never been happier with the way our property looks, and we love spending time outdoors enjoying the beauty that Torrey Pines created for us!

Over the course of 4 months, Torrey Pines Landscape completely redesigned and redid the hardscape and landscape of our yard, as well as installed a basketball court. They also willingly coordinated with other vendors (fence and pool) who worked at our home during that time. Every person we worked with at TP Landscape was professional, knowledgeable, hardworking, and friendly. Doug, our landscape architect, and Dave, the project manager, were available whenever we called or texted, even on weekends. Juan, who led the work team, was very communicative and approachable. All of them proved to be excellent problem solvers when the inevitable glitches came up. The company worked diligently with us to stay on time and within budget, and best of all, made our backyard very beautiful! We look forward to working with Torrey Pine Landscape on future projects.

Outstanding performance from the superior artistic design skills of owner Harry Thompson, to the instillation by the experienced and skilled Torrey Pine staff, to completion of our landscape renovation in Coronado, CA. The superintendent and owner were always available night and day to address any questions our concerns that arose during the project. We would receive daily updates with email pictures and had regular meetings with Mr. Thompson to discuss any changes or additions. Our renovation was completed in a timely fashion and below budget. Mr. Thompson worked closely with the City to assure compliance with all codes/ordinances (not an easy task). Honest and trustworthy. Torrey Pines is the best of the best. The project was to supply landscaping for the area around a new pool. Torrey Pines (TPLC) was suggested by the pool contractor after an earlier recommended Landscaper proved too inflexible. TPLC provided a plan and was happy to make adjustment to meet our requirements. They were a joy to work with and worked well with the pool company as well. The results were so pleasing that I hired them to redo most of the rest of my landscaping which they did equally well.
