DECORI KITCHENS

Our Brooklyn Heights townhome suffered severe water damage due to a roof incident requiring a complete overhaul of our kitchen. Shai came to the rescue, guiding us from start to finish with the end result exceeding our high expectations. He takes so much pride in his work and expertly urged us to make decisions that have resulted in a timeless, beautiful kitchen that has added substantial value to our home. There are so many good things to say about Decori Kitchens, but let me try to name a few: 1) To start, Shai showed endless patience in reworking our kitchen design numerous times to incorporate feedback and ensure I was getting what I wanted. 2) As the project moved forward, he also went way above and beyond to make sure I had all the extra details covered, even though I didn't know I needed them ... beautiful cabinet insides, top-of-the-line pulls, custom coffee containers, LED counter lighting, quarter sewn wood panels, chrome outlet covers, and on and on. It is clear that Shai takes great pride in his work and wants clients to have the best (within budget). Honestly, no detail was too small for him to consider. 3) Shai was very organized, sending calendar invites for key dates, presenting his proposals beautifully, measuring and remeasuring and going the extra mile with updates such as videos to show me the cabinet making in process, etc. 4) Designing and installing a brand new kitchen from scratch requires so much coordination with numerous parties. I never felt alone in the process, since Shai was always responsive in checking on dates, keeping me updated, picking up my calls, advocating on my behalf when we encountered delays with appliances, fabrication, etc. I'll end this review by saying I was not the easiest client, which is probably an understatement. I was engaged in a massive renovation that I hadn't expected or wanted, and doubted many decisions. I am writing this review with the renovation in the rear view mirror and a much greater knowledge base that has helped me understand the quality and craftmanship and incredible eye for design that went into our kitchen. Through sheer perseverance and endless patience and talent, Shai now has a devoted client who is writing her first ever Houzz review :) I wish I could give Shai more than 5 stars!

When we started doing our research for the renovation of our kitchen, we looked at 3 designers/companies who all gave us different ideas and pricing. At the end, we chose Decori Kitchens!!! Shai is very professional and detailed oriented and that was one of the reasons why we chose him to design our kitchen. He made us feel very comfortable and also stayed on top of the task from start to finish, eventhough he was busy with other projects. Due to the pandemic, it took a while for us to receive our cabinets which is understandable, but Shai was able to get an earlier date for shipment. He assured us we would love our kitchen at the completion, and he was right!! We are IN LOVE with our kitchen and can't get enough of it. Shai ordered all the accessories for our kitchen and we are extremely happy with the end product. Our kitchen is fully customed, and could be featured in a magazine:-) Will definitely recommend him to prospective clients. Shai comes highly recommended! Shai is a pleasure to work with. If your project is detail oriented- rest assured that Shai will go above and beyond in your best interest. I take on a project every year. Right before the pandemic, I began construction of my home. With all the chaos and unfortunate circumstances, Shai made sure the project Kept moving forward. My family and I love the kitchen. I recommend Decori to anyone interested in creating a brand new space with tasteful detail in mind.

Decori Kitchens did a great job of making the most of a narrow room with openings on three sides. Shai has an excellent eye and helped me put together exactly what I wanted even though the look was more my taste than his. He worked well the general contractor and is a genuinely nice person, thoughtful at holidays, for example. I would work with Decori again.

We are so grateful to have found Shai’s Decori Kitchens. He helped us turn our terrible early 90’s dark, dingy and literally falling apart kitchen into a beautiful showpiece. Not just that but it was a great partnership where he let us choose the direction, and then he guided us smoothly to the destination, providing advice and guidance but never being pushy. No detail was too small for him to consider, and he gladly helped us reach a level of perfection I honestly never thought was possible. My only complaint is that I don’t think he does bathrooms, and my bathroom just seems disgusting now when compared w our beautiful kitchen. 10/10 would use again.

We could not be happier working with Shai. We did a complete remodel of our kitchen and had no real idea of what we wanted. Shai guided us through all the decisions and showed us unique features like “magic” corner cabinets that utilize that unreachable dead space in the very corners. We went through a number of iterations as Shai kept finding better ways to arrange things and rethought design elements. All beyond us but Shai was relentless to give us the best design. He also worked well with our contractor so everything was installed as he envisioned. He made on site changes when he saw something that didn’t install as he planned. You cannot ask for more. The entire remodeling project went better because of Shai. Oh, and he has a sense of humor.

I am extremely pleased with my gorgeous kitchen remodel. Shai of Decori Kitchens is knowledgable, talented, and precise with his designs. He works with top quality materials to give you the most beautiful cabinets with every fun/luxury option open to you (pull-outs, built-in organizers, etc.) He is familiar with every brand and style of kitchen item, from the hardware to countertop to tiles and can support you in making those choices as well. He is patient, understanding and extremely detail-oriented. He understands how tough decisions can be during this process and with his 3D rendering will give you a very good idea of how your project will look once completed. He is responsive in regards to communication throughout the process as well, returning every email and phone call promptly. It is for these reasons I give Decori Kitchens my highest recommendation.

We worked with Shai from Decori Kitchens starting in November 2017 on our kitchen renovation. From the first time we met him, we loved his energy and personality. We were first time renovators (and homeowners) and he was great at making sure we understood the steps of the process. He designed a beautiful kitchen for us, complete with custom cabinets, waterfall breakfast bar and coffee bar. Shai was very accommodating when we asked to see different samples than were immediately available in his showroom. Shai has a close relationship with the contractor we used, EMB Remodeling. He was able to coordinate all of the timelines and deliveries with them, so we did not have to stress about the details after the renovation began! I was 9 months pregnant at the time of the renovation and Shai was amazing at making sure the kitchen was completed before the baby was born. He’s checked up on us several times over the last 8 months to ensure the kitchen is still functioning as we envisioned and working for our new family! We loved working with Shai and would highly recommend him for anyone looking for a modern and functional kitchen renovation!

I live in an alcove studio in Midtown with a small kitchen, which can be quite difficult to design to maximise the space. Shai made this process incredibly easy and the results were fantastic. Every step of the way Shai was on top of everything and his response time and turnaround time are incredible. Every time I had a thought or adjustment during the design process, he would send something back almost within a few hours. And this was before I had even officially hired him! He takes such pride and care in his work and truly wants you to have the kitchen you want. He doesn't talk you into something that would be easier, he listened to every little aspect that I wanted and incorporated it into the design. He would drive to my apartment many times during the design process to measure and talk through minute details, and would also drive me to various design shops to look at different finishings for things like handles and countertops. You really couldn't ask for a better kitchen designer. With regards to the actual installation process, Shai was there on many occasions to make sure the contractors were keeping to his design and to help with any troubleshooting that naturally occurs. He had suggested EMB Home Improvement as a contractor and that was also a great suggestion as they were brilliant. I only have good things to say about Shai, and would be happy to provide a reference to anyone who wants one or to come look at my kitchen! Very happy!

Working with Decori was an absolutely wonderful experience. The first time Shai walked into our kitchen, I saw the sparkle in his eyes. In 10 minutes he drew a design on a piece of scrap paper. It was amazing. We got the digital rendering a few days later and I was blown away. Nothing is left out of the design. His sense of style is modern and beautiful, yet very sensible and practical. We highly recommend Decori to anyone looking to redo their kitchen.
