“Jeff Rutter is an extremely talented, creative and multi-faceted artist and craftsman. I met Jeff almost twenty years ago when he was introduced to me by the architect designing our master bathroom remodel. Since that time, Jeff has completed many artwork masterpieces in our home including several massive canvas paintings, faux finishes on our walls and ceilings, custom statues, and even designed and crafted furniture pieces including custom chairs and tables. Through the years, I have just shown him the space where I would like something created, given him paint and fabric samples from the room and said "create something spectacular." Within a week, he has sketched up a fabulous idea for that space which is completely spot-on to my taste. His creations are one of a kind and admired by everyone who visits our house. In addition, he has a great personality and is very easy to work with. You will not be disappointed!”
Amy Van Winkle, Artist

“Amy Van Winkle is no longer an emerging artist, she has clearly arrived and from the looks of it is here to stay. Long gone are her abecedarian days. To say as an artist she is evolving would be more aprops. She appears to master a medium and then abandon it. Encaustics, her latest obsession, is a true attessment to her brilliance and thus far my favourite. The dicotomous nature of her work is what makes it so compelling. The juxtaposition of neat and disarranged, complex yet uncomplicated, contemporary while primordial, it's minimalistic but not sterile. The refined rawness is what captivates you. Simplicity prevails but only after the depth unravels. Ms. Van Winkle’s work oozes freshness and originality while lending a pulse to any space it suffuses. Some of it reminiscnet of Jung’s masterpieces in his Liber Novus. If you’re lucky enough to see how she incorporates pigment and texture collaged onto canvas and wood put on your seat belt and enjoy the ride.”
