“We wanted our old bathroom redone, but done locally. We went to their shop first to check them out. I have a daughter(from Calgary) who was worried about being scammed. We are old folks. We met with Svetlana and that thought was immediately erased. They were accurate with timelines. Zoltan measured twice and would come back if he was unsure of something. Communication was excellent. The folks who did the work were experts -plumbing ,electrical demolition etc. We had a few hiccups but that happens in older homes. We now have a Cadillac bathroom in a Volkswagen house. I would highly recommend them for their craftsmanship, and their attention to detail and will not hesitate to use them again when we reno the kitchen.”

“I have been happily using Jeff Geard Carpentry for years as I slowly transformed my house from an abused broken down multiplex back to it's original single family historical dwelling. Jeff meticulously built my period appropriate front porch and managed to incorporate the strict bylaws required in Guelph for modern porches. I have a skylight in my porch roof that is not visable from the street but allows so much lovely light into my deep, comfy and historically accurate design. Never had a leak and have not had to do any maintenance other than paint - and that was 10 years ago! The porch immediately improved the street value of my home and made a massive difference to its overall appeal. Next hecompletely renovated my basement from a den of despair to an incredibly well laid out and mutlipurpose space - my kids love the basement now! It's dry, warm, pratical and has so many fun features (my daughter loves to hang out in the lit cubby under the stairs!) Having a functional basement is great because it gives me a bit more space on the amazingly restored main floor with open concept kitchen. It was quite a feat to work within the confirms of the space, but the result was incredible. All 5 of my family members can be in the kitchen and work together - it's beautifully harmonious and the workmanship was first class. The second floor was also totally redone by Jeff and his team so that I can now enjoy all the modern amenities of a en-suite bathroom while still holding onto the fundamental historical qualities of my home. “Tony was referred to me by our interior designer, Karen Wilson, to work on our century home. Projects Tony has completed for us include: 1. Master bedroom - removal of old drywall, Insulating, installing new drywall/taping/sanding , including trim work on a gothic window, arranging/monitoring subcontracting for electrical and foam insulation for the master bedroom.. 2. Installing new closet doors in 4 upstairs bedrooms and a linen closet (including custom shelving for the linen closet), together with new hardware, wooden trim and casings. Supplied and installed 2 passage sets. 3. Installed new mirrors in master bathroom. 4. Rebuilt 2 outdoor wooden steps. 5. Built my son a custom 5 square foot cage for his new pet, a Chinese water dragon. 6. Replaced rotten boards in a tongue-in-groove front deck. 7. Replaced hinges on 2 patio doors. 8. Tony recommended, sourced and installed 4 fiberglass posts for our back porch area. This reduces future maintenance costs of deteriorating wooden posts. Very practical recommendation! 9. Sourced and installed 3 steel posts with related concrete pad in basement to ensure proper support of wooden beams in basement. Tony will be replacing all of our upstairs windows this summer, and upgrading the insulation in part of the attic. Windows on the main floor will be replaced the following year. Tony previously worked for Ventrolux and is an experienced window installer. A few things you should know about Tony are: 1. That he is personable, trustworthy and professional. Jobs are completed in a reasonable period of time and done right the first time. 2. Tony is detail oriented and customer focused, wanting to ensure the job meets expectations. 4. I have never met a cleaner carpenter! Tony has done work for me since 2012 and will continue to be the person who will do all of my carpentry work. He deserves 6 stars! Robert Mustard”
