Let me preface this by saying that Chris and I went to high school together back in the 80's. That's not to say we hung out or anything, in fact we hardly knew each other, but I knew of him and knew him to be from a good family with integrity. I've known that Chris was in the home remodeling business for about the last ten years, and based on the photos he's posted on various social media and industry sites, along with his own website, I knew that when the time came, I wanted Chris on my project. I really like to support friends and local at every opportunity. The reviews I read lead me to believe that Chris would be the right choice. The question was, for what? My wife and I are never really afraid to jump into our own home improvement projects, replacing floor tile, upgrading a bathroom, rebuilding a deck or three, or residing parts of the house. But when she said she wanted to remove walls, upgrade the kitchen and replace some ugly LVT with hardwood, I knew we'd found the project for Chris. Chris has watched my wife and I do our own home improvement projects from my posts on Facebook and knew that we knew our way around a hammer and pry bar. My wife and I did the majority of the demo on the house - at least the interior work, and also did all the painting inside and out. This helped on cost control and also gave us a great deal of ownership in the project outside of just paying the bill. Chris would give us suggestions on how to handle certain situations or ask us to take care of certain tasks which would also help keep costs down. Working with a general contractor that gives the homeowner the free reign to do this is really a great way to save money and have some pride in the project. When we first started talking about the project, it didn't really seem all that major, but I knew it was more than I wanted to take on by myself. As on thing led to another, we found that the walls we wanted to remove were indeed structural and would require some significant reinforcing and some pretty serious creativity to get there. Enter Chris' engineer. The design he came up with instantly struck us as perfect for the house. Chris admitted this level of structural work was a bit more than half a step outside his wheelhouse. But like a true professional, he called on friends / associates in the industry for assistance and suggestions and made it happen. Like any construction project, this one was not without its share of hiccups; in fact there were more than any fair share, but again, Chris' professionalism and years of experience came through. Permit delays, cabinet delays, flooring delays, birds in the walls delays, surprise plumbing & electrical delays.... I could write on and on, but I only have 3000 characters for this review. Suffice to say, I would recommend AAI to anyone looking to take on a kitchen or bathroom remodel. Chris and Nicholas are true professionals and were true pleasure to work with.

Recently updated my kitchen. Chris did an amazing job modifying the cabinetry to accommodate my new cooktop and beautifully installed glass tile backsplash. He coordinated with electrical and stone countertop providers to ensure that the project went smoothly. All work was done on schedule and within budget. Highly recommend AAI.

Chris remodeled our kitchen 3 years ago, which was a major project which lasted over 6 weeks. Throughout the whole time he and his crew were very professional and met all unexpected set backs with patience and good humor. He is very attentive to detail and delivers the job whiteout cutting corners. He delivered on time and within budget. This time we rehired him for a bathroom remodel in a small and challenging space of a 70 year old bathroom. Once again overcoming all challenges he and Nick did an excellent job and we are extremely happy.

This family team is great to work with! From their project planning help, to the follow up and updates, to actually doing the work on time and in budget. They get my highest recommendation for your home improvement project.

We have been very happy with AAI. Our designer Diane Plesset recommended him and we are glad she did. Chris is a talented and skilled contractor. He came up with several design ideas that were perfect for our area and also cost saving. He wants to get the job done right and values keeping on the schedule he submits. He pays attention to detail and follows up on all loose ends. On his team Nick is a good listener and brings a nice balance to a focus on getting the job done. Renae, in the office, keeps coordination on track. Our kitchen is lovely and we are delighted with the result. Would definitely use again.

We met Chris when the other guy suddenly bailed, and Chris was asked to jump in and save the day. What a lucky break for us. He was great from first contact through finished job, and we couldn't be any happier with our experience. Our project was somewhat challenging because of significant wall damage and an expensive glass tile. CHris and Nick handled every step perfectly.

One butt to four butt kitchen which involved custom cabinets, huge island and all new lighting. Great service all the way through. Prompt callbacks, on time, on budget and cleaned up after themselves. I recommend this company to anyone with complex updates to make to their home.

We were very impressed with Chris and his team from day one. The estimate was competitive and well detailed. They gave us a time line of 6 weeks, which they stuck to from day one and finished on time. Chris is a man of great integrity and honesty. He is a professional with great attention to detail. We had a good working relationship with Chris and Jesse and Alex. The orchestration of sub contractors was handled very efficiently and was well supervised.

Chris and his team at AAI were great to work with. Alex (Designs by Alexandra) did an awesome job designing the new space using 3D renderings. She was very helpful and patient at each step of the process; design iterations, surface materials selection, appliances, hardware, and colors. AAI’s subcontractors were professional and competent. They all willingly provided feedback to question/concerns and offered various solutions. Chis was supportive of unanticipated changes and made sure we were satisfied with the final result. We hired AAI in January of 2018 to put in a CORETEC Floor in our 2200 square foot house. Chris Loar was professional, prompt, and personable throughout the installation process. Jesse, his assistant, was hardworking and instrumental in our decision to add a second project which will begin March 5th. Having never worked with a product that had pieces that were "so long," could have been problematic. The excellent way in which there was NO WASTE of materials was amazing.

AAI did an amazing job converting my garage to a lovely kitchen, the existing kitchen to a laundry room/bathroom, and built a wrap around porch/deck cove that spans the width of my backyard. The job took about two months, and was completed on schedule. The team was great to work with, and made themselves available to answer questions at all hours. AAI provided a fabulous experience for what was one of the largest of my experiences as a homeowner.
