Hello Ed, The floors are the original fir (wood) floors from the 1950's. They had been stained a dark color. We removed several walls in this house and were able to weave in new flooring to match the existing. We then sanded it all down to the natural beauty of the wood and refinished them a lighter color to give the house a lighter more modern feel.
