We hired the company for a major renovation of our home, where all aspects of the house were updated, change and improved; from adding square footage ,, new roof, new siding, new AC, the dimensions of three rooms and two bathrooms changed and extended. The plumbing and electrical system updated. All the work was well supervised as they kept us update weekly with a software called Jobtread, making the decisions easier and less stressful. Finally all inspections of the city of Webster Grove MO , were passed after rigorous expectations. We finally are enjoying our moving back to our amazing new home and being with our children and grandchildren. We strongly recommend this company. Best of wishes to all who worked in our dream home.

In our opinion, overall, Hamtil is the best remodeler in town. This is based on having used Hamtil for multiple projects and having used other well-known STL remodeling firms. Hamtil just completed an amazing bathroom transformation/expansion for us. A large remodeling project, while exciting at first, will become tiring / stressful but if you don’t choose the right firm, it can easily become a living nightmare. Paul and Dave (and their employees and subcontractors) know this, and that is why being customer-centric is an important tenet of their firm. You always know the “who, what, when, where, why, and how” of the project. Hamtil shines on all fronts: design, execution, craftsmanship, trust, and customer service.

We had an amazing experience working with Hamtil Construction. We couldn’t be happier with the beauty and craftsmanship displayed in our finished project. We started talking to Hamtil in 2019, but due some personal dynamics in our lives, as well as a global pandemic, we pushed our project until March 2021. By then, what started as redoing our master bathroom, turned into completely redoing three bathrooms and all the flooring on our second floor. We lived with these guys for three months; bless their hearts. I would say, in addition to the high-quality product you end up with, the reasons you should use Hamtil Construction for your project fall in three categories: communication, conscientiousness, and crews. They are amazing communicators and keep you updated with their schedule and who will be in your house on a regular basis. They ask for your feedback along the way, and they were very patient with all the "dumb" questions we asked. They were very conscientious in trying to keep a very messy project clean and the least intrusive for us as we lived in the house, though in the basement, during the project. Their crews are amazing and are very dedicated to getting the project done to your satisfaction and to a very high standard. I have to call out these folks. We started with “Passionate Paul” who wants you to have the project you want, and know what that all entails to do it right, while keeping in mind the details. How many times can we talk about robe hooks and light fixtures? Then we met “Kreative Kerry” from Youtopia Design, whose design skills were amazing. She gave us wonderful choices that made the project uniquely ours. Then we met “Steadfast Stephen”, who, though super quiet, was everywhere and just got stuff done. We had “Diligent Dominic”, our electrician, who was just nose to the grindstone in installing so many lights and smoke detectors. We had “Jammin’ Jesse” the tile guy for six weeks. He is a true artist and got us all channeling his love for music. “Sweet Sam”, our other tile artist, also did tile work for us during that time. (Because we had a lot of tile to install.) We also got to work with “Charming Connor”, who we didn’t see a lot, but he patiently listened to me go on and on about robe hook and towel hook placement options. Then there was “Butter Pecan Brent”. Brent did it all on our project and put up with us the most. He was our 5% guy who got the project over the finish line and kept us all friends in the process. (He also taught me where I should be charging my phone.) And last, but certainly not least, is the “Dynamic Dave Hamtil”. He was everywhere, from overseeing all the crews, vendors, and suppliers, to providing client, and marriage counseling to us on the side. Thanks to all you guys for our amazing project! Hamtil Construction just completed a total renovation of our small Master bath. We couldn't be more satisfied with both the look of our new bath as well as the quality of craftsmanship in every aspect of the job. The Hamtil team was excellent and treated our house with respect which made very little cleanup. They were meticulous in every detail and kept on schedule. When they were supposed to show up, they did. Paul Hamitl was very helpful in offering ideas and especially helpful when we needed to choose a different toilet in order to pass the county inspection. Our new corner toilet makes the bathroom look bigger and roomier. We don't bump our knees on the wall. We originally just wanted to replace the tile floor, replace the toilet and retile some of the walls. Once we got started, we just decided to go for the total renovation and we are so glad! Paul suggested we could remove a small wall by the old vanity which enabled us to install a larger vanity and our new glass shower door gives the bathroom an open feeling. The bathroom looks amazing. If we ever decide to do any other home projects, Hamtil Construction is the only company we would call.

The collaboration and communication from our first initial design meeting through construction comes with ease. We highly recommend them for all of your residential project needs whether is is a full home remodel, house addition or brand new kitchen; Hamtil Construction will surpass your expectations.

I could not be happier with the kitchen remodel done by Hamtil. Their workers were courteous and concerned that I was happy with every step of the process. They cleaned up and vacuumed every night. They also finished on time. I broke my shoulder the last week of the remodel and was unable to unpack boxes and put things away in my new kitchen. Paul and Dave, the owners, offered to come over in the evening to help me unpack and furnish my kitchen! I would give more stars if possible and highly recommend Hamtil Construction for any project you have.

I can’t say enough about this amazing company! We were having a hard time pulling the trigger on a large remodel project. I am so, so happy that we found Hamtil Construction. From Paul’s calm, professional guidance to Dave’s detailed site management, we encountered NONE of the horror stories that you tend to hear about when dealing with construction. We made the decision to live on the second floor of our house while they remodeled the first floor. Everyone that we encountered that was associated with Hamtil Construction was professional and always went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, not inconvenienced and informed of the daily plans. They even made sure our dog was OK and never had to deal with too much dust! The project was completed ahead of schedule and the final product exceeded our expectations to the point that I am amazed daily with how beautiful everything turned out! We highly recommend Hamtil Construction and now think of them as family.

I am really disappointed. I had someone from Hamtil, Paul I believe, come out and take a look at our bathrooms and kitchen, which are in great need of an update. He was really nice, professional, on time. He said he would take everything we talked about and call us back. We never heard back. I waited about 6 weeks, not knowing how long it takes to make up plans, and finally called and emailed them. Again, I never heard back. We have a $50k + bathroom remodel we need done, so I'm not sure what the problem was. Most likely, we probably got lost in all their clients, but I have a problem with them not getting back to us, no matter how busy they are, even after I tried to contact them again. I'm sad, because their work looked amazing and I really wanted them to do our kitchen and bathrooms. I bet they're awesome... if you can get them to get back to you.

4.5 stars Hamtil completed 2nd floor hall bathroom for us. The only con is that they were fairly slow providing a quote and communication was not ideal prior to us signing. But afterwards, all emails/texts were responded to very promptly and clearly. They completed job on time. They were respectful of our budget. They provided options but were not pushy. They kept our home clean and equipment out of the way. They followed up after the project was complete.

Hamtil Construction is an exceptional company - from top to bottom and start to finish. They met all the expectations they set - they do what they say and do it when they say they will do it. They thoroughly reviewed my project with all the subcontractors before submitting a bid and then reviewed and explained what would need to be done in order to meet the goals of our project.

We wanted to add a sun-room to our existing house, as well as to redo our patio, which was over 20 years old and crumbling. We heard about Hamtil Construction and did "due diligence" by calling nearly a dozen previous clients of theirs. To a person, they all raved about Hamtil Construction, about the careful attention to detail, the extreme professionalism, the cleanliness of the work-crew and the work areas, and the "great guys" who worked for them. Above all, we were told that there were "no surprises." All of this was true. Paul Hamtil worked with us to design the room with an architect with whom they had worked many times before. We looked over numerous sketches and plans multiple times. The work was carefully planned and a timeline outlined which was adhered to. Any changes or possible deviations or complications were always explained to us in advance and we signed off on them before proceeding. Dave Hamtil oversaw the construction. He was on-site every day. The crew was clean, polite, professional, considerate, and hardworking. They cleaned up the work area every day in meticulous fashion. The craftsmanship of their work was superb. We had numerous conversations with subcontractors involved and they all raved about how much the liked working with Hamtil because of their high standards, professionalism, and the way the treated their employees/contractors. This project was a pleasure--something that I would say is rare to hear if you have worked with contractors. The final result was stunning. We live in this new room and are absolutely delighted. If there has ever been the slightest problem, the Hamtils were responsive, engaged, and rectified the situation immediately. I'm very impressed. If you want the job done right, to the highest standards, with professional attitudes, openness, honesty, transparency, and on a reliable time-line and on-budget, Hamtil Construction is the way to go. We would definitely hire them again if we were considering another renovation project.

I love my new master bathroom! I smile every time I walk in!!! They made everything I wanted happen! The workers were very respectful of my house and family! They even helped keep track of my pets! I would highly recommend Hamtil's construction to everyone!!!
