Roof Over Head Developments

We purchased a semi (Ottawa) built in 2015 by Roof Over Head Inc. from the original owner in July 2023. We found the quality of the building substandard. When we tried to replace a bathroom fixture part due to normal wear and tear, Home Depot told us it was too old and no longer in inventory so the whole tap and drain fixture had to be changed. The windows were of the worst quality and installation. One of the bedroom windows actually has a bow in it. That room is 30C with the AC on in the house. Three different reputable local window installers assessed the window to have failed, argon gas escaped which lead to the solar heat gain inside. The glazing stops were cut so incorrectly that resulted in a 15mm size hole which can look through to the outer pane of glass. After a particularly severe thunderstorm, water came in through that opening too. There's a corner crack in the outer frame of the living room window. Our next door (semi) neighbour bought their unit a Nov. 2021 and had the same problem with heat gain in the bedrooms that they decided to change all the windows throughout their house. The banister stain was probably finished with a gel type varnish and has formed a tacky gummy layer. I will be sanding it all down to refinish it later. All the finishes and fixtures in the house seem like they were purchased from a builder's clearance centre. Even the bathroom towel rack and tp holder appear to have been sourced from the low budget catalog. The Master Ensuite does not even have a towel bar or tp holder. The deck off the rear patio door was built on deck blocks on sand. The sand has subsided in one corner nearest the house and so that post is actually unsupported. It should have been built on a proper foundation to frost depth as per the City's requirements. We haven't even looked at the roof yet. They'll be next year's surprise. Very disappointed.

Frank built us our custom bungalow in Greely this past year. He finished the house in the exact time frame he said it would take. He kept us informed on every detail regarding selections and scheduling. Everything went really smooth throughout the entire build. I would recommend Roof Over Head to anyone. Frank was always available to answer questions and we would meet or talk daily to asses and ensure timelines are being met. Meetings were scheduled with all the trades ahead of time to order fixtures, plumbing, trim, floors, etc..such that by the time the trades were ready to work all items were available preventing any delays. We were amazed at how smooth this all went. They literally build as if they were building a home for themselves. The quality and professionalism of RoofOverHead and all the trades involved far exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much for making this a wonderful and stress free experience.

We first noticed 124 Buell in the earliest days of its construction, as we passed it daily while walking the dog at Hampton Park. Immediately we realized how different it was--the "centre hall" plan, the walls of windows, the intelligent footprint. Before long we were tramping around in hardhats and examining plans. The layout was superb, employing a sophisticated use of space that would permit us to downsize from 3200 sq feet to 2000 sq feet with no sacrifice. And that has proved to be the case. After two weeks, we love everything about this house, including its finishes. We are quite convinced that we bought the best new infill in Westboro, regardless of price. Well done, guys.

I recently bought a semi-detached from this company and have been nothing but impressed by not only the modern gorgeous house I bought but also by the courteous, fast and helpful support from the builder. The house is ultra-modern with designer finishes and fixtures -no cookie cutter cheap trimmings. There have been virtually no issues with the new house and despite that, the few minor concerns were addressed immediately and to my full satisfaction. I would highly recommend this builder as I have purchased three new builds in the past and I can honestly say most builders, once they have sold you the house have no interest in providing you any service or support -This company is different. They stand by the work and do everything they can to ensure my complete satisfaction!

We bought the house 2 months ago, and we are so happy about this decision. Every time we return to home, we feel we love the house more and more, it brings us so much "home" feeling. Have recently purchased a house from Roof Over Head Developments (Anthony and Frank). Cannot speak highly enough of these guys. We were involved in the selection of the interior finishes from day one, enabling us to complete the house exactly how we wanted it. Meeting with Frank on a weekly basis enabled us to see the house progressing and make "just in time" decisions. Their attention to fine details and going that extra step sets them apart from cookie cutter developers. The development was completed on time and with very high quality.
