About Us

Sparkus Construction Ltd. is an experienced general contractor operating primarily in Manitoba since 1984. It is owned and operated by Michael Kuzyk. Early on Mike made a decision to keep the company small. This makes it easier to maintain quality workmanship and very personalized service. Most people will do a major renovation to their home, only a few times in their lives. It is a very disruptive activity. Between strangers in your home, the noise, the dust…it can be very stressful. This is where Mike's almost 30 years of experience can help. By keeping the project running smoothly while constantly keeping the customer informed, he has gained a reputation as someone people refer to their friends.

We hired Sparkus Construction to paint our main floor/upper hallway, and to convert our wood-burning fireplace to gas. The paint looks great and we've had many compliments on the workmanship. The fireplace went really smoothly, along with the brick repair and the hearth build - couldn't be happier with the results! Mike and Cale are wonderful to work with - always returning phone calls, keeping the time-lines on track and making our ideas come to life! We highly recommend Sparkus and we look forward to using them again for any future renos. Carolyn & Tom

We hired Sparkus Construction to redo the only bathroom in the house. The room had to be taken down to the studs and rebuilt. They installed the tub and surround, vanity sink, toilet, towel bar and flooring. Since this was our only bathroom, they did a very good job of minimizing the interruption. Mike from Sparkus did a great job scheduling the materials and labor, and worked within our budget. All of the contractors were friendly, respectful, knowledgeable, and never left a mess for us to clean up. We were extremely happy with their work, and will definitely call them for our next project.
