“We heard about PHS through a friend at church. We were pleasantly surprised that our first contact with PHS was a sit down meeting with Mark, the Director of Operations. He took the time to explain how PHS works with their clients, setting a time frame for our project and introducing us to their staff, who would be working in our home. We next met with the Design Team, Steph and Sara, to do a walkthrough and understand what our goals, style and expectations were. From that, they presented us with drawings for our approval. We fine-tuned a few details, and a date was set for our project to begin. Throughout the project, we had consistent communication with Mark and his staff. Any questions, concerns, or clarifications that needed to be dealt with were only a phone call or e-mail away. On the first day of the project, we were introduced to our foreman, Alix, who started right in with the demo and receiving new materials for the job. At the end of each day, the jobsite was left clean and organized. Each morning, Alix arrived on time and was eager to explain what the next steps were going to be. On several occasions, we collaborated on solutions to particular details, and Alix came up with many creative solutions for us. Alix also arranged for licenced subtrades to come in to perform specific work, all the while continuing with the many details to keep the project moving. Sara, one of the designers, stopped by regularly to review the progress, and was quick to resolve any supply issues that need to be dealt with. As the project proceeded, detailed, progressive biliings came through that kept us up to date and on track. In the end, our project was completed ahead of schedule, AND on budget! The finished rec room is clean, bright and looks much larger than when we started. We would have no hesitation to recommend PHS with your reno dreams and are looking forward to working with Mark and his crew on our next one!”

“So grateful and thankful Rempel Builders was available to do our project. Ivan and crew was able to save us from our despair and got the project done in a timely manner. Our renovation consisted of updating main floor including kitchen, one full bath, flooring throughout, demo wood fireplace and reframing into double closet, widening a non-load bearing doorway, abatement, refinish ceiling, all new trim, doors and paint throughout and probably more... Communication, punctuality, quality work and friendliness, all very good. Trades people and reps from companies that materials were sourced from were mostly pleasant to deal with. As for costs, we felt it was a fair price. We splurged where we wanted to and saved where we could. We did not require design services. They pulled permits in a calculated, timely manner and dealt with inspections without major delay. Their follow ups within one year of project completion also made us feel respected. Contract is very clear and concise. And yes they finish the job. Thanks to all that worked on our home especially John, Kevin and Derek. We still have our basement to do and would work with Rempel Builders again.”
