Doreen's attention to detail is amazing. She thinks of things I would have never thought of, large and small. Most importantly, her experience and skills with knowing spatial dimensions, feel, looks and just knowing how things work make the process so much more enjoyable. These qualities also gave me such a great "peace" of mind when it came to making decisions about type of materials, finishes, hardware, etc.. Doreen was also available 24/7 - this caught me off guard at first as I didn't expect this. Doreen would meet me at work, my neighborhood, where ever and when ever to fit my schedule. Just amazing.

I hired DSO designs to redesign three 70's bathrooms including a master bathroom. Doreen helped me choose all the materials and then created an incredible design for each one. All bathrooms were similar; yet different in design. Doreen is incredible to work with. She is always available and detailed, and was always available to trouble shoot anything that came up in the construction phase. My longtime contractor commented that "Doreen was the most thorough designer he has worked with." My bathrooms are beautiful!! I will continue to work with Doreen for all my interior design needs. She is the BEST!

I am not a designer and needed a lot of guidance on my remodel. I had a kitchen remodel along with two bathrooms. Doreen was there with me the entire time. The kitchen was reconfigured and Direen made drawings for me and we discussed in detail how things would look. She offered about three different designs that would work well in the kitchen area. The bathrooms were much easier to design but she made sure I got what I wanted. Again, designs were offered on paper so I would be sure I knew what to expect with no surprises. We went through design and colors. She made sure it was what I wanted and not what she wanted! But she made sure things would look right. Doreen is very professional and will get the job done! She went above and beyond my expectations. She has the ability to tackle any problems to make sure the job runs smoothly for you. She does A+ work!

Doreen Owens, of DSO Designs, provided detailed plans and drawings for our home renovation project. She also provided us with product samples, internet sites, and accompanied us to showrooms and interior design product venders. She was helpful with contractors and installers, overseeing every step of the project and guaranteeing our complete satisfaction. We hired Doreen Owens to remodel the kitchen and one full bath at our beachfront condominium. Working with Doreen was truly a pleasure. The remodel project ran smoothly from start to finish, thanks to Doreen’s exceptional organizational skills, ability to work efficiently, attention to detail, and overall professionalism: -Floor plans, elevation drawings, and tile layouts were clear and very precise, leaving no guesswork for the contractors. -All products were on site and personally inspected well in advance of the installation schedule. A “spec book” was provided detailing all products and included warranties and care directions. -Her network of suppliers provided excellent, prompt, and courteous service and the few replacement requests were expedited. -She was readily available during the construction phase and established a great rapport with my contractor and his crew. Plumbing constraints within the building derailed our original plan for the location of a stacked washer/dryer unit and we were a bit dejected. Doreen accepted this as a challenge. Switching to a new “combo” unit, Doreen took the time to consult with the product manufacturer, reexamine the space under consideration, and design a most pleasing solution, complete with concealed access to water shut-off values. We were very impressed with her technical abilities to make it all work to code, without compromising style. In fact, with the combo washer/dryer and a European style extra narrow refrigerator, Doreen succeeded in almost doubling the storage space and creating large, useful countertop areas in the kitchen. The process of selecting a color scheme and coordinating tile, cabinetry, lighting and fixtures was certainly daunting at first. Here again, Doreen’s assistance, enthusiasm and artistic talents were invaluable. There were several joint shopping trips, but we also worked independently. It was exciting to share our daily finds with one another, discuss the pros and cons, and eventually add another beautiful piece to the puzzle. What started out as a simple “tear out and replace” project, resulted in an awesome transformation of our kitchen and bathroom spaces, leading many to believe we remodeled the entire unit. Without a doubt, we highly recommend Doreen Owens.

We are completely delighted with our renovation by DSO designs. We had never remodeled before and Doreen worked with us as a team to discover and articulate our personal style. She and the contractor worked together seamlessly and Doreen provided detailed plans in 3-D, so that we could visualize each step as we moved toward the finished project. Doreen shared her creativity and experience with gentle suggestions about materials, lighting, furniture, and decorating. She shopped tirelessly for the perfect fabric, tile, or fixture that would bring everything together. We wound up with an open, functional living space that expresses our lifestyle with infinitely more good taste than we could ever have done. Doreen was more than a designer, she became a friend, who made us feel that ours was the most important project she ever undertook. We got so much more than we paid for! We are looking forward to having her back to renovate our downstairs next year.

Doreen was undoubtedly the most important person in the successful design and remodeling of our master bathroom. She worked closely with us on the design and developed the drawings, materials lists and project scope of work so the contractors could provide realistic cost estimates and the project schedule. In addition, Doreen has an extensive knowledge and resource base of proven materials, products, suppliers and contractor's that take the project from design to construction. Her attention to detail throughout the project was invaluable. But as important as her technical skills are her positive attitude and ability to work with us and everyone else involved in the project resulted in a wonderful finished product that was on time and on budget. The best compliment I gave her was to hire her immediately to help us on remodeling our guest bathroom. Well done.

We hired DSO Designs to redesign our master bathroom and upstairs hall bathroom. Our master bathroom had not been updated since it was built in 1985. It was spacious, but the shower was tiny and stuffed in a small room with the toilet. Doreen Owens came up with a phenomenal design that allowed us to open up the shower, while still maintaining a large tub and dual-sink vanity area. With the patience of a saint, she also helped us select all of the materials to create the luxurious environment we desired while staying within our budget constraints. Our hall bathroom did not require structural change, but here again, Doreen helped us choose just the right materials to create a classic yet contemporary look for our teenage son and daughter. Once she created the designs and helped us select all of the materials, she worked with our contractor through project completion to ensure that everything went according to plan. Doreen offered knowledgeable, practical advice; was always on time; and quickly responded to any of our questions or concerns. She was a pleasure to work with throughout the process and we couldn't recommend her more highly.
