John and his team have, over the years, upgraded our outdated kitchen, formerly unusable basement, deck, and bathroom. Their creative designs and quality work will enable us to age in place right here in our neighborhood.

We've done three projects with Sylvestre, beginning in 2008, then 2018 and 2020. Our neighbor recommended them saying, "They will not be the least expensive, nut they do excellent work and no one is better organized." She was spot on. Their work is exceptional, communication outstanding. They discovered rotten footings in our then 86 year old basement. Communicated quickly and clearly. We chose Sylvestre Construction to remodel our basement a few years ago and hired them again to redo our kitchen and dining room this year. Awesome job of retaining the character of our 1920s SW Minneapolis home while making some modern updates. The whole team is wonderful to work with from start to finish. Our townhouse remodel in Minnetonka is finished! It’s beautiful and we’re enjoying it immensely. Sylvestre Construction did an amazing job. The project was on time and on budget. Best of all, most of the work was done while we were in Florida for the winter, so we avoided the mess of construction. The house has an open floor plan now with all the essential living space on one floor. It's perfect for us and Moxie the dog. There’s a new kitchen, three new baths, and hardwood floors. We hired Sylvestre to remodel the attic in our 1.5 story bungalow, and had outstanding experience. The entire team was professional, responsive, and frankly just really damned good at what they do. Sylvestre has done one major remodeling project for me (kitchen addition) and a few minor ones. I live in a 1924 bungalow and nothing is simple. He added six feet to the kitchen and it looks original. The old fashioned detailing i.e. Bead board under the eaves, matching stucco, textured cinder block and more make all the difference. I do not have a "hunk of addition." My neighbors don't remember how it was. when I called I said I wanted a new kitchen that looks old and I'm still delighted eleven years later. He's done several small projects for me including one just last year. These people are fabulous.
