Kathleen was wonderful to work with. She was very informative and knowledgeable and always knew the answer to any question I asked. If she didn't have the answer, she was quick with her research. Kathleen designed an efficient and beautiful kitchen for our very small 1919 bungalow. Working within the confines of the existing galley, she gave us much more workable counter space with great lighting. The quality of her lighting and surfacing ideas makes the room look like a jewel box in the middle of the house! Before the remodel it was a dark, awkward space. Design details, like the hutch, nicely integrate the room with the character of rest of the house. Thanks to her knowledge and experience of materials, Kathleen was able to incorporate many of our own ideas into the plan while tactfully saving us from those we would undoubtedly come to regret. She knows her job!

Kathleen has been our designer, collaborator, advocate and friend throughout our master bath, stone fireplace, and front entry stonework remodeling project. We were impressed and felt an immediate connection when we first met Kathleen at one of Neil Kelly’s workshops. From there we set up an appointment for the following week at our home where she got a feel of what we liked and wanted along with an understanding of the scope of the project we had in mind. Over the next several weeks we continued to meet either at her office, at our home, or at a local business showroom. Each appointment brought us closer to our remodel goals. After getting to know us and our preferences, Kathleen prepared initial drawings for consideration. At each subsequent meeting she would take our input and modify plans for review for the next time as she brought us closer to the final agreement of what the project would encompass for both budget and design. Throughout the project she worked closely with us on colors and material selections. She brought product samples and catalogs to our meetings to narrow down what we wanted, and considered including products that we found along the way. We felt that throughout the project she was committed to listening to our vision and input while providing her professional expertise and experience to come up with an intricate plan. We found Kathleen to be creative, friendly, responsive, and an intuitive professional. There were times for problem solving along the way throughout the process and it all was handled well with the support of Kathleen. Our end project is beautiful and we are very pleased with it. We enjoyed working with Kathleen and appreciated her positive “can do” attitude from start to finish. We would not hesitate to hire Kathleen again for any future project.

Neil Kelly is very lucky to have Kathleen Donohue in their employ. She is a gifted designer and planner. But most of all she seems to have the uncanny ability to read people...just after one visit to our home she returned with samples for tile, flooring, cabinets, counter top, paint and sink styles/colors. Unbelievably, we only changed the color of the sink. We are enjoying our beautiful and efficiently laid out kitchen and absolutely love all her detailed touches. In addition, Kathleen is easy to work with, quickly responding to our questions/concerns and often went out of her way to help resolve any issues during the development and building stages...right to the final inspection (and even beyond). Kathleen did the design work for a major kitchen/bathroom remodel. From the beginning she was able to hone in on what would work best for me. She guided me through the design decisions, reducing an overwhelming number of choices to a manageable number that were appealing to me and within my budget. Her knowledge of the various products (e.g. Sinks, tile, cabinets) allowed me to choose wisely. It was obvious she had excellent relationships with the vendors when we were out shopping together. My kitchen is both beautiful and functional. One year later I would not change anything about it!

When you walk into a room that Kathleen has designed the impact is immediate: Serene and beautiful. Relaxation followed by awe. Everything belongs. Everything complements each other. Everything together does make the room better than the sum of its parts. The rooms are comfortably sized. Kathleen's designs are not trendy. Rather, she has a keenly developed sense of how to pull ideas and materials together that go beyond a current trend into a timeless composition. Kathleen and I have worked on several residential remodel projects together. She was responsible for the interior design and installation of the kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living rooms. she is a pleasure to work with. The homeowners are exceptionally happy with her creations, response to their requirements, scheduling, and coordination with other contractors.
