Pickard Design Studio

We recently worked with Sarah Pickard of Pickard Design Studio to renovate our master bath and she did a fabulous job! From our initial meeting, we could see that she had an eye for how to make our project special and how to give us the spa-like bathroom we were hoping for. She and her team were a pleasure to work with and we were always amazed at the materials and design features that she put together and how great they looked. The bathroom was completed a few months ago and we absolutely love it! She took an 80s choppy layout and thought outside the box and made it into our dream. I truly feel like I have walked into a spa every time I walk into the master bath!

Sarah worked on my kitchen remodel. My kitchen went from late 60s/early 80s blah to AMAZING. She does incredible work and has a very high work ethic along with a terrific understanding of style and colors. I highly recommend Sarah for any interior design work.

Sarah is awesome to work with she listened to what our needs where and went outside of the box, her crew of painters, plumbers, and painters where awesome and picked up after themselves also where respectful of us as well. Living in the UK and having a USA based interior design team could be quite a daunting prospect but Sarah and her team at Pickard Design Studio were highly innovative in their use of modern communications technology. Their proven track record of hands on design and execution of projects far more demanding than ours was a great comfort when working at such a distance. We used email and Facebook Messenger to exchange initial ideas and then Apple Facetime for live and realtime inspections of our home. and the work as it progressed. This way Sarah and her team were able to fully appreciate the space we were working in and advise on colour schemes and layouts to fit with the furniture and wall paper pattern choices we were considering. Sarah was able to email us colour swatches and explain and discuss ideas for putting colours to best use and we were also able to show her the paint colour ranges and schemes available to us here in the UK. Sarah advised us on curtain (drape) patterns and made suggestions for edging colours and fabrics. Being able to show her photographs of actual fabric patterns for both curtains and furniture and get fast feed back made the purchase process for everything so much simpler for us. The whole process was flawless and the 5000 mile distance between our home (the work site) and Sarah and her design team just disappeared. Of course the final execution of the work was down to us but almost every aspect of the interior design was produced, modified or influenced by Sarah and her team at Pickard Design Studio. We would not have achieved half the result we did without them, and their expertise and professionalism was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and it was as if the 6 hour time difference was non existent.

Pickard Design Studio handled an extensive redesign/repair after major water damage. Sarah and her design team listened to my concerns and presented a plan which gave me a beautiful AND functional kitchen. This redesign incorporated moving water lines from interior wall to exterior wall, new ceiling and light design,new pantry, relocating new appliances,extensive support for a 210gal aquarium,a pet feeding station and dining area. Sarah supervised all aspects from design, contractor hire, appliance selection,demolition, construction to final staging. Comprehensive planning and good communication resulted in this project coming in on schedule and on budget.

I have worked with Sarah on several projects and she's one of the best designers out there. Her work is new, fresh and extraordinarily creative. Her office is warm and inviting and she employs equally smart, talented, creative women in her firm. I've known her for almost 20 years and I've seen so much of her work both in hospitality and residential. I highly recommend Pickard Design Studio as their work is unsurpassed.

Sarah runs a first class organization. Sarah and her team are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I recently moved into an empty urban loft, with no furniture and only a vague idea of what I wanted. With Sarah's help, the space was transformed into the perfect mid century modern bachelor pad. She helped me stay within my budget, and achieve all of my goals for my new loft. The finished product was better than I could have imagined. I highly recommend Sarah for any design project.
