We are designing our own dream home and hired Susan for a design consultation. Without a doubt Susan exceeded our expectations. Susan Berry designed historically sensitive elevations for our new 800 square foot wrap around master suite addition to our 1800’s Kentucky Colonial farmhouse. We never met Susan in person. All drawings, photos and communication were by phone and e-mail. Susan re-designed our space plan to create Classical symmetry, timeless looking rooms and aging-in-place comfort. She placed furnishings for optimal comfort, style and sizes. Her hand drawn details for the walls and wine bar are truly an “old school” work of art. Susan Berry was always available to answer any of our questions and offered cost effective advice on draperies, details and finishes. I highly recommend her for your historical remodeling project.

I have a 1950s home in need of an exterior update. Susan Berry provided a consultation on paint selection, lighting, driveway materials and outdoor shutters. She was very easy to communicate with, in fact we exchanged emails (pictures) which allowed her to get a sense of the direction I'm headed. I found her to be very knowledgable on the architecture of my home which allowed for easy decision making on my final choices. I plan to hire her again for my next project!

Susan's expertise not just from the design perspective ability but her deep understanding from the start of communication for anyone that is either in preparing for life's changes of aging in your home, but ADA disabilities changes and needs. I have a Craftsman style home, and contacted Classical Home Design for advise on changes to the facade. The suggestions made by designer Susan Berry, showed me that she was very in tuned to detail, was considerate of my budget restraints, and educated on Craftsman style.. She also sent me photos and websites to research, to help me better define the changes I wanted to make. The suggestions she made would enhance rather than take away from the integrity of this style. In addition, I need to mention that she is easy to communcate with and very professional.

Susan Berry is the ultimate professional representing her field and her art with enthusiasm, stunning, creative designs, and out-of-the-box ideas that continually surprised us with their beauty and functionality. We bought a dilapidated 1926 all beige cottage to convert to my husband's office. So many things that I thought we would just have to "live with" because their could be no solution for improvement, Susan, off the top of her head, had two or three ideas of ways to convert each "problem" into a stunning version of it's arts and crafts heritage. We've worked with Susan in the past. She has designed a new kitchen and a 1500 square foot addition to our home, designed and decorated my husband's former office, and in August of this year she'll begin a complete tear-out and redesign of our home's bathrooms. There is no other architect, designer, or decorator (Susan has the impressive and rare combination of being licensed and sought in all three areas.) that I or my family will entrust with making our dwellings beautiful, functional, and able to capture our vision even when we can't completely voice what we want.
